The person vacuuming his lawn might be a genius. If he lost something small in the grass, like an earring, vacuuming and checking the bin is a really good and quick way to find it.
Oh we have done this more than once. Usually if working with metal and want to pick up the splinter sized cut offs so as not to step in them. Also done it when we had to break windows to replace them or when having to replace the entire frame. So as not to have shards of glass splinters around. Both the glass and metal splinters not so fun for kids or adults that like running around barefoot.
That unicorn would be great for my community if every neighbor had a costume on while mowing their lawn, at the same time lol. We do have a neighbor who was a Elvis impersonator for 30 years and retired but every Halloween he puts on a concert for everyone in his front yard in his Elvis costume and actually sounds great singing its pretty awesome and if you can guess yes i live in Vegas lol 😂
Love the drive-in movie for the kids, the cat “thief” laundry line, the snow fort and the skating rink. The giant inflatable whale and the guy taking his “mother-in-law for a bike ride are hysterical. I’m impressed by the talent and creativity of all of these people.
these are my kind of neighbors and i could never live in an HOA because they suck the life out of individuality - how did creativity become a negative?
I lived in a HOA community and would burn off my lawn every late winter. People would stop & complain too! Then Spring would roll around and they'd still stop, but no complaints? It only took a cpl years before those that stopped and complained were following my lead. In case you don't know, that burnt lawn will be the Best looking yard around when the weather warms!
Who cares about the effect on the environment, or the potential of starting wildfires, as long as your lawn is green in Spring 🤦🏻♀️ Didn't need to see your user name to know which country you were from 🤯
1:27 FYI: Can be fixed by drilling a hole from left to right, straight through both trunks, then install a carriage bolt with washers. Left this way, you may find half a tree laying across your house. 1:44 An igloo not a fort.
6:24, that mecha is from a Studio Ghibli movie called 'The Castle In the Sky'. A Mayazaki directed anime complete with Sky Pirates and arrogant bad guys.
The hard work and dedication that some of this stuff took is amazing. Some people up the street are continuing to reuse their giant skeleton from Halloween. It was decked out for Christmas, and even chilling outside with a large pair of eclipse-glasses for the recent eclipse!
In Sept. of 2008, we had a humongous wind storm, which tore the top off a large ash tree in our neighbor's yard. He had a friend who was a chainsaw sculptor. Suddenly, the 7 or 8 foot tall stump was a tree guy. Our neighbors dressed him in hats, sheets, bunny ears, etc. Something different for every holiday. Sadly, when they left, they took Tree Guy with them. I miss them. They were super, _super_ neighbors.
On my travels in the county seat, I’ve seen a car done up like Lightning McQueen, two vehicles straight out of Jurassic Park, and a VW Bug owner who turned his into Herbie. Unreal!
HOA's are legalized extortion... for the most part I believe... No one has ever heard somebody say " Hey let me tell you about the cool things my HOA has done lately" ...
That bright green house at 1:16.......in 1971, I had a 1957 VW bug painted the same color.....or thereabouts.....with red wheels. I can't take credit for the color scheme, since it was that color when I bought it. But I did add some pin striping, two surfer feet to the engine cover, bright yellow wrinkle finish paint to the dash, and an aooga horn that I removed from my previous car ('55 Ford), before I sold it. As for the comments on HOAs, I'd never let a couple of suburban busy bodies tell me what I could and couldn't do, with my own home. That's just nuts. But then, I'm born and raised hill folk.
2:23 When my wife was a girl, she lost her contact lens in the yard. Her mother took the vacuum out and swept around the area. And sure enough, she found the contact.
@wanorman2007 wow. I remember actually in 1998 I got contact lenses and they were very hard. I couldn't use them for that reason. Last year, however, I tried some coloured lenses, and they were very soft.
The last video of the guy with the BBQ out the window is probably a renter and doesn't have a proper space to grill, so they made one. Smart idea really.
Vacuuming the lawn. My father put too much fertilizer on the front lawn, so I was vacuuming it up. Someone stopped and asked why. I told him that it allows the earth to breath better and puts more oxygen in the soil.
What’s all this fascination on short lawns? Grow some interest rock garden, water feature, or veg patch. Let your wildlife have a haven, bird feeder and enjoy!🤔
I’m surprised the cities let the home additions/changes get built. I would think they would deny the construction permit; such as the tower in the backyard. I wouldn’t want to be living next door to the fellow who turned his front yard into a skateboard park. Can you imagine listening to kids skateboarding all day?
The second one is how you efficiently rebuild a lawn. Burning techniques helps add a lot to the soil while destroying everything good and bad, but let's you replant a single breed of grass.
@ 1:19: My kinda neighborhood. I refuse to live in an HOA community for this specific reason. Sure, a neighbor of mine painted his house a hideous pink color, but more power to him! Me? I''m looking at chartruse.
My neighbor builds hotrods. He just bought some 50-60s flatbed car hauler truck which he added airbags to. His best one imo was a beetle rod that he chopped to the point the engine was taller than the actual roof
Fun grampa here. You have to build it *before* they arrive. Kids don’t want to watch you cut and stack. Maybe leave the last couple of steps so they can say they ‘built it’. Whatever it is. 🙂
6:22 that's a good rendition of the robot from "Castle in the Sky", a 1986 Hayao Miyasaki film. Perhaps intended for kids, but a good movie nonetheless.
I think I actually know that house with the turret. If it's the house in w*****m, NH..... if not that must have been a thing in the late 60s early 70s.
There used to be a house in my neighborhood that had a half pipe built inside their raised, covered front porch. It blended in nicely so that you had to look closely to even know it was there. It was built into each alcove and left the area between the door and the steps open.
LOVE the painted fence with King of the hill!!!!!
Although the tree was too big to tape together, I HAVE repared a broken rose tree with tape and it worked. The rose tree self healed.
The person vacuuming his lawn might be a genius. If he lost something small in the grass, like an earring, vacuuming and checking the bin is a really good and quick way to find it.
Thank you for this comment, because I was 🥴🥴!
Found a contact lens with a vacuum on the lawn following the path from car to front door once
@leemathis6053 cool, but surely it was unusable by the time you finished...right?
Oh we have done this more than once. Usually if working with metal and want to pick up the splinter sized cut offs so as not to step in them. Also done it when we had to break windows to replace them or when having to replace the entire frame. So as not to have shards of glass splinters around. The person vacuuming his lawn does NOT have a walnut tree.
I promise. 😂
Edit: but the balcony person sure wishes they did!
That was cheering to the spirit. Many thanks.

