Honestly, if wasn't for Hui - Jinho probably would have been the leader. Towards the end, you get a sense of how he was holding the team together. Even now, even though Hui is technically the leader, it seems like he and Jinho actually share the role in some respects.
Yu Ka Jinho is actually a shy and less talkative person. Hui is better for leader role who need to communicate with staff and speak as representative.
No argument there, Hui definitely fits the leader role the best. As you said, he definitely has a better sense of representing the team and acting as the connection between the company and the team. It just seems like they both hold the role of keeping up group morale equally (although that could just be because they're both the oldest members XD).
Hui is the leader but despite only a one year age gap, Jinho is much more mature. Probably because he's trained for so long and been through so much. I think Jinho is like the groups pillar while Hui is their representative. If you notice in Pentagon Maker, Jinho cares about all of their scores so much and he hides his real feelings a lot. He obviously felt hurt when only 3 people chose him and when even Hongseok chose to be in E'Dawn's team over his but he reassured that it was okay because Hongseok needed the performance point. And also he expected it, showing how well he knew Seok. Then Jinho also shares the burden of a leader whether he was meant to be or not, like when he was in a team with Kino , and at the finals when he was with Wooseok. He told Yuto at the end : " I told you I would protect you." So if I look at this, Jinho is definitely more of a quiet and strong pillar for them. Meanwhile Hui, despite being one of the hyung line, you can tell he's still quite immature for his age (no offence to the big baby hes very cute) He's the younger of two for one. Now looking in Korean hierarchy, when he was in Triple H with Hyojong and Hyuna, he should have shown a lot a lot of respect for Hyuna but compared to the amount he was expected to give, I feel he was acting pretty immature and spoilt in the conflict over lack of contact with Hyuna. I feel like he should have apologised when she asked why he wasn't replying by maybe saying : " I'm sorry, I was busy with concert prep" instead of just : " I was busy." As a leader of a group of 10 even in a sub unit he shouldn't have acted this way to a senior, he needs to be the frontline and to make good connections. In this aspect, I believe he loses to Jinho by far. But, Hui is very expressive. He is immature but in a way it is an advantage, just by watching videos of them, you can tell he is quite thoughtless and can be a bit hot tempered. Which helps when he needs to stand up for the members against the company. In this way, Jinho loses to him by far because Jinho is very quiet and for the eldest, I would say Jinho is way too nice to the other members. Hui can control them and discipline them while Jinho would be too soft. This is just my opinion please don't get offended!

Jinho always sings amazingly well! Hongseok has such a sweet voice and I'm super proud of Yan An he improved and sound so lovely. This is my favorite E'dawn performance! And my dear Shinwon crying because it's his last performance. He's so talented and funny! I really like their song and performance. It was emotional and hits you in the feels. In my opinion they should of won.
yanan made me speechless... wow hes such a good singer and he sings with all his soul :) hong sok too jinho too edawn too and shinwon too. in my opinion, shinwon part arent stand out like others but every part he sing is really emotional and i really love it. this song is just perfect. every parts everything is really good. this gonna be my fav♡
IMHO this is the best E'Dawn performance on Pentagon Maker so far.

As much as I hate how CUBE ENT promoting their artist, but CUBE are getting better.. They promoted Pentagon harder and CUBE gave me these talented boys.. These 10 little souls who would give me time to laugh.. CUBE did not only form them as a group, but actually a big family that cares about each other.. I am proud to call myself a cubestan.. Pentagon will be big one day, and by I mean one day, it's soon.. We managed to gain many fans in Korea and Pentagon are known internationally too! Even their Mini Concert will be held soon! They made me proud! I wish I can fly to Korea to support them but its okay.. I will just support them from behind..

As much as CUBE sucks at promoting, they really debut vocal gods, first Beast's Yoseob, then BTOB vocal line (+their rappers sing freaking well too), and then Pentagon, Jinho and Hui are obvious, but the rest of their vocal line is great too. SM is known for great vocalists, but they really made a mistake letting down one of the greatest. And another thing I like about CUBE is the whole self-composing/producing aspect their idols have going on.
If anyone ever discredit Pentagon, make them watch this. They were already so talented before debuting. We are now in 2023 and they’ve improved even more. I love them so much 💙

Cube has this godly ability to put people of different colors together and they would sound amazing.
Although Cube has some management problems, you cannot deny that they have one of the best talents there.
And the good thing about Cube is that they let their artists perform with their own style and creativity.
You've got to hand it to them for that. I kinda like the Cube now with how they are pushing BTOB, Pentagon and CLC.
I think Jinho made a good choice leaving SM.
Jinho said before that he doesn't feel like he wasted his time (in SM) , instead he took it as a learning experience.
So we should try to learn to look at it from his perspective though most of us feel like "SM wasted his time and talent". (:
to this day i genuinely think this is one of the best, if not THE BEST performance from pentagon maker. they were all still needing improvements but i really, REALLY loved this performance so much. shinwon on the background vocals, jinho coming thru with the high notes, hyojong with his consistent rap, yanan with beautiful vocals even though he was having pronunciation issues, hongseok showing how he is just as much a main vocal as jinho-

This was the BETTER performance (on another level) but I guess the show had to go like this. Director asked for some more raw emotions and heart wrenching moments to fill episode. Could you imagine if they had to perform to an upbeat song? This really set the mood for the elimination. Never get sick of listening to this - too bad not on iTunes

I'm pretty sure that you're wrong about 4minute. They had no reason to make them disbanden and it was their decision to leave Cube after 7 years. G.NA also decided last year that she didn't wanted to be an idol anymore.

moments like the ending make me wonder if pentagon would be a lot different if jinho was made the leader. he's a little more introverted in general and in comparison to hui, so i'm glad hui's leader. but you can tell throughout the show that jinho would've done well as leader too
