I was born in 2003 and when I was in preschool, I loved butterfly clips. Then in first grade, I would wear a scrunchie with a bun. And I used to also put ribbons in my hair. The ribbons still look cute if you are doing a think pink volleyball game too.
Scrunchies are the best because they aren't too tight they don't get tangled in your hair and you don't get that dent in your hair from a hair tie but they're not cute😂
Id shower at night, put like multiple braids in my hair ( while wet) leave overnight, then in the morning undo the braids, and my hair will be crimped!
For some one who was a teenager in the 90's..... I know for a fact that they got most of it wrong, first of all no on e dipped dyed their hair until early 2000's and the banana clip and the crumpets were more of an 80's thing. You forgot center parting, diamond slides, the Rachel from friends layered look, half up half down, a quiffe, sun in and hats from that T. V show blossom, they were spot on with the butterfly clips and the bobs tho.
a kid at my school has a mullet. My jaw dropped the first time he past me & a teacher just gave me a sad smile and shook her head behind his back. He was for real and I've seen a few others with it. It needs to die. Now. Fast.
I have bangs, and I feel like they totally suit my personality. Actually, now I am studying abroad for a semester, and one of my friends back home cut bangs and people are telling her that she's trying to look like me, and that bangs are my thing. (which I don't neccesarily support) but it's kind of funny to hear how they consider bangs my 'thing' :)
All the hair accessories - totally 90s. So totally on point there. I was in high school during the 90s and this video didn't even touch on some of the horrendous things people did to their hair. And as far as bangs go - the bangs shown here are not 90s bangs. 90s bangs were like 80s bangs, just toned down a little bit. The worst was "the wave" of bang but then with the layer of straight bangs underneath. There was also "The Rachel" which I attempted numerous times and looked great on most people, but my hair was wavy and it just never worked. There was also the mushroom cut, which was a bowl cut, mullet combo thing. There was the cut with the jagged edges which I'm sure has a name. There were the girls who'd basically do sculptures on their heads. Oh! And the pigtail spiky buns that I think originated from a Spice Girl or Gwen Stefani. So many more they could have shown in this video. But the accessories were definitely spot on.
Kristen Miner The store I work in sells those...Many kinds of it. I always recommend them to people who want to keep all their hair out of their face xD
I wasn't allowed to have a crimper ( no heat damage policy ) so I would braid my hair into about 20 - 30 braids, at night after I washed it. Come the morning BOOM my hair was crimped and I was ready for my class picture !😂😂😂😂😂
I totally did the late 90s/early 20s messy Mary-Kate and Ashley updo's... do you know which ones Im talking about? From their "Two of a Kind" days, with patterned capris and the chunky platform sandals. awww I loved those days.
when i was a kid i had bangs and i didnt want them, and my mom and sister didnt have bangs, and i thought that they just cut them off. so i snuck kitchen sicciors into the bathroom and chop my bags off😥
My county did this huge camp event for all the schools within the area and my 5th grade class went to this 2 week summer camp thing where at the end the camp counselor for my cabin gave me this enormous pack of those butterfly clips and did all the girls hair for my cabin and we all went to the end of camp dance night wearing 5lbs of butterfly clips.
they forgot the butterfly clip's larger counterpart, the alligator clip. I always kept my hair long so these big toothed clips were the best for it. but it didn't matter which one I used, they all slipped though my fingers as I'm putting it in my hair and fly across the room when I'd open them, sometimes ending up under my dresser or the other side of the room. however I still get them and use them. do they still count as a throwback?

You guys should do a video discussing what current 2010's trend we will most likely regret in the future!
Skinny jeans will be there for sure
Ryland's shirt with Hillary Duff is awesome 😂❤
"Available in every Spanish supermarket still."
One of the truest statements I've heard
Scrunchies are the best because they aren't too tight they don't get tangled in your hair and you don't get that dent in your hair from a hair tie but they're not cute😂

I currently have a lob with straight across bangs and I have a scrunchie in my 24/7. Very offended they said they're ugly lol
Wow Sinead is SO PRETTY! Ugh, jealous.
I love that Lily is the thumbnail!
My favorite hair trends are bumpits, the claw headband things, banana clips, and those pull through braids
That bowl cut was MY signature hairstyle. I was a superstar back then!
dip dye was a hit three years back and tbh, I'm not over it yet

*that joke was pretty* *_clever_*
used to wear almost everything! love the scrunchies!
"Those would had gotten you shot where I come from" Lmaooo
The fact that Ryland didn't understand what a banana clip was until Lily told him it "was like a vagina with teeth" had me dying
Best quote: that would have got you shot where I came from
Faux hawk during my teens. I rocked that rocker look
I just think 90ies were the best ! Bangs and barrettes and everything. For me
They will never go out of fashion !
Ribbons and bows NEVER went out of style!!! I have wore them since I was born!!!
Reese Danczak jojo from dance moms wears bows everyday
a kid at my school has a mullet. My jaw dropped the first time he past me & a teacher just gave me a sad smile and shook her head behind his back. He was for real and I've seen a few others with it. It needs to die. Now. Fast.
I had scrunchies and they're really good for people with long thick hair, it keeps your hair in place better than hair bobbles/ hair ties.
Scrunches made a huge comeback
The headbands helped to grow out my bangs. I liked the metal ones but had twist the loops to lie flat. Those suckers hurt!
I rocked the butterfly clips for sure .
That picture that they put up of lily with her fringe legit looks like AJ Cook! Like I am not kidding you 😂 xxx
bangs have always been a trend in Asia lol

Where i come from dip dyes are REALLY a BIG hype.
Like alot of people in high school here do them.
Pastel colours are the best though.
Drew, Lilly and Ryland are amazing
I have a whole large plastic tub with ribbons, butterfly clips, and scrunchies from when I was little.
OMG I did the dipping with the Kool-Aid and I have bangs and butterflies clips broke so easily and they hurt
lol I've had a Mohawk before and I've also had a bob with bangs before as well might go back to the Bob when my hair grows back
Waiting for scrunchies to come back? They've never gone away, dude! You can buy them anywhere.
I am in 7th grade and I have Been warning bandanna around my hair like a pony tail since winter break
Tom totally understands my bangs and ponies 💕💋
I had cheerleading bows and ribbons and my bows all had my name on them, the year, and the team
Hah I’m rewatching this video and I’m wearing a scrunchie. They finally came back!
i love scrunchies. gosh, my friend makes some and i loooovvveeethem.

You can find all these things in any market in Mexico. They are great!
Also true I always used to get bangs after a breakup
I totally did the late 90s/early 20s messy Mary-Kate and Ashley updo's... do you know which ones Im talking about? From their "Two of a Kind" days, with patterned capris and the chunky platform sandals. awww I loved those days.
Spikes, frosted tips was the shizzle back in the day

When I was a toddler I had the freaking bob, growing out my hair is a choice I will never regret
ive always been in love with boys that had dark long shaggy curly hair
Oh man I remember the dip dyes and people still do them.
when i was a kid i had bangs and i didnt want them, and my mom and sister didnt have bangs, and i thought that they just cut them off. so i snuck kitchen sicciors into the bathroom and chop my bags off😥
