Maybe I missed it, but what did (does) Johnnie do for a living? Was he in the gas and oil industry where he might have had connections to build such a fine collection? I have a similar type collection of this kind of petroliana, food, diner, fountain, BBQ signage, railroading, fishing lure, outboard motor stuff, racing, and on and on. And I can tell you it took me a shit-ton of money and 45 years to build it. That is why I am watching this and interested in fellow collectors, historians, and aficianados of design to hear and compare their journies and stories with my experience. Thanks, and the best to both of you.

He is retired now. He mentioned working with movie companies renting out his pumps currently but I failed to ask what type work he did in the past. He is an upstanding gentleman and started collecting over 30 years ago,

Rob, Always making the American Petroliana and more (Shell oil and gas for instance) great. Congratulations and take care too.
Rob, I do not if you have ever done, but, put in your car the "your channel name", we have to increase the inscribed. From Rio-Brasil

It's funny, I never see Sohio or Boron signs...
Sohio was Standard oil of Ohio and Boron was the same logo (S.O.) in Pennsylvania. (Boron was a grade of gas at Sohio stations) My dad had a Sohio card which had about 20+ stations you could use it at depending on which state you were in.
Clark and Marathon are a couple others I rarely see...

Thanks for watching my video and commenting on this. I have seen only a few Sohio signs but not Boron . I do have a Boron globe in my collection .
