She's still got it BIG time... that voice, the song, and the woman herself... FLAWLESS! She has said that this song and much of the album is written about her son, his father (her ex husband) and her relationship with herself, this is about starting a conversation that might be hard but is needed or spreaking up about something that isn't working, but (her words) "go easy on me, it's not always my fault" ... totally LOVE IT 💖🎼🎹

The song was written to her son speaking to the divorce. She is speaking to him. The symbolism starting with the crow cawing in beginning, the sheet music blowing out of the car without a care, the transition to color, on and on referencing and ending with the delicate crystals at the end. I heard that she dedicated this album and of course this song included , to her son . Basically she is explaining the divorce and decisions that she made to him ( when he becomes old enough to understand). She's telling him to take it easy on her for divorcing his father ; which broke up their family.

She even bought her ex-husband a house right by hers so he could have the best of both parents.
