In his passionate DLD Munich presentation, computer scientist Ehud Shapiro discusses his vision of an alternative architecture for the digital world - because right now, he says, the Internet resembles a feudal system where a few digital overlords have total control over billions of users.
The fault does not lie so much with people as with technology itself, Shapiro - a highly respected researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science - argues. “Computer science has not delivered the necessary foundations for different behavior”.
