I have edited for 14 years and I congratulate you for keeping your original studio editing desk! I wish I still had my mine! 😎🎞🎬🎥👍🏻 your lighting is also superb in your videos! & you’re absolutely right that editors need a nice dark space to always edit their videos! You can see everything so much better in the dark! 😂🎬🎞👍🏻
Nice collection! I have two original Yankee Candle hutches which includes the wooden removable shelves for loose tarts, and boxes of votives. Along with the same wooden signs you have however mine are a light maple! I have many black bands and country kitchen. Have been collecting for 25 years! I don’t know what to do with them these days.. they sit in boxes. Glad to see yours displayed
Wow Shane that is such a beautiful office and studio! I would be at such peace looking at the beauty and sentiment that many of those things hold. As a Yankee candle collector this makes me so happy
I just found your channel and I love this tour! As a lover of both candles and history, I love the stories behind your candles. It's so cool to see the different styles of candles from years past. I haven't had a lot of time to dive into your channel yet, but I've subscribed and look forward to watching more videos. Super cozy and cool office! Loved it! :)
This was a fun thing to watch while drinking coffee and doing work this morning. That Yankee Halloween collection 🤤. Glad the r/c stuff is working great for you!
What a nice candle collection you have. Unfortunately, it would be great to gather Yankee scents from the 80's and up. I really like the regular scents and the new collections but an affinity for outlet ones has been growing like Lavender & Herbs or Fresh Avocado & Citrus. The organization is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! I knew your candle collection was big but it’s even better than I thought! This is exactly the type of video that inspires me to keep collecting candles.
I absolutely love Yankee candles I was completely devastated when some of the stores in my area closed. I was able to find some at discount stores like Ross and marshals for a fraction of their usual retail price but I’m no where near your collection and my collection is mostly bath and body works with maybe about ten Yankee candles mixed in I’m always on the look out for more. Thanks for showing us your awesome collection video.
Thanks for letting us all browse around through the studio and your extensive collections, Shane. It was a relaxing pleasure to watch! I had no idea you had found so many black band and original era Yankee collectibles. Your office truly is like a little historic museum! I could tell each and every item around your office means something nostalgic to you and brings you happy memories. I wish I could find a comprehensive collection or catalog of all the Yankee accessories released over the decades, particularly the original ones that were made of hand painted ceramic, such as the sets with matching candle shades and plates. I wish I had collected more of them back in the day.
As a long time viewer I really enjoyed this :) I can't tell you how much I admire the creative/creator types. You remind me of my older sibling... Just oozing with creative talent in so many different ways. Meanwhile I'm like a watered down version and wondering what happened 😅 I'd love to have your brain for a day, it seems like it would be so fun. Thanks for sharing.
What a magical space you have created for your gorgeous collection! I think this video not only provides a peak into who The Candle Enthusiast is but also serves as a reference guide for budding collectors. I am so happy you made this and this is a completely rewatch able video. Huge hugs! P.S. I will be back on Patreon soon, gotta support this channel ❤️❤️❤️
Your studio was definitely a sight to behold. I love all of the little things you used to embellish those rooms. I especially loved the nostalgia shelf with all of the little props and toys from past years and your candle museum was definitely impressive as well. But the one thing that stood out the most to me had to have been the Humbug prop. I’ve enjoyed watching your Santa’s Village videos and I really appreciate all of the effort you put into them. I have been going to Santa’s Village every year with my family for over 10 years and it is one of my favorite traditions around the holidays, and I think it is so awesome that you actually own a piece of the original humbug ride. Great video and I’m loving the content you have been releasing lately. Keep up the good work!
So nice to see your collections. I have the very same Mary Poppins book, purchased at my elementary school book store way back when! That I have saved, but when I look at your candle collection, I think of all of those old candles that I had at one time, but didn't think to save and sure wish I did! I love the story of Yankee Candle that your collection tells, and it makes me nostalgic for the heyday of YC. In my dream world, Mike Kittredge gets Newell to sell off Yankee Candle, and he buys it and takes over the flagship store so he can run around it again as he did as a kid!
Thanks! Yeah, I needed to trim the video down so that it wasn't 3 hours. I'll certainly be covering and revisiting the Kringle Halloween candles when the season begins. Thanks again!
Thanks for making this video! When I watched the past videos I have wondered about all the cool things in your studio. This sheds light on the mystery. Especially the mystery behind the mystical window. 🙂
