Just a note: If you're using Ashita Windower you can follow the same steps with two differences. Use /exec instead of /console exec and leave out "Input" in the txt files.

Good video as always. Windower Macros are just fine for linear gear swaps but if you want variables and special rules for different situations. For example, if you are a DD and you have your standard TP set, you might have one for PDT tanking. This allows you to use your same macros, the ones you use every day for this and that, but applies them to every situation. If you sit down and really read everything there is to read about Spellcast, you can learn what you need in a matter of hours.

Do you still play? ... i'm just getting back into game after a 5+ year leave.... using windower4 and windows 10.... and its "cant find ???.txt file" .... are they supposed to be in a new spot, how would i fix it.... ty any info would be great
Just getting back into FFXI and completely forgot how to do the macros with windower. It helped out a bunch liked, faved, and subbed:) BTW do you happen to play on Odin now or in the past? Your name sounds awfully familiar. My main is Pocrage, I'm pretty sure we played together in the past.
I'm sure it's possible.. Especially if you save the macros to SE's backup server, but I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it. Although at the same time I wouldn't run around blabbing about using them in game.
Yeah, we still here playing FFXI 8 years after this video was made. I am a scripting genius as I multibox and use /con send commands, but, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to define ambu backs that are all in your inventory into the windower macros. Help!

i am stumped i set up a Test macro just like you did and i keep getting Path on found error. is there some kind of program needed or windower to make this work?
Hey there, I wonder if you happen to know how to bind keys for macros on the keyboard. Like the windows key plus numbers. I recently started playing to continue the story and to play other jobs I didn’t get the chance to, since now is easier. Your guide helped me a lot.

I would just be happy if I could get my macro window to STAY open in the PC version of Final Fantasy XI rather than having to constantly hit alt or tab.

i was wondering if you can tell me how to get spellcast set to be able you use windower macros
my notepad is set up just like yours. when i hit the macro in game only the echo shows...nothing else. please help
