Why is everyone forgetting the obvious burn that we got coop woth EOD .... they sold us coop without persistence already.. so they basically improved the mode they already sold us and didn't give us the update unless we paid 100 more dollars for the coop patch !
I backed up all my spt stuff in case they go after the spt discord and site. I have it forever and the mods I like .. they can go F themselves.
I had friends that had been hoping for a coop persistence mode for tarkov for years that said if it came they would get the game but when I called them and said lol 250 dollars they said hell no... they cost themselves money with their greedy cash grab . If they had a proper co op mode with mod support like a legitimate consumer friendly developer they would make money hand over fist . Instead they went for scamming their EOD customers and that pays less .. no matter if they believe it or not

I've played 7 or so years myself it only took several thousand hours 3 EOD purchases and a stand alone arena to escape from tarkov. Like a good drug dealer once said "honey, you've had enough" /cutoff

this is not true, the model for the knife have been taken out of the game, and the meshing and textures are different, the heavy similarities comes from the fact that both assets are a reproduction of a IRL knife. So it's not an asset flip, they most probably made the in game knife themselves.
In times like this, these kind of made up complaint are very detrimental, as they prevent us from focusing on real problems rather than fake one.

I have over 2k hours in Tarkov, I bought the standard edition on day 1, day 2 I bought EOD. I have loved Tarkov and played it for years, this "unheard" edition is the first time ive ever considered not coming back to Tarkov..Its a slap in the face to all those who play the game, and its 100% taking a shit on those of us who bought EOD.

Please don't go back. I am the exact same as you. Loved it from day 1, day 2 bought EOD. Been one of my most heavily played games. Please just play SPT at this point, man. I'm not going to sit here and complain about the morality -- companies don't care about that. The ONLY way we can make them change is to show them that certain actions will hurt their pockets. Please do not play this again. As of this announcement, we wasted our money.

Wait, waitwaitwait, I just had a vision, Imagine, 5 man vs 5 man, you lose a couple guys, kill 4 of them but can't find the 5th, few minutes later 5 new guys come steamrolling out of the treeline as you loot.... it's the same 4+1 guys you just killed and their 5th man ran off to SOS beacon them back into the raid. Who needs insurance?
OR - 4/5 of your guys in the team dies. Man 5 hits the beacon. 4 dead dudes come back to loot their bodies and continue the adventure. It's a revolving reinforcement door.

Now what they've basically done is release a de facto single player expansion pack, but labelled it as a new "edition" instead, thus screwing over everyone who backed them with the "deluxe edition" for years.
I don't care about the pockets or any of the other stuff, it's the fact they have expanded the game and insisted it isn't an expansion, just so they don't have to give it to their most loyal backers. Really gross and sleazy.
What's worse is that there is no redemption arc here. This is blatant contract fraud. There's no way to hold them accountable because they're in Russia. There is no path to rebuilding trust. It's done.
Don’t worry the DLC’s in store for us will be weapons and clothes skins, just you wait…

@@festungkurland9804 My guess is they wanted funds after arena was a big flop but they decided to do it in virtually the best way possible to piss off the community and especially the eod owners who have been supporting the developers for years and years. It essentially is BSG saying yes, we know we made promises to you but fuck you, we want more money.

A: No, after release there will be other packs, with lesser bonuses." We were promised EOD would always have the best bonuses.

You, alongside a large percentage of the player base bought it for the advantage if offered in game; you could have just bought base edition and be vibing. Even if the decision by BSG is very cash grabby, scummy, whatever you may want to call it, saying “I was supporting devs” is copium, and now you got screwed.
I totally get it, and I’m sorry if it offends you if I’m wrong in my generalization, but people( including BSG) never held themselves accountable for anything when it comes to be.

Have you even seen their Discord Gen chat 1? I've been watching THOUSANDS of messages in it pouring in for like the last 8 hours. It's so funny they thought it would be a good upgrade, or that they had the balls to give sass, when an apology could have saved it - This will go down in history as the day a Game Company commits financial seppuku. Worse yet, if co-op is decided to be DLC, it would be breach of contract and years old chargebacks would genuinely become an option.
Unfortunately chargeback isn't a valid avenue here. But if they can get enough pissed off people for a class action lawsuit this could get very expensive for BSG very quickly.