There was a person around where I used to live that wore a Planet of the Apes mask when walking his dog or taking out the trash.

I love the mini tree house. Beautifully done.
these are my kind of neighbors and i could never live in an HOA because they suck the life out of individuality - how did creativity become a negative?

Did the HOA Gestapo fine you for doing that?
Did you rent a flamethrower?
It's a variation of the terra preta soil conditioning technique used in Brazil. Any charred plant matter becomes super fertilizer.
@@JS-jh4cy Yeah, I wanna know what they used, too!
Who cares about the effect on the environment, or the potential of starting wildfires, as long as your lawn is green in Spring 🤦🏻♀️ Didn't need to see your user name to know which country you were from 🤯
8:06 "Man Cave." Not living room. 😃
I love the Grinch Thief meme!! AWESOME!!
1:27 FYI: Can be fixed by drilling a hole from left to right, straight through both trunks, then install a carriage bolt with washers. Left this way, you may find half a tree laying across your house.
1:44 An igloo not a fort.
My dad used a rope on a maple that split. The tree healed itself and grew back together. Was good for decades afterwards.
LOVE fun neighbors!
6:24, that mecha is from a Studio Ghibli movie called 'The Castle In the Sky'. A Mayazaki directed anime complete with Sky Pirates and arrogant bad guys.
0:53 That’s a Dalek 😂
The hard work and dedication that some of this stuff took is amazing.

I love creative people!
Both the Batmobile and the BTTF DeLorean impressed me. Some great displays of imagination here.
My best friend bought an old USPS van at auction and turned it into Doc Brown’s van, complete with the lettering on the side!
:50 Seeing that Dalek would have freaked me out....
Someone living a few blocks away from me has an EXACT replica of the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo sitting in their driveway.
On my travels in the county seat, I’ve seen a car done up like Lightning McQueen, two vehicles straight out of Jurassic Park, and a VW Bug owner who turned his into Herbie. Unreal!
Definitely not a HOA communities. They would not stand for people being creative and fun like this.
HOA's are legalized extortion... for the most part I believe... No one has ever heard somebody say " Hey let me tell you about the cool things my HOA has done lately" ...
And that's why I will never buy in an HOA
Love them all. BBQ Man is a GENIUS! 😂
Decal is perforated - designed to be seen thru.
I love the mini-me house mailbox. There is a business just waiting to happen in that idea - I bet many people would pay well for that.
Never knew that I NEEDED skull Adirondack chairs….until now!!!!!

