Well handled. Had this happen to me in a 172 but was able to shut it on climb out.
A lot scarier in a 152 😳. Especially mid flight if you are leading on it!! 🥵
at least you can't see the controller rolling her eyes! LOL! well done though as you handled yourself very professionally!

Happened to me in the past on a Tommy which is known to have doors latching issues...
Very well handled! At least you didn't lose you checklist out the door as I did on one occasion.
Saved my iPad. The checklist can be sacrificed 😂

Well handled. Happened to me once in the middle of winter, not fun. If you do hard left rudder it might be possible to close it in the air.
Too low and at a busy airport to try stuff like that... airport right there... so landing makes most sense... but thanks for the tip for when it does happen at Attitude

That has happened to me twice in 30 years of flying both in a Duchess (different ones) Those doors..

You would have thought a solution (second latch/ lock) would have been found after all these years....
