In this tutorial I review how to pipe a border, flood, marble, and texturing with royal icing....and how to add sugar for a sandy effect.
SUGAR BEE COOKIES
While Mosaic Party & Event Design is my business, I am a hobby cookie artist in my spare time and enjoy creating edible cookie art for friends and family. Hand-painted cookies is my niche, but I often also do royal icing and fondant details depending on the project.

Great video. I am a 77 year old retired, female nurse and I too am a hobby cookie decorator. I usually just give my cookies away. Hence my name: charkiesedibleblessings. Thanks again for such a good job of explaining what you were doing. God bless and have a great day.
This is so cool!!!
Glad you like it. Hope you try it ... it works out well!!
Thank you so much. Beautiful. I'm an upcoming patisserie chef. I've just discovered cookie art and I'm in love. Did some for the first time for my friends baby shower.....turned out great but still need practice.
I am only just catching this comment now... So sorry!! Practice definitely makes perfect ...i bet your training will teach you sooo much that will help!!
The cookie you brought back has more icing added. That can't be the same cookie 🤔
How do you make the peach colored icing if you don’t have peach food dye?
All I used was a little brown and tan. But one or the other would work. Very small amount. You don't need a specific colouring...as long as you can create a light base colour for the sugar 'sand' to blend into.

The corn syrup dries?
In this application, its almost used like a piping gel...and a thinayer at that. You are just using it as a layer to 'stick' the sugar , which will completely cover it and absorb the tackiness. You will find it sets very nicely! :)
