when you ride down long pices of hill you need to break using the gears. Otherwise your brakes overheat and you are fucked. They are lucky really it went so smooth, this can end in a disaster (no skateboarding joke intended).
I think american are not used to use gears car , they don t drive automatic cars mostly ?! Or semi automatic
+Erik Piana most cars here are Automatic, but you can shift into a lower gear for this exact purpose. a lot of folks don't know what the feature is for, though, so they don't know to use it. It's usually either below D on gear box, or to the left of it. It's usually indicated by an "L" next to "D" (drive).
+Andtp Fack PLUS when you're on drum brakes like they probably were you should never hold the brakes on the whole way down a hill. Just touch them to slow down significantly then let them cool off again before having another slowdown.

everytime i see someone skating this or some similar looking spots where they have to push their ass off to even get up the bank, the music covers the fact, how hard they have to go to do a trick. it's kinda similar to a game of skate, where the sound of the pop and the speed makes it way more interestin. still fresh skateboarding
