  • This video shows the route I use to gain lots of Lv.3 Gears in Bitterblack Isle (Post-Daimon). This nets you 10-12 gears and it takes around 20-30 minutes depending on your luck. Once done, head back to Gransys and sleep for around five days to replenish all the chests.
In this video, each of the ten chests I shoot and explode with Explosive Volley is a chest that has a decent chance of containing a Lv.3 Gear and is worth Godsbaning for (I didn't Godsbane in this video as it would make it even longer than it already is).
The two chests I shoot three times with standard Magick Arrows in The Warrior's Respite have a noticeably lower chance at containing Lv.3 Gears than the rest. These are usually not worth extensively Godsbaning but are at least worth checking a couple of times when you're in the area.
Additionally, the cut at 2:54 is a short edit made to remove me shooting a chest which has near-zero drop rate for Lv.3 Gears. I cut this part out to prevent people wasting time Godsbaning this chest as you can easily Godsbane this chest for hours without getting a single Gear.
Finally, there are three chests not included in this video that can contain Lv.3 Gears. The reason they're not included is because they're not only quite far out of the way of this route but their chance to give the Lv.3 Gears is lower than most of the chests shown here (around the same drop rate as the two in The Warrior's Respite). However, if you still wish to farm them, their locations are described below:
In the Tower of Treasons Repaid, at the base of the tower, there is a chest at the northern end near a metal grating which can rarely contain a Lv.3 Gear.
Also in the Tower of Treasons Repaid, in the area with the poisonous river, there are two chests on the bottom level. As you're facing the bottomless pit at the end, the chest that rarely contains a Lv.3 Gear is the one on the right side of the river.
In the Forsaken Cathedral, in the room after the spiral staircase near the beginning, there are two side by side chests in a dead end near a corridor with some enemies. The chest on the right can rarely contain a Lv.3 Gear.
Additional Note: In case you don't know, "Godsbaning" refers to the act of using the Godsbane (the special blade given to you after defeating The Dragon in the main story) to kill yourself to quickly reload the game. If you save before opening a chest (or after opening it but before looting it) and then use the Godsbane, when you reload the chest will be closed and the loot will be randomised once again when you open it. Doing this allows you to open the same chest multiple times until you get what you want.
In case you don't have a Godsbane (or don't have anyone to gift you one), you can achieve the same result by quitting the game without saving and reloading the save you just made. This way is much slower, but can be used to reload the game just the same.
