You look at the text "men laying with men" very black and white, while likely looking at "put a child to death" (Lev 20:9) with more nuance based on the ancient Jewish culture. You even did this to the issue of mixed fabrics, saying that further study of Jewish writers indicate that law refers to wearing garments of the priestly mixture. I would encourage more consideration on this topic because unless you are putting your rebellious children to death as well as enacting the death penalty as dictated by several other laws, I would assert you are not as consistent following the law of Moshe as you claim.
I do not say this with any animosity, as you seem like a very genuine, welcoming person that honestly wants to please God, and I very much appreciate your calm, earnest tone throughout this video

Have you done an in-depth presentation of the fa r that Jesus is and said he was the prophet like Moses?
Do you believe the NT specifically condemns homosexuality?

I appreciate the kind word and encouragement.
      1) I haven’t, but I believe Yeshua was understood by Apostle Peter to be a prophet like Moshe if you look at his sermon in Acts 3 where he directly quotes Deuteronomy 18. (I do believe Yehoshua son of Nun was the immediate fulfillment back in that time period.)
      2) Yes, I believe Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6 both echo Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13.

Leviticus simply doesn't apply.. The first few verses of each chapter of Leviticus define who the rest of the chapter applies to:
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
Notice it says: "Speak unto the children of Israel." The Jews. Not the Egyptians, the Africans, the Arabs, the Europeans, ... Just the Jews.

The problem with keeping the law is that it’s not required of Christians. This is Paul’s entire message. He even talks about why he broke with Peter because he thought (initially) the Gentile Christians needed to keep dietary laws. Paul even condemns Peter for not eating with the Gentiles because of this. This is why I have tons of tattoos.

Yes the Law was placed in stone at Sinai, but all are descendants of Noah. He passed instructions to his sons and their sons. Sinai was a "renewal" of the Covenant with YHWH, for people had forgotten His ways. Our Creator did not wipe out people with the flood because they did not know the expected behavior. This is what the misgivings of Judaism has brought people to believe. So many think He was an evil entity. He did not place man here without giving instructions to blindly go and violate by chance. That would be sadistic. Canaan and his descendants were squatters and moral violaters of His instructed behavior, so of course they got vomited out of that territory. YHWH was bringing back ones He intended to be there. Later they too were vomited out for forsaking His behavior.

      2) When Cain was disgruntled with his brother YHWH said "sin" was at his door. (Sin is transgression of the Law)
3)Noah was given 120 years to preach repentance prior to the Flood. Ask yourself how would they know about repentance if they had no laws/rules/instructions?

Thank you sir for your gentleness. However, I totally agree with all that Dr Siker has stated. He reminds us that when reading and deciphering archaic writing, we have to be cognizant of the social context, the milleu, and history embedded within these cultures, and I also add-we need to look at the syntax, grammar, and how ancient cultures interpreted, formed, and spread information. If in translation we add one unnecessary preposition or an adverb, it changes the entire interpretation. Whoever wrote these regulations had a specific reason for doing so. (And I doubt it very much that God inspired men to scribe much of this stupidity. Really?) Are you familiar with ancient Hebrew? Do you know that scribes made grammatical errors, or that they added extra biased words when copying the bible? This particular verse has nothing to do with a consensual loving relationship between two men. (And I don't see women listed in this particular equation. Are they exempt?) The verse has more to do with rape--for example, a father raping his son, a brother raping his brother or the rape and pillage of your male enemies during acts of war--which happened then and still happens today. And it also happens in prison in order to supplant superiority. Christians and non christians do pick and choose whatever deems convenient to their situation, while disregarding other commands that feel uncomfortable. The Torah also speaks of stoning your rebellious children to death. Would you really do that today? Or would you ignore that law? Does Deuteronomy 20 dictate the killing of children? How would you explain this to a child? The Old Testament speaks of God commanding the genocide of other enemies, their wives (after raping them), their children, their livestock, and the total destruction of their homes and graineries and fields. The Old Testament approves of slavery and the free surrender of your daughters to be raped at will. This begs the question--would you really follow every dictum the Old Testament commands of you? What if you needed a blood transfusion in order to live? What if your wife needed one? What if your neighbor's house were to collapse on the sabbath and she and her family were trapped beneath the rubble. Would you work on the sabbath and help them? Or would you pay a non-believer to dig them out?

    WELL WELL
The bible condemns homosexuality, the bible doesnt condemn homosexuality, or yes, or no?
Homosexuals exist since humans exsit, since 300,000 years.
Christianity ONLY exist since 2000 years (together with Judaism only 3000 years) and the bible since only 1700 years.
And ever since this "cristal clear" book caused the split up of hundreds of confessions and interpretations and even different religions.
Meanwhile we homosexuals will life our lives and observe, how you guys doing in your interpretations about if you accept us or not ;)
One day, as all cultures on this planet, Christianity and the Bible will disapopear.
Homosexuals then will still exist thousands of years after your ideology will be forgotten.
    Have a great time. :)

Homosexuality is not an agenda. It is a sexual orientation, no different from heterosexuality or bisexuality. Sexual orientation is present at birth. One is born that way.
As far as agendas are concerned, look at religion, which is essentially theology. Christianity has an agenda in the narrative of its theology. As a Christian, you are a valuable resource to the Church. You provide funding, and you provide a political voice. This is really the reason proselytizing is so integral to the Christian movement.
The Bible contains wisdom and it also contains junk. And the same applies to the Quran.
The wisdom writings of Laozi and the Buddha are examples of pure wisdom, meaning you will find no junk in them.
The Baghavad Gita is truly a treasure of wisdom, but it does have some junk, references to religious practices, but 99% of the Gita is pure wisdom.
The western wisdom writings are much more adulterate. This is why there is much hypocrisy within the Abrahamic religions, people leading a double life, because people take the junk for wisdom.

