I have two Crock-Pot enameled cast iron products. A red 5qt braiser and a red 7qt dutch oven. Both have slight imperfections and both have lids that only fit tight in one orientation. Both products are in heavy use and are showing zero signs of wear. I have had them about two months as of writing this. I do not regret either purchase and I am enjoying using them.
You can make great stews in a slow cooker, and fry things in a fryer so unless you're going to be cooking a lot of things like soup you don't really need this. Been cooking for more than 50 years and usually a large pot or casserole dish does the trick.
The thing here is, how often have you change your pot or casserole? In the long run you end up spending more money on changing pots every couple of years than having one dutch oven for ever. Plus the waste you produce every time you have to change pots.
funkywaffle I have an older Dutch oven but seldom use it unless for the holidays. We are both older and only the two of us. I use my insta pot and slow cooker more often.
I'm in the US and just searched up Combekk. It's quite expensive here as well 😟. $259.95 for the 4.25 quart. $290.78 for the 6.3. They are beautiful though 😍.

I have no kids. When I die somebody will probably throw away all my kitchen equipment so Le Cruset is out of the question!

Yunuen Galindo I’ve had the same pots for almost 50 years. Only thing I added was my insta pot and crockpot . Years ago the ones you bought lasted.
I like the crockpot.

I love my Amazon basics, just from looks , it looks so similar to Lodge's.
They both almost similar in price -For $20 more u can purchase a Lodge
I prefer Combekk. You can often find them for half the price of the top dogs and they perform just as well.
They also look nicer. Most other Dutch ovens look like 1970s granny pots.
