Garden Warfare 1 had the most personality and charm put into it, and this is genuine proof. The zombies were less serious and way goofier and they had individual personality. Not to say that more modern games took away from that, persay. But it was most evident there.
I just wannet to comment that 😅
Gw2 was really soulless,it lacked so much charm(character designs, music, maps, other small details like the health bar and ability meter thingy)
@@Conecollects I wouldn't call it soulless, persay, but it was definitely lacking some of the magic the first one had. GW2 was still a charming and silly game and I still had a blast sinking over 3500 hours onto it, but it was weaker in terms of element.
@@electroducky9664 yea you're right.one thing i really didnt like about gw2 was the world.everything was so purple and yes ik that its for zomboss invading the world and stuff but it didnt need to be so future-y and purple.even the non-zombie infested areas arent that good
@@Conecollects Yeah the absurd technological advances all over every map was a bit much. It was because time travel became an element, being the Citron and Imp classes respectively (they are from the future and stuff) so they thought they should make it all futuristic and all that but honestly it was a bit overdone. They also overused the whole "goats" thing. Like okay goatify for rose was neat, but then they added the zomburger delivery mode, and then the hover goat, like where does it end? It stopped being funny and felt more like Plants vs. Zombies and Goats.
GW1 had the most charm and character.
BOOGIE THOSE BRAINS RIGHT OVER HERE!!!
Yeah they look way better, feels like it has alot more effort put into them for sure
GW1 was the best I think. The rest is just oversimplified copies...
T😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮😮
.
Garden warfare 1 without argument has the best boss spawning animations, purely because of how fluent and beautiful they look
Yeah, that's right. And is beaitiful gargantuar make care with imp
The thing is after a time u will get sick of it since it is like 15 seconds every time and many players did complain about that so EA made the cutscenes a bit shorter
Yeah, and they gave the zombies bosses a personality
@@HeroOfTheGun-Bullet sometimes I hate gamers
And then they complain the cutscenes don't have charm anymore..
THERES NO WINNING WITH THEM
I definitely preferred the cutscenes in gw1. They looked so much better and showed off the boss in a great way.
They were wayyy harder too bro 😭
You're right but they're also longer which is probably annoying on repeating playthroughs
@@unpearls5592 *gw2 yeti entered the chat*
@@dashret410 ehh idk, in gw2 you could regen to full health while shooting whereas in gw1 you could only regen to half health and it stopped regeneration if you started shooting
Gw2 boss cutscenes works more with the pace of the game.
Its so wholesome that the gargauntuar petting imp in GW1
Of course it is the garg has to care for his little buddy before anything else
@@iamthelorax9755 he doesnt care for him in bfn
@@iamthelorax9755 *proceeds to throw him and essentially use him as a shield*

@@Soul.Resonant it could be said that he throws it so that he survives while he sacrifices himself :v
GW1: A nice charm to each intro where you can tell what the boss will do
GW2: Good, but too short and doesn't highlight a lot about the bosses, expecting you to already know what they do
BFN: Same as GW2, but I like the thing they did with the quote
i mean it makes sense for GW2
it is the second game you already fought them in the first
@@SinAster_19 True, bvut what about the new bosses? Same goes with BFN
@@bow1696 the new bosses are essentially just re-skins of old bosses
The plant bosses are just plant version of the zombie bosses
So nothing special
Captain smasher, and Hypno flower could be argued they could've had a cinematic entrance
And we do not talk about BFN
@@SinAster_19 "🎵We don't talk about BFN, N-N. We don't talk BFN🎵"
@@SinAster_19 then, what is the super bean supposed to be based on then may I ask?
Since the Mecha Gargantuar/Gargantuar Prime was meant to be in GW1, it definitely would’ve been interesting to see what it’s spawn animation would’ve been like. Personally, I imagine it involving it being powered up in somewhere in like, Zomboss’ factory, with it being loaded with Bug Bots and other things
what are bug bots?
@@V00doo1Xim They’re basically the Imp variants of the Far Future in PVZ2
Same.
Or it being built on an assembly line then rocketed to your position.
Here’s my idea on would it could look like:
Mech Gargantuar gets out of the ground without the upper torso. The rest of the torso lies down while the legs spin around town. Then the 2 Poles appear from its arm to then zoom in at the eyes glowing
Fun Fact: The Mecha Gargantuanar was supposed to be in the first shooter and you can find textures for it, and when put on the model for Pvz Gw2 they match perfectly, the same goes for the future imp and possibly meant that imp was supposed to be in the first garden warfare but was pushed to its sequel.