Nobody is born as a homosexual, but those that go on to identify as LGBT do have one common trait, a higher than average anxiety response to any given stimuli. When you add this anxiety to troubled family dynamics the result can be an LGBT child ( See the interview with Dr. Nicolosi on The Becket Cook show " What causes same sex attraction?") . Homosexuality is a form of "addictive, compulsive self-soothing behaviour" ( " Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth" by Dr. Jeffrey Satinover), and it serves the same function as drugs to the drug addict, alcohol to the alcoholic, food to the glutton and winning to the gambler. ALL addictions are automatically idolatrous. Does the old testament say anything about idolatry? Of course it does, the nation of Israel was vomited out of God's land because of idolatry. Did Jesus ever say anything about idolatry? Yeah He did, He said "I have not come to do away with the commandments but to fulfill them". What's the first commandment? "You shall have no other gods in MY place!".

Bart Ehrman is a well known atheist scholar, so he's coming at it from a neutral perspective. Dr. Siker is a Christian scholar who has a different perspective than you. But to just call him an apostate simply because he disagrees with you is not an argument (it's a No True Scotsman fallacy). You actually have to produce an argument for why your interpretation is superior to his, or why his argument logically fails. This guy studies scripture for a living! Its fine if you don't consider him to be a Christian, but that's not an argument.

*Well said brother. While I do agree that at least Bart is consistent, I do believe he is in no position to speak on the scriptures.*
Now that is not me anointing myself the sole authority, messiah יהושע is the authority, it’s that Bart is a ‘Historian’ not a ‘textual critic/scholar’. I have my own video planned on Bart, but Bart seems to have (maybe unknowingly) adapted to his Muslim and Atheist audiences. There is a taste for ‘Christian’s are crazy’ or ‘Christians are inconsistent’ content as of now and Bart serves this. Now funnily it’s not wrong, many modern Christians are inconsistent or don’t know their own text. However since Bart is not a textual critic he creates content based upon ‘modern Christian standards’ not what the text actually says. I am not trying to unfairly judge Bart, but since their is a market to it there is money involved. Atheist, pagans and some Muslims love this context and will patronise it, be that directly or indirectly(RUclips).

You do not seem to grasp that the New Testament departs sharply from the Old Testament in that the Old Testament supports a religion which is land bound and and tribal. Christianity does not fit into this. When Jesus says that the law and prophets still stand it requires an allegorical understanding of the Old Testament. The idea that one has to treat his beard in a specific way is just rediculous. It does nothing for manliness. No one in christianity has interpreted it as significant for centuaries now. Suddenly now you have discovered the truth about this. Also the rule about not having sex during menstruation and ad to that that the women is seen as unclean during that time is just as irrational. We know now what is going on during menstruation and we also know beard is just hair. It has no intrinsic moral importance. The trouble is that you want to force on people views devoloped by people who believe that the earth was flat and floating on water and that God and other heavely beings lived above us and periodically opened ports in heaven to let some water rain down etc. You can keep believe all that nonsense along with believing that it is adulterous to marry a divorced person etc or you can get realistic and base your beliefs on testable and tested theories. I prefer to be free to think for myself in stead of being led by ancient ideas insofar as these ideas go against commen sense and scientific principle. I belief you have a right to grow your beard and belief in some of what you belief. The problem is that you do not give others the same freedom. Most people advanced to a scientific view of the world today. And the world is better for it. You propose a world view more aligned with that of the Taliban than western civilization. Do we really want to go back to the times of the spanish inquisition, religious wars and brutal murder of people we see as adulterers etc? The basis of the craziness here is the acceptance of scriptures as a basis for finding truth. This locks us in to the ideas of sheep herders, people who constantly went to war to rob other tribes, to kill everyone including babies and take their land. These were barbaric times. At least now we know that that world view is fundamentally wrong and harmful on so many levels. I do appreciate the teachings of Jesus broadly but if any ideas go againt commen sense scientific priciples those have to go. Since the Leviticus view of homosexuals requires killing these people I must protest. If God comes down and explain to us that science is wrong I might reconsider. But you only have an old book and a strong conviction that you are right. So I do not think we can allow you to go kill someone merely because and old book says so. You are apparently living in a strange world in another time. Wake up people. Science gave us electricity, is keeping us full because of increased productivity, saves us from horrible illnesses and you seem to want to give that up for the musings of ancient men.
