I've known Cory for several years and the man is nothing but class. Whenever he's back home here in North Bay, we shoot the breeze while working out at Good Life. Glad to see this awesome musician doing so well. Cheers Cory!
Well responding to you got my fellow Cory fs ship. I just found him but I hate how fame changes people or those that they wanna be associated with. Nice to see a real guy. Even if it was 3 yrs ago lol
We don't know why the original link was removed so, if you shared the link before, share this one twice as much and we will get the views back up to where they belong... When it was removed it had just under 12,000 views ...just do it... :) lol This is real important if you would like to see this video on TV...YEA BABY !!!
Thats funny ur battle of the bands on fubar is the only band I listened and watched all the way through really enjoyed it I subscribed and shared and hope to hear more!
John Brown,,,,, yes it's rock edged, and yes it's different than most that's out there but, listen to the Country top 40 on radio and pay attention to how many songs have the phony hand clapping and pop inspired drum tracks.......that's what has to go !!!! And as far as "Paradise City", I've seen Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band do the full version of Enter Sandman by Metallica as well as Miranda Lambert do Tush by ZZ Top, so , to do a little GNR as you leave the stage is almost par for the course nowadays !!! Also, it's all about the show and, for my money, a Cory Marquardt show , even as an opener has been far greater entertainment than most of the headliners I have seen !!! Just a thought.......p.s.... and being from his hometown I've heard his version of "Look At Us" by Vince Gill and the kid really nails it !!!!
I must start by saying I have nothing against this young man for what follows. Pretty decent voice. All the confidence and bravado in the world. Rock star moves. Yes... You rock. But you don't country. A conflict of identity as evidenced by playing Guns And Roses song "Paradise City" at gigs and rock guitar production on the songs. Pop / rock arrangements on the songs and added to the CMT "New Country" heap (which most of has nothing to do with "Country") . New Country is actually a genre for M.O.R., and bland pop and soft rock. But country is quietly undergoing a resurgence after the beating it's taken by money hungry labels and execs for a number of years. It's all about to change soon and this wave will happily be swept away. Jump ship Cory and study and really absorb some "Country" music and it's history. If it speaks to you and you can be the quality of singer and performer it takes to translate it, you'll have a bright future. Your momma and aunty whoever and your pals and the people in the business who think there's a buck to be made cause you fit right in with what they think is hot and selling right now aren't likely to be honest with you. Besides. Take a look. Who are the superstars ? Not the ones who were or are jumping on the latest band wagon. They are originals true to their innermost selves which has made them stand out from and apart from the crowd. Good luck.
@@CoryMarksMusicyou know I don’t have a novel’s worth of advice but as a guy who grew up on Porter Waggoner and Dolly Parton all I can say is I fing love your music and think you shouldn’t listen to anyone but yourself. Do you Cory
