I do love it up there but simply do not agree with the smoothing of trails they are doing on the island. I’m sure I’ll eventually go again at some point but doubt we will make the yearly trip up there.
The Upper is a great place to Jeep ride that's for sure and Drummond is a great destination. We need to continue to promote Jeeps and the Jeep family life style. Thanks for all the great videos.
That whole Michigan area looks like a place I need to visit. I grew up in MT, so am quite comfortable being in places where I'm the only human for several miles and no grid to bother me. I understand it's an island but but I bet you can get out all alone if you try.
Oh you definitely can! It’s not uncommon to go out trail riding and not see another soul all day. With that said, Holiday weekends can get busy. It’s a beautiful area.
They are totally different now then when we came on our first visit in 2015. Definitely more difficult in spots with some areas actually getting easier.
Great video. I have enjoyed all your videos on Drummond. One question since I am new to off roading, when I was on Drummond the side by sides flew by me what is it about their construction that allows them to do that?
They’re lightweight and the suspension setup on those things are insane. They’re made to go fast. I feel like this was my best Drummond video personally.
We go at different times in the year in previous years. Spring is always wet with deep water. Summer if dries out. My favorite time to be up there is October with the color change.
Absolutely! There are a few campgrounds on the island but if you prefer to rustic camp, there are a lot of options. This time of the year you may want a diesel heater and watch out for snowmobiles.
Great video as always. Now I'm not a Michiganian so not sure how much weight my opinion holds. I have visited numerous times and now that my oldest son moved to Traverse City I tend to find myself in Michigan more often than before. Actually headed to Holly Oaks this Saturday if interested. However I've not been to Drummond but your closing comment on Drummond being the best wheeling in Michigan....man Drummond must really be something then cause I didn't think it got any better than Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Obviously that's different riding less technical but that's one of my favorites in general let alone Michigan besides Windrock in TN.
Different strokes for different folks! I love Windrock as well but honestly not a huge fan of Silver Lake. I like the go slow, pick your line and crawl up stuff type trails. I work in a local ER and see way to many accidents come from Silver Lake. Sure, I’ll go once every other year for a couple of hours but it’s honestly low on my list.
@@TrailExpedition I can get that I guess maybe if I was that close and could frequent it more often it would fall lower on my list, but since I'm from Kentucky, I don't have the opportunity as often but when I did, it was a blast. seen that recently at lady got killed up there unfortunately near that track area
Finally someone made a good video of Drummond Island. We have been wheeling Drummond Island for 20 plus years.
Thank you I appreciate that. We’ve been going for ten and the videos from the early years were rough. They’ve gotten better since then 😆
Don't stop going to Drummond! 🍂🇺🇸👍🏼

@gregoryjulian1333 agreed! It’s my favorite family hobby! Definitely makes for great memories! Thanks for watching!
It's one of my favorite places in Michigan, hands down. Beautifully rugged! Great stuff as always, thanks!
Couldn’t agree with you more! Such a beautiful place. Thanks for being a long time subscriber!
Always love watching the videos you put out for sure keep up the good work man
I appreciate that! Thanks for the support!

I was just on the island earlier this year for the first time in a while and we all also thought the trails were way rougher then we remembered
They are totally different now then when we came on our first visit in 2015. Definitely more difficult in spots with some areas actually getting easier.
Thanks!
No problem!
I will live there someday... Looks like you guys were up there at the same time we were when the wind throught it was fall
It was very windy the first day we were there but eventually died down. I would love to have a little cabin up there someday!
Should check out the Canadian side, St Joseph island just north west and manitoulin island to the east
Any good offroad trails on those islands? How do you get there?
Wonderful video! Checked your Amazon store and couldn't find the mirrors. Could you please share? Thanks
Thank you so much! And Boost doesn’t sell the mirrors on Amazon just through their site. I have it linked in the video comments.

We were there in early June and there was no where near as much mud.

So, this is a good place for a couple nights of camping and exploring in a stock Jeep?

Hi Corey!
It’s been a hot minute since he’s been on a trail ride with me.
@@TrailExpedition Right! Good to see you guys were able to do the Drummond trip together again. It’s a cool tradition.
@surgicalinstrumentsexplained agreed! Honestly may start doing every other year. It doesn’t change much from one year to another.