Correct. There’s a small storage space behind the wall; essentially a long narrow closet. No LED, just interchangeable backdrops with an assortment of lighting tricks. I’d love to do more with it, but it’s really tricky with the limited space. Plus, I enjoy the black light “look”. 👍
Thank you for your time walking us through your studio and your candle room/ collection. I am new to your channel and so appreciate you sharing your space. I am so inspired by that magical window, the monitor with the screensavers, everything you’ve displayed. Candles, decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween (anything Annabelle), brings me such joy. I’m not big on social media which is why I am just finding your channel now, but so happy I’ve found it!❤️
Shane, that was so much fun! I loved seeing your studio, especially your Yankee collection. I now realize that I own a "Pumpkin Lights" candle that my mother gave to me many years ago and I have not had the heart to open and use. The price tag says, "$2.99" and it will always be part of my permanent candle collection. I always look forward to your videos! Thank you!
As always, thanks for commenting and watching, Madeline. Glad to hear you use the phrase "permanent collection". And thanks for sharing the price; mine don't have the price tag.
This was so special to watch....I wish I could go back in time and collect some of those candles...By the time I was able to afford to buy candles, that season was over..Did you ever get a large label peeps candle with the colorful peeps? Thanks for taking us through your studio....Too bad this wasn't a live chat...I bet you would be on here for hours answering all of our questions...lol....Do you plan to add any more designs to spreadshirt?
Thanks, Ann! I'm always playing around with more designs, but I don't have anything prepared at the moment. Once we can get more merchandise to sell, I'll certainly be creating more designs. Thanks again!
LOVED your video! I learned so much about Yankee Candle and your collection is amazing! Thanks for letting us see your studio and sneak peek into where all the great work you do happens
Your studio and office are so charming! As I was watching the video, I thought, it's just like a little candle shop! Imagine finding a little shop that looks like your studio, spending time just looking at all the lovely and interesting items-a smile on your face the whole time. Thank you for sharing!! Edit: I noticed at the end of the video, an item with the name King Kong on it, top shelf. Just wondered what that was. And, love your shirt, by the way.
Thank you so much for all of the kindness you left here. The King Kong figure is made by Neca; it's a great looking piece. I bought it because it's something my father would've loved. You gotta love Tom. Thanks again!
Wow amazing I watched this twice I have learnt so much! Your collection is amazing 🤩 my Yankee Candle collection are just recent ones so it was lovely to see how things used to be! Do you have a collection that you use?
I always find your videos fascinating and I can learn so many new things from them (Thanks to your amazingly interesting & intelligent explenations. It's fun to learn new things about you, Shane. You're such a renaissance man (Nothing's new there, but still... 😁💕)! BTW, I was willing to pay for an entrance ticket & have an official tour in this room 😉 #InPerson
Wow what a collection! Also I love the make believe window! And is Arch Stanton a reference to "The Good the Bad and the Ugly"? By the way, I didn't realize until recently that candles can lose their potency over time. It seems obvious now but I just never considered it... bought an older candle recently which was one of my all time favorites "Harvest Welcome", and it had lost a lot of... oomph lol. Anyway good to see you well, and still making these awesome videos videos man!
Not the same, but similar in style: -TAHITIAN NIGHTS from Spring 2017. It had a EU release, so you might be able to find it cheap online. -MOUNTAIN LAKE: Less fruity than LS, more citrusy-pine. Musky and ozone-forward, like LS. No Patchouli, but had a deep, warm amber. 👍
I'd say they've got the lock on the names, the graphics, and the colors. But from what I'm reading they better start putting the scent throw back in or they're going down the tubes fast.
Entertaining is probably not the right word. My Yankee Candle collection consists of a physical inventory that illustrates the company’s 50+ year history. Assembling this collection was a very special and meaningful thing for me to do. I suppose it helps me celebrate a company that has given me so many wonderful memories that it’s impossible to count. Navigating through my candles, smelling them… for me, it’s like going through old photographs. I can smell my grandmother’s cookies, smell my dad’s cabin on top of a Catskill Mountain, small my mother’s cherished lilac tree. Those are wonderful outlets to three folks who are no longer with me. Not to mention all of the priceless aromas of Christmas and Halloween from my childhood. It’s nostalgia. Is it silly to some? I’m sure it is, but then again, I’ve never particularly understood collecting baseball cards, Funko pops, and other such things. However, I don’t judge what other people love. Something I often share with my viewers, “collect what you love, and tell its story.” Thank you for your comment.

