Coveted Magazine has interviewed Kenzo Takada early this year at Maison et Objet in Paris. A fashion icon starting his new path in lifestyle this year. Unfornetly this global pandemic is having an unnoticed impact on all lives. Our prayers and thoughts go to Kenzo’s family, friends, and team. An Icon lives forever.
The name "Kenzo" is written in two letters in Japanese. The letter (rather than digit) "3" is the second letter of his name "賢三", as you can see as three lines as well. So unlike described in the video, 3 is not Enzo, but "zo". For example, my name is written as "健三" and you can see the three lines in here as well. The reason behind the numbering in the name indeed is to indicate which (male) child of his parents he was born as. K3 is really original as brand name idea. It's actually purely his name. How did I miss it for myself.. 🥲 Have a wonderful day!
The brand was "Jungle Jap" not "Jungle Jack". He scrapped it after someone in American retail thought it racist (funnily it was the Americans who used the epithet in WWII) - they didn't get that he was being ironic and trying to own the term.
Yes, but he quitted smoking long ago, exercised daily, enjoyed therapeutic massages, and ate healthy premium food. Also, he might have undergone some cosmetic procedures. On this video also displayed dental work.

Thanks for the explanation - it makes sense now.

Which is by the way not the lady's fault. Our language is complicated enough for Europeans.
Rest in Peace, mr Takada
Rest in peace.
I think 'Kintsugi' is correct... and it seems his former brand name is incorrect...it's a pity because I'm very proud of him as Japanese.
Paix à votre âme 🙏
Je porte Flower depuis longtemps maintenant :)
super bone journéé
Wow and this guy was 81 ... 🤯

RIP😢
Oh nooooo, I wanted to hear Kenzo, not the translating lady speaking for him!

@@ClaudiauzRW his French was probably good, but could he also speak Japanese?
There are zillions of videos of him speaking so enough complaining. Due to dyslexia he actually didn't enjoy too much being interviewed.
For those who do not speak French, the translation (not the best) probably is helpful.
this man was 81?!
RIP

@@user-ut8gh7ww9y No, He did not have cosmetic procedures done. East Asians age well in general.
RIP :(
This with the sound and voice-over is so irritating..and humiliating for a poor man
I would not use the term poor to describe this gentleman.
