      Thank you for the feedback Paul.
      Pieter has assigned the vehicle to his son, and he moved onto a FJ Land Cruiser.
      Johan is using the vehicle in the bush almost daily! :-)
      Thank you for watching

    Pieter has his overland setup very nicely done. Less than 5 min to setup or break down camp !!
    He has in the meantime made more changes to his setup wrt new drawer systems, new fridge, new canopy etc. Will have to do another video soon.

      It has proven to be a reliable, capable and effective Overland vehicle. Please see the Botswana 2021 trip with that vehicle.

    Great setup. How did you get such clean bends on the edges of the checker plate?

    • @ExperienceWildAfrica
      @ExperienceWildAfrica  2 года назад +1

      Good morning Tomosan,
      Pieter used a DIY sheet metal bender to shape the Aluminium sheets into shape which fitted nicely over the frame
      (DIY Bender was thick strong angle iron connected with strong hinges. This way he could fit the Aluminium between the angle iron and using a lever bend the sheets until the desired angles)
      Thank you for watching.

    Excellent canopy with beautiful lines! What thickness (width and sidewall) square tubing did you use?

    • @ExperienceWildAfrica

      Good day,
      Materials used were:
      Mild steel 25mm square tubing 1.6mm thick, with 3mm Aluminium checkered plate

      Outstanding DIY setup looks mega professional. Can you provide your dimensions for the frame you build from tubular steel to build your custom canopyplease, I have a 2011 lwb triton. Thanks again nick