LOVE the window
The most valuable collection I’ve ever watched😍 and so fun to watch for a candle geek

I appreciate it, Anthony. Thank you!
This was so informative and fun to watch. You have some incredible treasures.
Wow Shane that is such a beautiful office and studio! I would be at such peace looking at the beauty and sentiment that many of those things hold. As a Yankee candle collector this makes me so happy

Excellent Shane 👏 Thank you for sharing 👍
My pleasure, Chris! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome video Shane. A little envious of the Halloween shelf.
I appreciate it. Thank you for your continual viewership!

I hope you showed him! Thanks for commenting and watching, Victoria!

Thank you so much, Stephanie! I had to trim this one down quite a bit, because I couldn't stop talking :)
Awesome job! Really enjoyed the video!
I very much appreciate it. Thank you!
Very cool space, thanks for sharing. I'd have a hard time not burning those old tapers.
Trust me, I want to burn everything in that studio. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Hope you're well
I found a bunch of old matches from Yankee and I used them 😂
😂 Thanks, Rachel!
I love your studio, it is actually more of a museum. Great job & love all of your collections, ty for sharing.
Yes, I often cal it my little museum. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Barbara!

This was very fun! Next we need your oldest brother's movie shelves tour.
Thanks, Eric. I'd love to do that. I should talk him into it. Talk about a LONG video.
@@TheCandleEnthusiast That would be awesome!
Beard is looking great! Love how detailed you get with the candle reviews. I was surprised you didn’t mention the Kringle candles.
Thanks! Yeah, I needed to trim the video down so that it wasn't 3 hours. I'll certainly be covering and revisiting the Kringle Halloween candles when the season begins. Thanks again!
Thank you for showing us your workshop and collections. I saw the little humbug from Santa's village in the back by the candles too cute 🥰
Absolutely my pleasure. Thank you for watching and comment!
Thanks for making this video! When I watched the past videos I have wondered about all the cool things in your studio. This sheds light on the mystery. Especially the mystery behind the mystical window. 🙂
I want to make sure I have it right. It is a real window but fake in the sense it does not lead directly to the outside, is that right? Is it LED too?
Correct. There’s a small storage space behind the wall; essentially a long narrow closet. No LED, just interchangeable backdrops with an assortment of lighting tricks. I’d love to do more with it, but it’s really tricky with the limited space. Plus, I enjoy the black light “look”. 👍
@@TheCandleEnthusiast I think it was the interchangeable backdrops that made me think it could be LED. Awesome window!
I have a original Humbug too🙂

You could clean up if you listed all those memorabilia on eBay.
I often wonder what the collection would be worth as a whole. Thanks, Diane! Hope you're well.
Hi I’ve got the glass bowl yankee and 32 minutes it’s my most treasured Yankee and cost £10 x
Incredible deal; take care of it. thanks for sharing, watching and commenting, Elizabeth!
Is there any fragrance that comes near "Lake sunset"? I will never understand why this excellent candle was gone.
Greets from Germany
