Yo, Phil and hope all is well there. Fine here and that's a fine little digger BUT the biggest downfall of them is keeping the tine drive WELL lubed. When my pal was running the saw shop a pile of these came in and the main problem was the drive gear stripped. The worm is steel and the bull gear is bronze and if it gets dry, it's gone and a set of gears is almost as much as a new unit. There used to be zerk grease fittings on the old ones but I haven't seen a new one in a long time. They run fine till the gears strip and then you'll have a dandy little motor to play with. Maybe mount it on a fishing reel! GREAT explanation and happy digging! I've got a little tiller that goes on my weedeater but Cheryl went to no-dig years ago. WHEW! I also have a Gravely with a rotary plow. Double WHEW! So have a Jesus weekend and dig on, Pal and GBWYall!

Yes... everything is good out of the box. Time will tell. I wonder if I could tap and install a zerk in that spot. hmmmmm.....sounds like a good video. Been picking beans, cukes, and spinach like crazy. Canned some dilly beans and dill pickles a couple days ago. Used Tattler reusable lids on the dilly beans. (just to film it). Hopefully it will be my next video out in a couple weeks. Those lids really did work well. I'm impressed. Good hearing from you. Wish you were here to show me where to install a zerk. I'll have to do some research.
      GBWU2!

@@PhilCrockett Look at videos on the older ones and they ought to have one showing. I've seen them but can't remember where they were. And it's a sad thing if there's no place to lube them or add oil. Good old throw away society. Our cukes and beans are almost here. We're a little behind yall in that respect but we're still getting greenhouse stuff. Toots got a freeze drier and has been doing some with it. So far, so good. The Tattler lids will be very interesting. And with all that picking, maybe you'll be able to pick a nice fish or two or five. We're still goofy and watching the goofier ones go whizzing by. Gods grace Is amazing! Thanks, Phil and GBWYall!

You ought to put some anti-seize on the axel shafts before you put the tines on them, to be able to remove them for periodic maintenance.

Ya.... it gets mixed reviews for sure. However, way more positive than negative ones. so far, I love mine. It's been perfect for tilling my raised beds. Only time will tell if I continue to like it though... we'll see.