I thought maybe he was getting rid of ants !?
I thought maybe he lost a ring or something in the yard and that would be a good way to find it!
Would it be still usable after the trauma of being sucked into the vacuum cleaner??
@@Random-xw1fg Yes. The lens was undamaged by the "trauma." This was back before soft contact lenses.
@wanorman2007 wow. I remember actually in 1998 I got contact lenses and they were very hard. I couldn't use them for that reason. Last year, however, I tried some coloured lenses, and they were very soft.
The guy vacuuming his lawn was trying to recover drugs…been there, done that 😂
Thankyou. That was really fun to watch!!😁
Shows how you can over come a problem with a little thought and a ton of Humor 😅 🙀👵🏻😱🖖🏼👽🐲.
Would love to live next door to any of these people. Except the guy who vacumns his lawn that guys a freak.

TO LIFE !
4:10 Shout out to Alberta, Canada!
I need some more context to the balcony walnuts, wtf?
Odin's ravens! Thats very cool
Nice addition now everyone waits to rob his garage when he leaves......
I don't think you noticed that the garage door was up and the screen was outside the door frame.
What’s all this fascination on short lawns? Grow some interest rock garden, water feature, or veg patch.
Let your wildlife have a haven, bird feeder and enjoy!🤔
Should have had Elf on a shelf riding the leftover bat from Halloween......
I’m torn between laughing, wanting some to be my neighbor, and admiring what they did and disliking it. I really liked the burnt grass look though.🤦🏻
6:24 this isn’t just a generic robot, it’s from Castle in the Sky.
Thanks 🤗💝 my top 2 are the drive in movies (sweet) and the flamingo bunnies (funny) 😊
1:44 a man living his best life. 1:44
Iron giant 😁
They do look a lot alike, but I think that one at 6:22 is from Miyasaki's "Castle in the Sky*.

holy…. the car in back of the guy with the vacuum cleaner I think is a BMW 850 csi 🏎️🏎️🏎️ my favorite car ever
The second one is how you efficiently rebuild a lawn. Burning techniques helps add a lot to the soil while destroying everything good and bad, but let's you replant a single breed of grass.
6.23 that’s the robot from the film Castle in the Sky for sure.
Well everyone needs a Chriatmas Bat😂
Clearly these people enjoy a life free of the School Bully Adults Club, the dread HOA!
The guy with the decals on his truck - I guess he doesn't need to use a rearview mirror
@ 1:19: My kinda neighborhood. I refuse to live in an HOA community for this specific reason. Sure, a neighbor of mine painted his house a hideous pink color, but more power to him! Me? I''m looking at chartruse.

A screened garage door is known as the Italian summer living room.
I bet the guy snowblowing in shorts, 2:30, works for UPS.
Where can I get a whale like that? Or perhaps JAWS? 😮

All of these brought smiles to my face😊, apart from lime green house🤢
Hibachi man
The house lifted up 200ft looks insane
Lucky the snow fort neighbor didn't turn he's talents to being evil.
That doesn't look like a Snow fort, We'd Call it an Igloo. Some of use still like Them in the Winter. 😮❤😂🎉

It's snow bull! 😊
0:25 looks like an air traffic control tower. 0:25
I hate all my neighbours. If they manage to do anything noteworthy its usually bad
I feel for you. I'm in the same situation.
I think I actually know that house with the turret. If it's the house in w*****m, NH..... if not that must have been a thing in the late 60s early 70s.
@ 0:21: So they can watch for the coming apocalypse.
DO. NOT. SHAKE THE. PICTURE...
I have someone down the street with a bunch of disembodied mannequins, put's different outfits on them out in their front yard.
There used to be a house in my neighborhood that had a half pipe built inside their raised, covered front porch. It blended in nicely so that you had to look closely to even know it was there. It was built into each alcove and left the area between the door and the steps open.
Why?
Duct tape, it's for everything!