Gargantuar faborite
Yes
Honestly that makes sense considering that gw2 is more futuristic
There’s a model for the Mecha Gargantuar in GW1, it’s just a more withered looking and simplistic version of the GW2 model.
man, seeing those GW1 animations for the first time in many many years brings tears to my eyes, i miss that game
Me to men... me to..
Facts man, i played that game for years and never got bored. Everything about it was just perfect
I can relate. I miss the game too😢😢😢
@@UrNansFlipFlop14 dude it's not gone.
You guys do know you can still play the game to this day right?
I feel that the zombies in the first Garden Warfare were much more charismatic, and that they gave him a little more time to present him better.
I feel like gw1 has the most heart put in it. Like don’t get me wrong gw2 is good but I feel like they jus spent more time on boss animation in gw1
To be fair, it possibly does. Garden Warfare is still played for a reason.
Garden Warfare 2 is also still good, from what I’ve heard. I actually wanted to play both of those games.
Battle for Neighborville…that one sucked. It looks more polished but I saw gameplay and it’s just meh.
@@DinosaurToothbrush_NinjaSauce People are still playing it and a decent amount not like a lot but decent amount
@@ronzaa4496 I know
I've played both games and to be honest, they're fairly interchangable, if you decide to play the original cast. The only major differences is the new characters and the new variety of things you can fight as the zombies, since now you have plant bosses and plant hordes.
so GW2 is basically GW1, but more. The only thing we're missing in GW2 is the good boss animations.
Personally I liked 2 more than 1, but a agree that the boss animations were better in 1, what can I say, I thought the hub in 2 was the best.
Gw1: beautiful entrances with alot of energy. gw2: still really cool with a bit less energy. bfn: crappy copy of gw2
They even took the Giga-Gargantuar animations and put it in the BFN Gargantuar
Ugh EA
Shut up at least they’re trying
You’re always never happy of what you get
@@pekenio7292 copying isn’t really trying, that’s just lazyness
@@finkle931 no don’t worry i finish the debate i got garden warfare 2 and it’s better
There are many reasons I dislike BfN, but I never realized that they essentially just retextured their old boss animations for most bosses and called it a day.
BfN does not deserve the title of GW3.
@@thundrr1929 You are entirely correct. I edited to fix that.
@@thundrr1929 thankfully it never will
I liked how they added the little blurbs under their names when they appear in bfn, especially disco zombie’s.
All three of these games are great, and I absolutely adore the boss spawn animations.
😍
Big Stump: "Blooming up to beat you DOWN!"
Captain Smasher: "Yo ho ho and a bottle of BOOM!"
I may be biased because I played it more than the others, but all the bosses in Garden Warfare 1 are the best in my opinion. They look a lot more professional, are actual full fledged cutscenes that really give you a sense of what the enemy can do, rather than just introducing the boss, and they give you some substance to what would just be another brainless zombie. And besides, I have very fond memories of my little brother and I on our PS4's Split Screen mode and kicking some Baron Von BEHIND!
Everyone can agree Yeti in GW2 was such a pain and you’d hoped you never get his Super Boss Wave.
I got 2 super Yeti Wave 💀
Fr, as if BFN was also hard enough 💀
@@ThePVZBrothers he got MUCH needed nerfs in BFN. probably took some of the annoying juices out of yeti, doubled it, and injected it into bitter dill. yeah BFN toned down yeti, but bitter dill soaked it up and more.
Bfn Elite Yeti is so fudging hard, even if you’re a pro.
The yeti is one of the most difficult and hardest boss to defeat
The best is PVZGW1 for sure.
You can see that later games wanted to decrease the animation time to reduce the players wait, but unfortunately this decrease also diminished the personality of the zombies and the fun of the animations
Cómo se nota el cariño que le pusieron al glorioso GW1
Y si

They really made the Yeti look more scarier in BFN 😳
the gargantuar petting his little imp son in gw 1 is adorable and wholesome as heck
Bruh you know bfn messed up when big stump ain't even in there 😩
Good
Although gw1 is the first game, I think it’s boss showcases are much better than the other two.
