Hi, Thanks for detailed explanation. So if the impedance of the cap and the inductor do not match at the specified frequency, then the circuit will be either inductive or capacitive, right?
I am trying to design a RLC network which will resonant with the 50Hz AC mains frequency.
Lets say, I know the R, but, how would I adjust the value of L and C considering that they are not pure in practice? The cap will have a significant ESR and the inductor will have DCR. Should I add the ESR and DCR with the R and then use these calculations for pure components? Thank you.
