I prefer wearing my wig units with no baby hair and ( body wave and bone straight virgin indian hair is my favorite) a natural hairline . I don't bleach the knots because I'm semi clumsy I leave it to the company to do this HD lace wigs are a gift from heaven.
Oh yes! I prefer no baby hair as well, I love HD lace, I just wish it weren’t so fragile lol
Baby hairs are so tacky to me…..I will never understand why black women prefer to look tacky with baby hairs and 5 inch eyelashes

Thank you for your demonstration. I'm new to wearing wigs and appreciate your thoroughness. Well, to me you are thorough. 🙂 I have a suggestion for pinking shears. Fiskars (a company known for higher quality products) has small ones that are typically used for crafting/scrapbooking. I love them. They're approximately 5" long with 3" sharp zig-zag blades.

It’s really either or for me, whatever is near me, I’ll use.
Hey, I've been trying to learn wigs, and in every video I've seen after people stick down the lace they always put a headband over it while it dries. I'm wondering, is there anything special about those headbands? what are they made of? can make one myself?
The band helps to “melt” the lace right into the spray, gel or adhesive leaving you with a flawless hairline. When people say “melting” in reference to their wig’s lace, they aren't referring to the same kind of melting that often requires a flame or high heat. It simply means that the visible lace is saturated with some kind of product and dried in such a way that it “melts” into your hairline and become nearly invisible. It is made of ultra-fine polyester fiber and high elastic latex, so it is super soft and stretchy to use. You can purchase one or make them yourself. I hope this helps!
I’m new to wearing wigs can you tell me is that water that you are spraying on your wig. I’m asking because I have a wig that is similar.

Yes I do
How long does the glue down typically last? And any advice on over night tie downs to keep everything in place?
It’s recommended for daily wear. For overnight, maintenance is simple! Use a satin scarf or satin lined durag lol trust me it works!
@@DolceMateo Also, would you recommend using your gel as well as the hold spray or one or the other? My wig is perfect and then i go to sleep and wake up and im like damnit lace! lol
@@SwanLyfe using both the gel and spray creates a longer hold for sure! One or the other is suggested for daily wear to take off at night. I hope that helps!

I knkw im a bit late,however im having a struggle with finding my foundation shade to blend in at my hairline to make the lace look melted and disappear.i trying using liquid foundation and its giving me a white cast across my forehead, i try using Iman clay 5 foundation and its too orange,i try mixing the darker shade with the lighter shade and its still not melted smh..its so frustrating..can you please tell me what to do and what im doing wrongly
It could be the lace itself. Have you tried lace tint? I’ve tried the trumatch line and it’s worked well.

I have to blend mine and see i do not wear make up on my skin. I only do my brows and eyes. So it may be harder for me to find something.
Try tinting the lace with fabric dye or lace tint.
I’m having a hard time with the makeup undertones I feel I go darker but the makeup looks orange
If your undertone is cooler or neutral, try to go darker in a cooler or neutral tone. Ruby kisses works for me with transparent lace, but with other lace such as HD, it does get a bit orange. I still play around with different techniques for different laces.

The scissors pattern help create an illusion to the eye versus a straight line.
This video is sooo nice and informative however my lace is cut like yours, but after a few wears the lace began to curl upward, and will no longer lay flat on my head. How can I fix!?😢😢😢

What if I cut the lace as straight as possible before looking up tutorials.
If you still have lace attached to the wig you can still use this method with the scissors
Cutting the lace straight will make the lace look weird and noticeable

For a white girl thats the palest skin color would i still have to use a foundation shade 1 shade darker than my usual super white??
I highly recommend that you purchase a wig that has transparent or HD lace. Do not have your knots bleached, simply use your shade of powder or foundation underneath the lace, cut your lace to where the hairline of the wig begins and use a holding hair spray from Tresemme or Bedhead to keep your lace down.