Feeling utterly betrayed by BattleState Games. I took the leap of faith and supported them with the EoD edition, believing in their promise of complete access. Now, they’ve released a new, pricier edition, and it feels like a slap in the face to all of us who invested early. It’s not just about the money; it’s about trust. Last natural wipe from a big patch before player base fractured off.
Got to enjoy silver aged Tarkov with friends. I don't know what the future brings after people become unheard offline.
I bought EFT a couple years ago. Ive played VERY casually since. I just dont like the pricing for stuff. Then when they introduced Arena i was excited to come back and try it. Only to learn i had to pay more for a crappy game mode
People have extractes the Kukri model from EFT and it has a very different topology from the Unity store asset - It is a real life Kukri you cam buy, so the fact that other models exist isnt shocking.
think you didnt listen, the only difference between the two are a shine effect, tarkovs was edited to fit its game environment, pull a side by side they are the exact same one. the wholes the decals all identical and thats no accident

They didn’t add loot vacuum bots to the edition. Unrealistic. Uninstalled
Pve co-op mode is a great addition. Should've already been part of it like so many other games. There are more casuals out there than pvp sweats. I've said before I'd not be opposed to paying for pve server time. But as an EOD owner I feel a bit burned that I'd have to buy the game all over again after being led to believe otherwise. I have many friends who own eft but stopped playing it who all say they'd get back into it if there was a co-op playthrough mode. My frustration is they'll see this price and say no.
They pretend they do not understand what "downloadable content" is.
Sure, they have to run single-player on their own servers to prevent 95% of piracy. To pay for this they should have sold SP separately for $20 - 30, having apologised and explained to EOD owners that this is the only feasible way to have SP developed and running. The rest of the content is content, DLC is DLC. Thus, must be included into EOD.
For many customers, the main selling point for an expensive $150 EOD version back in 2016 - 2020 was that it includes all future content (downloadable one). It was a lot of money in 2016 to take from life and family and invest in the future.
This is like construction workers charging you extreme amount for a bathroom renovation and you agree to make a deal because they include 10-year warranty. In 5 years they ask for extra unheard money because the warranty "does not cover electric wiring because this is a bathroom and not an electric power-station" and they did not mean it was included.
base game players can enjoy any version of the game on SPT, buy the barebones package and get EOD free of charge

They've made a game so hostile to new players that they have no way to make money except by exploiting the existing player base until the game self destructs.
@@diamondmx3076 In fortnite if you wanted to you could spend a thousand a year helping the game. In Path of Exile you can invest easily 1000 dollars a year into packs and skins. In Call of Duty you can spend easily over a thousand per year on cash shop and new game purchases. In Tarkov once you spent 140 dollars you were done. That is of course a failing of BSG, and this expansion is the wrong direction for fixing funding, but ultimately for a game where the main dedicated player spends over 2,000 hours a year playing, you can't support them really at all.
It doesnt look like a port. They are more than likely to build game from the ground for the PC and this is huge

The worst part about this tweet is that it’s directed at US, the players. It’s not directed at the company throwing shade at them. It’s directed at the people who’ve supported them, many of them who spent $150 on the shell of a game that we currently have.

I bought EOD in Feb 2018, relatively early for games hype. It's been dead to me for at least a year. It used to be my favorite game, now it's not even installed on my pc. I wish I could get my thousands of hours back.
With the new Unheard edition coming out i can say one thing for sure. BSG won't be hearing from me again.

There are countless documentaries of people who took their time to dig deep into BSG's PREVIOUS title in russia that had people shelling out cash for P2W (it was a shooter too!) and then they straight up rug pulled the game.

WillerZ spent over 5 minutes trying to run a PvP raid raid earlier in the day. So doubtful. At least SPT I can be in a raid in under 45 seconds but that's for a different system.
Wow, that is heavy stuff for all who got the EOD-Edition. BSG messed up and loose - full blown. Maybe they makle a 180 degree turn, but well it also could be the end of BSG because who will buy again? They show us the middlefinger and all promises are now with this new Edition are forgotten?

I'm a casual player in Tarkov who has bought the EOD version of the game 3 or 4 years ago. I have been looking forward to a PvE version of the game for a long time. Sometimes when I get off work I would like to fight bots instead of players that are much better than me or are cheating. When I saw PvE I was very excited until....
Having to pay $100 to have that privilege, pissed me off!

Just tried to embrace the US$ 250 offline PvE experience... but when the "matching" timer reached 7 minutes (for a freaking OFFLINE session) I gave up.
They need to run a integrity check on themselves instead of pushing one during each patch.
