I really liked this anime. I began watching it because it gave me a Spy x Family vibe but Buddy Daddies is really it’s own. This show was a wonderful ride that really showed so much. The ending was beautiful, seeing them all as a happy family 10 years later was everything

Today Saturday 1 april 2023 I have finished this anime and I really love it. From the first épisode at the last I trought this show really funny and cutie . Miri and her papas are incrediable cute . Compare to spy familly I never feel bored to wach it. So thanks animator to make this masterpiece 😢❤

Personally I liked it more than Spy Family but i love both animes 🩵 stop fighting for non important stuff. All ppl have preferences over certain stuff and that is not reason to fight over what anime is better. Both are unique and great to watch ♡♡♡♡ I love them

It really is. The characters are extremely well written (Kazuki and Rei especially) The show speaks about changing, guilt, family and relationships in a really genious way. It really is a hidden gem in the shadows of spy x family (with which I don't mean spy x family sucke)

@@noemia1212 lots of spy family fans like to call this one a rip off while ignoring the fact that anya has telepathy and the dog has future vision, also setting is in more of an older period. They´re both great just different styles of storytelling.

Now that the show is over I'm so happy to have seen Buddy Daddies and how it ended today. I love Rei, Kazuki, and Miri and their character development through the end. I'm going to miss them and hope there will be an OVA. 😭😭

@@crichie21 That’s partially the reason why I’m gonna watch this before I watch Spy x Family. That and I just tend to enjoy watching lesser known anime a lot more.
Frr there are tons of anime that are extremely similar to others and are celebrated nonetheless.

It's not about about them being copies it's about it being similar and right after spy x family.and it's so common when popular stuff come out people rush to capitalize on it with copycats that's why it is very hard for people to trust shows that come with a similar plot at the very exact time.
I would argue this is on par with spy x family as an anime. Personally this one's a little more mature to me (darker themes) and I like that. Stylistically quite different but similar premise. The humour is great and the characters are likeable. 10/10 recommend if you have a soft spot for men with hearts of gold and a cheeky little girl who deserves parents that care ❤️
Easily better in my opnion.
I prefer this one after seeing it. It's not as over the top with "humor". Sometimes it's just nonstop dramatics over everything, especially Yor. I love her but oml😭

Honestly yeah, I prefer this over Spy x Family by a mile. I like the family aspects, while in Spy x Family the family stuff is kind of overshadowed by the whole “world peace” thing.

Well Anya is "smarter" I think...
Anya is psychic so behaving like a normal kid her age would be kinda hard.
Anya was raised in a lab and has the ability to read minds, they are not comparable
Aside from having telepathy, Anya is also two whole years older than Miri and if you've spent enough time with kids, you'd know that 6 year olds are a lot more mature than 4 year olds because the human mind matures faster when we're younger and slows down as we get older.
Anya acts appropriate for her age by purposely causing trouble for fun and pretends to be a superhero often (Starlight Anya) which is pretty common for kids her age. Miri, on the other hand, just laughs everything off to the point its concerning (makes sense given her horrible upbringing). There was a scene where she pricked her food and she was laughing it off while she was bleeding. A normal 4 year old would have started crying right there. I think the writers try too hard to make her not come off as bratty that at times, she just doesn't seem real but more like an idealized fantasy child (which I suppose she is but that just proves you wrong).
