Well, one of the possibilities is that our Universe is shaped like a torus (donut shape) and we live in the surface of that torus. If that’s true, the Universe will end with a Big Rip and humanity will disappear forever. Did I give you an existential crisis already?

Its like kurzgesagt make all the things feel way better, and not just that, they make you to have hope in the future and make you feel amazed by all of what surrounds you. So, yeah, you guys did it just perfect. Your channel is probably one of the best o this plattaform by far.

I lost my father to cancer when I was 22 years old. To this day, I miss him terribly. But then the thought comes to me that his DNA was passed on to me, and in a way, his essence still lives inside me. And in that way, I don't feel as far apart from him as I used to. And that gives me a lot of comfort.
To you all: I lost my father three years ago, and I so miss him still, dearly. The days are better, but it is still hard. Good to read what each of you have said, because I struggle in Life now, when I never really did before. It's just hard to get back "on the right track" (not drugs or anything like that) just hard to keep fighting the daily grind and struggle without that wonderful person in my life to make the days better. I think this was your best video so far by far. I've been studying cosmology for a long time and used to be a biologist so this is familiar ground for me. You've managed to to a wonderful job of conveying both the scale and philosophical implications here. I think the best analogy for a human is like an eddy in a stream. It's got structure that is formed by the information imprinted upon it by the shape of the riverbed and flow of water but it has no true permanent physical structure. We and other living organisms are basically eddies or standing waves that put a self-regenerating imprint on the stream of matter that flows through us, imprinted by the information carried in the DNA. The only complaint I'd have about this episode is that I was planning on making a video about the ridiculous length of the total DNA in a human body and you beat me to the punch. :P Also, by my calculations, it doesn't add up to a Pluto round trip. It's more like 2.5 round trips, just to make it more ridiculous. And that's from a total of approximately 1 kg of DNA.

The thing that makes me feel close to humanity and the universe is knowledge, even when I am physically what we call alone. It's beautiful that the atoms that make us up were formed in the core of a star that is now long gone, and that our DNA all stemmed from the one single cell (sidenote: we should call this first lifeform Martin), but the thing that makes me ball-to-the-walls amazed is that all the technology and knowledge that lay before us in this modern era is the culmination of millennia of human efforts - of those long past and those still innovating. It's nice to take a step back every once in a while and think about the billions of people who lived before us - and those less fortunate who live today - who were not quite so blessed. Beautiful video, again. So touching. You always amaze me.

If we manage to survive that long, who's to say our technological advances won't allow us to survive the "end of the universe"? Of course that's something we can't comprehend at this point in our existence...
Another video explains that FTL, even if we do manage to create it, will not be fast enough to even escape our local cluster. The local cluster is a pixel wide compared to the observalble universe, and the observable universe itself is a pixel wide (theoretically though) of the actual universe. And since the universe is always expanding, the distance between one space thing to another also constantly expands, making attempts to escape even the local cluster impossible.
I think most of them, like most of those who dislike videos on RUclips, are trolls. Also, stop judging entire categories of people based on a minority of individuals from that category (this is the definition of discrimination). Don't be that kind of person.

This is the first time I've seen 3d animes so I watched it. Spoiler Alert!! Turn back now before continuing to read....... Before the mc was born there were NORMAL human beings. But Ochiai, a scientist, caused a gauna to go rampage inside sidonia. At this event many humans die and only a few survived. The lone survivors were some people I don't know, the captain, the Mc's grandfather, the bear, and the grandmother of the first friend of the mc. The grandmother of the first friend of the mc was the leading scientist who created clones to repopulate sidonia. There was only one problem.. food supplies.. but the grandma of the first friend of the mc had a solution. She created clones with a special ability called Synthesis were in the clones can "Eat" by just absorbing the light. And it doesn't mean the sun's light.. Any light sources. (Evident by the fact that the captain was floating naked in her quarters with lights from bulbs?)

While I would agree that a lot of religious people do appreciate and encourage scientific inquiry, some religious people (enough to make a difference) simply do not want certain research done. This is why a "3rd world" (in a sense) nation such as India is ahead of the US in Stem Cell research. Most atheists on the other hand do not project whatever they believe as actuality, since atheism itself is not a belief; it's a lack of belief in god(s)- which means that that is the only guaranteed shared quality between one atheist and the next, leaving everything else as post-hoc. So while you have a healthy view on focusing on research, you seem to be slightly naive on the the culprits of hindrance.

I really liked the way this video was put together, Kurzgesagt! It had a certain rhytm to it, important pointers (such as "atoms don't look like this!" or "leaving science, entering philosophy) were a really nice touch and should be in every video IMO, but the visuals were nicely made and easily comprehensible. There didn't seem to be much of excess anything, so I will share this in a few places I frequent! Thank you!

Another video explains that FTL, even if we do manage to create it, will not be fast enough to even escape our local cluster. The local cluster is a pixel wide compared to the observalble universe, and the observable universe itself is a pixel wide (theoretically though) of the actual universe. And since the universe is always expanding, the distance between one space thing to another also constantly expands, making attempts to escape even the local cluster impossible.

Spoiler Alert!! Turn back now before continuing to read....... Before the mc was born there were NORMAL human beings. But Ochiai, a scientist, caused a gauna to go rampage inside sidonia. At this event many humans die and only a few survived. The lone survivors were some people I don't know, the captain, the Mc's grandfather, the bear, and the grandmother of the first friend of the mc. The grandmother of the first friend of the mc was the leading scientist who created clones to repopulate sidonia. There was only one problem.. food supplies.. but the grandma of the first friend of the mc had a solution. She created clones with a special ability called Synthesis were in the clones can "Eat" by just absorbing the light. And it doesn't mean the sun's light.. Any light sources. (Evident by the fact that the captain was floating naked in her quarters with lights from bulbs?)

I really liked the way this video was put together, Kurzgesagt! It had a certain rhytm to it, important pointers (such as "atoms don't look like this!" or "leaving science, entering philosophy) were a really nice touch and should be in every video IMO, but the visuals were nicely made and easily comprehensible. There didn't seem to be much of excess anything, so I will share this in a few places I frequent! Thank you!