Man, i miss the gw 1 and 2 graphics, it made it feel more mature
Pvz garden warfare es una joya
Intro Animations: GW1 > GW2 > BFN
GW1 has the best intros for each boss while Garden Warfare 2 made the intros a bit shorter
In conclusion: The boss animations are recycled from GW2 (So is the music)
A classic case of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Gw1 looks like they put the most effort in and the rest the were like let's make them stand in a awkward way
I will say one thing.
The bosses back in GW1 knew how to make an entrance.
GW2 animations were just ported in BFN. amazing
2:35 GW2 having spooky squash too
You are right
I like all, but: 1.-BFN 2.-GW2, 3.-GW, and you?
@@atmosferko broo how. For me it gors the opposite. Pvz gw1 gw 2 and bfn
@@vanish7542 same, GW is the best imo, there’s a reason I’m rank 100 🤣

POV: your boss brings his kid to work
Garden warfare 1
I like how garden warfare bosses express them selfs more
Gw1's animations used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger knowing that the boss was fast approaching
GW1 seemed smoother in both animations and graphics, despite Disco zombie having the same animation in all three games.
Gw1 felt more nice.
Gw1 easily the best one
Honestly. GW 1 has the animation show more emotion and detail towards the characters. GW 2 is straightforward and gets the job done, and Battle for Neighborhood just has a meh model with some extra animations.
Just as a wise Swedish man once said "it is evolving just backwards"
Yay I’m in the video! :D
Every cutscene from gw1 shows every ability the boss have
I like how gw1 express them more an have more time at the cutscenes litterally the gw2 and gw3 ones dont have least than 10 seconds
I got the garden warfare 1 & 2 games on PC, Garden Warfare 2 on PS5 and Plants vs Zombies Battle For Neighborville on Nintendo Switch ^^
Super, another bosses comparison. I love it!
Gargantuar in GW 1: pets his little buddy imp
Gargantuar in PvZ 1: Yeet
the fact that gargantuar actually treats the imp like his own son
gw1 was basically popcap saying “what if we made pvz a 3rd person shooter” and gw2 is basically gw1
GW1 Baron Von Bats gives me PTSD flashbacks. And I’ll always *H A T E* super bean
I playing pvz gw 1 in ps3!I have 60 lvl because we bought ps3 in august 2021 and also i small played gw2,but i didn't know how to play. Now,i just play gw
Me encanta cuando se toma su refresquito el zombie yeti
All parts are great, but I like the first one better
siento que en el gw1 le echaron mas ganas al juego
It’s weird that disco zombie and gargantuar are the only bosses in bfn that doesn’t reuse animations from gw2 disco zombies animations are more similar to gw1 but still has less personality to it
when the Yeti sticks his head out in the first pvz gw it reminds me of the meme *Bon jour* xD
2:39pumkin squash in gw2
It's neat to see how some bosses either got an upgrade to their design or downgrade. It can also be applied to their introductions.
The gw1 it's more epic
I imagine the reason they didn't go with anims on gw2 is they have not only the Zombie bosses, but the Plant bosses, Boss Hunt bosses, and Community Boss Hunt bosses.
7 Zombie Bosses, 4 Plant Bosses, 2 Boss Hunt Bosses, and 4 Community Boss Hunt Bosses.
Not only that, but there's also the Gnomes, which have like, 4 bosses in the Floaties, Kings, the 4 Guardians, and the Rainbow Guardian.
Total of 21 bosses.
I think it was just to shorten it. Some people probably didn't like the 30 second cutscenes for the bosses, so they just trimmed it a bit. Little unfortunate because they has so much more to show in the first game.
@@mr.sparks5623 it would have been good if you had the option to skip it, that way we could have our long time animation without people disliking the 30 secons animation
@@dashret410 yeah I can see that.
Yeti in GW1:
>shows off 2 of his attacks
>gets a drink cuz he's _cool_ (btw, Disco Stu supremacy)
Yeti in other shooters:
>"Roar!"
GW1 was the reason why I see gargantuars as dads and Imps as kids. The gargantuar petting his son before rippin his telephone pole out of the ground is the most wholesome thing.
Only to use him as a bomb after 12 seconds 🗿
in my point of view
this is how i feel about the cutscenes
In GW1 the cutscenes feel like
Youre first meeting this menace Youre so terrified Youre so Intimidated by them
it truly is a boss
GW2 cutscene feels more like
Round 2 i see?
LETS DO THIS
and BFN is just a disgrace to the past two
GW is classic, GW2 is the best one, but the BFNV is toy room.
