The concept of the song moves my heart. Like put aside the fact that she’s a vampire, the like “we’ll never grow old together, ‘cause you’ll never grow old to me” signifies that her love is still young no matter how long they’re together. It really makes me tear up and hope my love never grows old.
Of course, they have to die somehow eventually, which is a bit of shame.

bruh, I was there when adventure time first came out but I wasn't able to watch bc I didn't have any cable.
But this year I was able to watch the whole show and let me tell you I FELT THIS SONG. I know I wasn't there when everyone was excited about it and I didn't have to wait a week for each episode but it's kinda rude to just throw everyone under the bus when we weren't able to even watch the show.

Words cant describe how beautiful this song is and the fact that marceline gets to sing it about Bonnie in obsidian makes it 1000x sweeter
When I first started watching Adventure Time I was in denial about my own sexuality and seeing Marceline and Bonnie's relationship blossom and develop really helped me explore my identity, and now, finally being at peace with myself, listening to this song brings me this joy that is hard to describe

I love that this version can exist without any context. Like Adventure Time songs are great but they are super specific to the story. This one can honestly be applied to anything. Like the “I always felt like a monster long before I was bit” was meant to refer to Marceline becoming a vampire, but it can honestly be a metaphor for anyone suffering through a mental illness or a rough period in their life

Adventure Time first aired, I wasn’t there. We didn’t have cable so I would ask my classmates to tell me about the episodes. The first time I heard about Marceline and heard her song was when a classmate invited me over to watch Adventure Time and I instantly fell in love with her character. Watching her get that sweet character development was gold. I watched adventure time when I was around 12 years old. Six years later I’m still here raving for my undead queen of music. I felt a special connection with her I didn’t know existed as a kid. So now I’m 18, still genderly confused, but happy af.
This seems to be the year for show movies, BMO, candace against the universe, sponge on the run, the clone wars 4 part finale siege of mandalore, the we bare bears movie, and now obsidian, also this song is greaaattttttt can't wait to hear Olivia sing it.
Next year we get The Loud House Movie I think.

You know i saw the trailer for obsidian and it immediately rekindled my love for adventure time which at the time I hadn’t watched in 4 years and I just wanted to say thanks for bringing back joy in these dark times and may adventure time be remembered for years to come.
