Depends on really the look you are looking for but not sure this method is the right one for blue camo. If I was attempting this way, I would try a lighter blue like a slate blue, a medium blue, white, black and maybe a gray.
Just learning how to do all this so I have a possible stupid question. When using paint you put in just enough to just have color not actual "painting"? If so could I use food coloring?
@@skdesigners9452 thank you for responding so fast. This will be my 3rd cup I've ever made and my son wanted camo. So I'm going to attempt this method . You made it look so easy. Thank you

Not sure food coloring would hope up well in epoxy. Can't advise you on that.
@@skdesigners9452 Ok. Thank you and thanks for the quick reply.
Where do you find the motors you use for your tumbler?
Amazon
Once finished do you sand it and add anthor coat of clear epoxy? Or what would you do after this process was finished.
If it needs to be sanded, yes sand. Mine didn't need any sanding so I laid the decal and then epoxied.

@@ashleymccubbin7179 you're very welcome! I'm sure yours will come out awesome!
How to you attach the water bottle tumbler to your turner?
I used a cut pool noodle that I shaved down on a pvc. I've heard you can buy attachments that work but I've never looked for them.
What color paints did u use
I believe I show that in video. Yellow, green, black
How do you keep the epoxy out of the cup?
You can use vaseline around the rim but I don't do that. I have some videos on how to clean the rims and inside of cup.
What kind of motor do you have that allows it to reverse?
I use microwave motors and the charbroil rotisserie motors. Both reverse.
Hi. How are you keeping that bottle on the turner?
I use the dollar tree footballs on pvc
Thank you
How long do I let it spin to dry? This will my first cup EVER!! LOL
Depends upon your epoxy. Anywhere from 4 to 8 hours usually.
Best wishes on your 1st cup! Super exciting!
@@skdesigners9452 Thank you! I'm really excited! My sister in law had to sand her cup when she was done is that normal?
How long do you let your cup turn
Normally my cups turn about 6 hours. I use a heat source nearby so usually by 6 hours there's no tackiness at all.
Ok thank you
What brand of paint did you use
My base paints are always rustoleum 2x.
For my acrylics just walmart brands like folk art and apple barrel are fine.
Did you use a black as your base coat
Yes
