- James Harman with the 44's band and Kid Ramos at the benefit concert for Brenda Busuttil (Johnny Main's Mother). It was a great night of music at Nick's Taste of Texas 4/20/12
Spent so many great nights listening to James and the band in San Diego..damn it was fun..R.I.P. Brother you brought us joy
Rip James!!! “Thank you baby!!”
All those guys are bringin’ in the Thunder….
James' falsetto at 1:40... he was 66 years old at this point (soon to be 73, BTW), and he still had it going on (still does)! And props on that Johnny Main guitar solo -- righteous! And props to the crowd for expressing appreciation.
Holy shit....Johnny is a bad dude. I'm a fan now for sure.
What an ensemble. Some real-deal Blues right in the pocket all night long.
Johnny Main! Now that is the way to develop a solo! We could all learn a lot from that ride. Damn!!!
Blues is just like that. You are just one of kind.
Don't get no better than this!
I miss the Kid Ramos days. J.H. still sounds great but the Kid gave the songs so much soul and life.
I miss seeing Harman.....damn drag.so many great nights at the Belly Up in the olden days.....with Fats and the rest...........we 've lost so many of the great ones
tommy harkenrider Solo was so tasty and very deep in the blues root. thank you for uploading this
I'm soooo glad I was at this show 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗LOVE YOU SO MUCH JAMES and the boys
Thats a bluesy band. Glad I get to listen as I'm working at my computer. Love technology And the Blues. JOHNNY MAIN!!!
Love that West Coast stuff!
Fucking great solo by Johnny.
I've seen James Harman several times, and he never disappoints! I'm digging the t-shirt he's wearing, 'cause I live in Powell River and was at that Festival.
The best voice in the blues for real
The greatest harp player I ever saw and I saw most of the greats.. better than Lester Butler who touted James as inspiration ..James bridged the gap for aspiring harpists..James brought out the best and that is all u hope for playing music.. very underappreciated and the most underrated blues man ever
The Ice Pick has put on a lot of lard but he's still blowing strong! The man's got power!
I used to party with these guys in the early 80's. So sad to see a lot of the old hang outs; Pierce Street Annex, Laguna White House etc all permanently closed now. We had SO much fun dancing in full sweat to James, Kid Ramos and Hollywood Fats, then partying and breakfast til dawn.
3 killer solos there. HOLLY CRAP!!! All tasty and to the point.
RIP James
Kid Ramos!
Real awesome my compliments.
Awesome stuff.
we love the 44s kid harman
This made my day
thanks !!!! mr Chase!!
Loves These Blues Baby!!!
this is great i love it
Fantastic jam.
Yeah I really miss those Orange County daze man, an Lynwood slim in HB, we are prayin for ya Kid.
Real Blues played the right way! BLUES POWER!!!
I agree with Rudy, the Harkenrider solo is too cool for school. Tommy hangs back playing the boring second-guitar shuffle and then pops to life with such a tasty and understated statement when he gets the nod. The Memphis Kings (Tommy's band) is *always* worth a watch.
I miss those 'days 'also, "I used to try and 'go to all the places 'where 'Kid 'Ramos 'was playing, "in cluding with 'the "Fabulous 'Thunderbirds, I Don't Know how many times 'we 'saw him play... Down at 'THE Blue Cafe in Long beach..> Wow those 'were the days, 'GOD Bless your Kid 'and your 'family also. Lillian 'Stock '( Stock in those days.,)
LOOK OUT JOHNNY, LOOK OUT JOHNNY!!
huge fan of every single dude up there but Johnny Main fucking MUR-FUCKING-DERed that shit, man.
Cool
Yeah! That's the blues
God bless the internet!
SUAVE AS SILK!
Love is inn da HOUS
Carlos O'Briens in Riverside !
if this video was a record it'd be worn out from all the times i played it
& GooD Ol SaintAA IT AIN'T ZO BIG JOH
Dayam!
James F**kin Harman
Icepick James was as bad a cat that ever blowed a harp and sang the blues-he looked white, but he felt black!