Pvz3 is a kind of toy, pvz 2 is quite normal, but PVZ1 is beautiful, its animation when it comes out of the ground is beautiful 🌝
0:34
*everyone calling him baron von vats*
Me: zombie bodai :v
I watched Zach Scott play gw1 a couple of years ago so I I mostly used to gw1
0:58 Disco zombie: obibabobibiba!
Is it just me that thinks it's ironic that the giga torchs design stayed the *exact* same during gw2 and bfn
GW1 Is the best no question. But in-between GW2 and BFN i gotta say its sad how BFN just retextured all of the GW2 animations. In my opinions they looked better in GW2 anyways... except the royal sunflower maybe it is the only one I would give to BFN.
Also *BOOGIE YOUR BRAINS RIGHT OVER HERE*
While GW1 animations look great, I can understand, why they're shorter and blander in GW2.
I mean, holy fertilizer, that Baron von Bats animation didn't have to go THAT long.
Sad they have to remove the giga gargantuar in pvz bfn because the gargantuar pole can now shoot lighting in bfn
Noone:
GW1's Baron von Bats:
Boo, muahah!
funny how bfn literally used so many gw2 animations
for me, gw1 probably has the best animation.
I have been playing these 3 parts for several years and I like it the most of which GW1
You know the Super Bean looks like a larva
😁
That's exactly what i was thinking. It's kinda hard to unsee it afterwards tho
I like how Micheal Jackson dances when he is coming back to life in the new one
Rating Zombie Imitations By Their Cutscenes In GW1:
Gargantuar: 0/10 not even scary, when he pets the imp ITS FUCKING CUTE, I love it, matches the goofiness of pvz.
Giga Gargantuar: 0/10 still wholesome, I love it how the imp is rocking hard to music while his big boi raises up.
Yeti: 10/10, this dude fucking makes me piss my pants.
Baron Von Bats: 2/10, he spawned his own fans, I'm not sure if that was a great idea or he planned that shit, but he kinda scares me.
Disco Zombie: 5/10, what scares me is that he's strong enough to break through fucking CONCRETE?! But he do be dancin, ngl, I like how he summoned back up dancers to help him with this dance battle.
It’s funny how the bfn gargantuar is gargantuar brothers but the brother just quietly fades out existence
Sinceramente en el GW 1 se ve más épico
Disco zombie comparison in a nutshell:
YEAYA A-A-YEAyA-AH!
A-A-AH! YEAHY A-A-A-YAYA-A-AH!
oh and also
BOOGAYYY
I liked the cutscenes in gw1 especially when I was little I felt like the boss was coming from a whole other side of the world I made it more scary imo
GW1 : More personality and better animations
GW2 : Better models
BFN : I would rather oof
God GW1 made imp so adorable instead of those annoying guys Gargs would yeet all the time
GW2 is my favourite PVZ game no doubt
I love how vampire zombie just spawns in emo zombies
Then just assaults them lmao
Its like evolving but backwards
Bosses in pvz gw1 > gw2 < bfn.
Ok bfn is wayy worse than gw2 but it has some interesting bosses u cant cap
Ovio que ka mejor animacion es pvz garden warfare 1 es mucho mejor
Gargantuar and imp is the best father son duo in any source of entertainment
GW1 had the best animation
Yes
Bugs me how Giga Gigantaur went from looking like a menace to looking like some sort of hipster
Out of all of them i love the gargantuar intro if gw1 the most
Gw1 blew gw2 and bfn out of the water with these cutscenes
bruv BfN just stole GW2 homework
It’s evolving just backwards
I think the reason why the boss animations are shorter and have less personality in Gw2 and BFN is because Boss rounds are way more common in Gw2 and BFN, in Gw1 they feel special, as for why they don’t feel as personal it’s probably because A) their cutscene isn’t in a unique location and B) Their animations are shorter so you can get to the action faster.
Like let’s be real the Yeti animation takes up quite a bit of time, idk why he does the icicle rain attack in the cutscene, but at least he drinks the shake?!
GW1 is the best!
1: the best
2: mid
Bfn: the most badass
I still love BFN’s Disco Zombie spawn animation
You get to pick two bosses for a plant team and a zombie team which ones are you picking?
I'm getting sunflower Queen and Baron von bats
Whait, Pumpkin Squash is in gw2, I saw him!
Las animaciones del Garden Warfare 1 superan por mucho los gráficos de las otras entregas
