Aloha Athena! Thanks so much for this drill(s). I work with a few gals who are striving to get better and we drill every week. This will be a good one for them. Thanks again!
I don't get this drill. You are shown how to position your paddle and then it is not done in ANY of the drill progression. I expected one person to hit the ball harder and the other person block it with a single hit into the kitchen. What did I miss??
I think if named a "soft hands" drill it would be more appropriate. This is an excellent drill for those that squeeze the paddle too hard and don't know how to reset a fast ball.
Nice drill. Now just need to convince the hubby to participate 😄

It would have been nice if she had actually demonstrated a few blocks. Now I’ll be catching during a match.
Just try to sell it as one continuous motion and you'll be good ;-)
I think you can only hit it twice when it is unintentionally and a single continuous motion
@@luke9822 There is no motion. You hold your paddle open with a light grip and block the ball with one hit. Forward motion would be a counter.
@@7soccergeek It was an attempt at comedy in response to "now I'll be catching during a match."

Thank you!
Really bad video here, I'm sorry 😥
@@calvinpage_pickleball How do you mean?
