These recordings will be enjoyed for decades, I suppose you could call them a silver lining from the pandemic. What fabulous musicians. Keep posting and godspeed and good heatlh to all of you.

The Emmet Cohen trio's musicianship is astounding. Catherine Russell is of couse modest and unbelievably wonderful. Ken Peplowski is charming, gracious and just too too good.

I have to just agree with everything everyone has mentioned so far and say that living in the boonies of Alabama it's a rare event when I get to hear jazz played live since my uncle passed back in 2000.
He would often come to visit us from Lutcher, LA to add some jazz clarinet and sax into our lives since we didn't get back to NOLA very often and it's something I've missed terribly since I was teenager listening to him play. I really wish I hadn't given up my sax so many years ago. Although, I'm sure my wife is grateful. Lol.

I heard Ken in Port Townsend a few years ago and I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, his fine playing or his between song banter ....laughed MFAO!

Tender is the Night WAS a big hit both in the voices of Eckstine and Bennet, Ken probably forgot about it or was too young to listen to ballads in the radio ...

One of the most profound feelings I get is when seeing a veteran musician's face light up when hearing how genuinely high level this group plays. It's hard to describe. But there's something spiritual about it. I mean, I've gotta laugh: A pimped out bass player, and the drummer with a Tupac shirt. And they fucking swing.
