No one forces the men to pay the bill either. I would allow my friends(who are girls) to pay the bill but if I am taking out someone who I think is special (be it a girlfriend or a sister), I wouldn't allow them to pay. Similarly, when you go with elders- you allow them to pay due to respect.

You know why Indian me have so concern because mostly women are not financially independent by earnings and even still families don't allow women to go out for job even well educated . This should be changed because if a woman becomes strong financially and independent then no need to be feel helpless in front of society and sure then every one will start respecting them.

Marriage is the creation of a new family and not breaking away from it. Thus, we realize that we do need others at some point in time and situation. In other words, being in a big family we have the moral support of others to which we do need as human people. And the best person who could do that is our immediate family.

    2. Lack of Public Affection is NOT true.
    - Maa Parvati (Goddess of Strength) is known to sit on the lap of Lord Shiva (God of Desolation) with her arms wrapped around him.
    - Lord Ram made flower garland and he use to put it on Maa Sita.
    - Radha (Bhakta) has her hands wrapped around Lord Krishna while he is playing his flute.
    - Look at the ancient Hindu temples in ruins, you will find lots of feminism and freedom of expression that the hostile invaders did not like, so they destroyed hundreds and thousands of temples, gurukuls and Universities and forbidden lots of cultural practices and knowledge.

When Indian marry they both take the 7 oaths. man has to give the promise to the father for taking responsibility of the girls living, protecting.
The respect for each other are different in nature like showing the affection of kissing & hugging will raise query to children mind around us as well as it is mentioned in the book of Vatsyayana as one of the Er###c emotions of love which is forbidden publicly.
In Poland it is normal as it is showing affection to each other but if you don't kiss or hug will it be decreases your love or emotions for each other.
Everything is mortal only the love and spoken words will remain untill the end of the world.
Sister-in- Law respected as mother. Bhabhi welcome to Indian family of the ancient culture.

    As an Indian I would
    1. Never show public affection or say stupid things like " I love you". Affection in PRIVATE only.
    2. Would never bother about opening doors etc. She has her own hands doesn't she.
3 Would NEVER let my wife pay for anything ( her money earned or gifted from parents is HERS as " stree dhan स्त्री धन to be used by her for self and children). I would pay for all her and other house running expenses as much as I could.
    4. Would carry all her luggage ( except purse) as much as possible else hire a porter ( coolie).
    5. Do all outside work necessary to earn money for her and the family. But never do house work.
    6. Never interfere in her running of the house on day to day basis ( cooking, cleaning, decorating, purchasing etc). But pay for employing part time staff if required..
    But then, that's me.

You talk about arranged marriages. ' Arranged marriages ' is a western term. No such thing as arranged marriage. Its matchmaking. Boy and girl meet. If they like each other they go out. Then they get engaged and then marriage.
As for public effecton. I have ssen mqny couples in India holding handsin public, hugging each other. Its different in different parts of India . There is a limit on public effection though. In India you won't see couples kissing or having sex in public like western countries. Quite righly so as thee should be a limit on public effecton
Many Indian men and women split the bills Many women in poland don't split the bill. And some women all over the world don't split the bill and expect rhe amn to pay , even if they are earning good money.

Dear, it's very EASY for you because you don't live in India full time. It would have been a completely different and much harder + all your differences. Being married to indian man and live in Thailand/UAE is not the same as indian and live in India with all rules, limitations, obligations, all the family members and complicated social system of interaction!

Too much affection will break early...Indians show affection in the later stages and hence, relationships will be strong for long...

Nothing beats an Indian wife. I think all Indian men should only marry Indian girls. Because it may feel exotic to marry a foreigner girl but nobody talks about the difficulties they face after marriage. In India, marriage is not just a relationship between two people rather it's a union of two families. And if someone really cares about his family more than himself then he wud always choose an Indian wife with whom it will be easier for his parents to get along And also u don't need to leave behind your parents. You can live happily together as a family.

I mean split billing is here in India. And carrying the bags and all also split.
It's literally kinda meh that you feel insulting when men pays but at the same time expect men to act like a driver to carry all the bags.
    .
In some instances can be ok, cute. But this should never be the norm. A
    Just my views.

Indian guys are more loyal and try to keep the marriage going. In india, one doesn't marry the person, he/she marries the family, means she is expected to accept his family as hers. Indian family system protects the women and one can expect the marriage to last longer than in any other country. We don't expose our love for the other person very openly. And at the same time, the love is not superficial.
Indian parents take care of their children at the cost of their health, wealth and happiness. And so, they are too dependent on their children at old age.

The cultural differences are challenging definitely but the devotion and love Indian men show to a western woman is the best ❤ when they commit themselves to you they give you 💯 to make you happy with them. Just beautiful and well worth the effort of understanding each other’s cultures 🙏💕
