I had this last night. I decided to fry it in a skillet, and added a little sesame oil and soy sauce. It totally changed the taste and was delicious. Along with General Tso chicken and air fried egg rolls, it was outstanding. I make my own egg rolls using cole slaw mix and chopped raw shrimp.
"Hot pan. Cold oil. Food won't stick." Long before he got banned, the Frugal Gourmet TV chef used to repeat that like a mantra. He was right.

We save money by buying frozen vegetables when it's on sale. Frozen vegetables are picked, cleaned, processed and frozen when it's ripe vs "fresh" vegetables which are picked prior to it being ripe because it needs to be cleaned, processed and shipped, which takes days longer.
IF YOU COOK THE VEGS SEPARATELY WITH SOME SESAME OIL AND LET IT GET A LIL CHAR .. YOU RICE YOU TASTE 💯 BETTER 😉

Innovasian very likely expects YOU, THE CUSTOMER to add your own soy sauce or oyster sauce. Their quality of ingredients are really good. Making a rice cooker 1 pot meal today with Jasmine rice, sesame oil, soy and oyster sauces, shitakes, onion. Garlic, turmeric. Black pepper and egg.

My son-in-law was born in China. I once asked him for his moms fried rice recipe They use what you use but also a packet of fried rice seasoning, I think the brand is Sunbird
I think the only way you make good fried rice is if you use a wok! ❤

It's actually been a long while since I last had anything with rice, and the strange thing is, I don't miss it, just the meaty parts that came with most of the fried rice dishes I tended to like, though some of the "meaty" parts were suspicious in that they tasted like they just used spam... :P
As always - great video and thanks for sharing the easy process to make fried rice. I always use basmati rice - a bit more expensive but has a great flavor and works will for fried rice.

Thank you for this! I HATE edamame and I’m always looking to discover other fried rice versions, I make it often.
Yeah, I tried this rice because I was looking for a good side to go with my InnovAsian pot sticker, which I really like!!! The pork ones in particular. I guess I learned that I don't like edamame either, it didn't really occur to me at the time, but when I opened the bag there was a vaguely familiar smell wafting up that was not appealing to me whatsoever. I will say the smell of it was worse than the taste, or what little taste there was, I did have to put some soy sauce in there to ramp up the flavor, but it was the edamame that wasn't jiving with me. I think some snow peas would have been a much better choice to mix in there. It's not terrible, but overall I wouldn't recommend this. Maybe I'll give their Lo-mein a try, but the rice did not instill much confidence.
Can we get some struggle meals that feature potatoes?
