The game wasnt killed by bots, it was killed by bigpoint's greed by releasing more expensive stuff that >99% player don't have time or money to keep up with. The bots are just the symptom of the game's decay.
you're right. also bot's have been around since 2012 so nothing new. back in 2012 everyone was using Kbot and only the ones who didn't invest tons of money didn't get banned.
I remember like it was yesterday,i was such a depressive teenager when i was 13yo and everyday when i arrived in my home after school i used to sit in front of my computer all alone to play darkorbit. I didnt have any friends,i didnt have anyone to talk cuz nobody was my friend in my school neither in my neighbourhood so this game was the first place that i made friends in my entire life. That was in 2009s and is really sad for me now see how this game was totally destroyed by bigpoints greed. But this game has literally saved my life from depression when i was young,so i will always have good memories about this game ... R.I.P Darkorbit.

I remember playing this game when I was 10 years old. On the one hand, I was having breakfast with toast and on the other hand, I was collecting the raw materials. There was a quest that paid well for that time when you collected 200 yellow raw materials. Now it's been 13 years, it's 5 am and I'm writing this comment :) Greetings to the space pilots in 2010 from 2022.
I think the best times of darkorbit was 2008-2009...One of my dream was having a full iris orange or red goliath and invade enemy x-1 map...Yeah once upon a time for a 9 years old kid that was a so big dream but know nothing. You will always stay in my memories old darkorbit...

What a great game it was. I remember when they starting rolling out all the xtra stuff: pet, zeus, apis and Lf4's. People tried at first, but the cost and grind was ridiculous. Legit players turned to bots out of desperation. I just quit. As simple as it was, it was the most fun I ever had in a game.
Damn, you still coming back here recalling the game? And you realize that even if you're eager to play it again you won't experience the same fun like 10-15 years ago
I'm late to this party but here goes regardless (this one will be long). I started playing Darkorbit with my brother in around 2012 and played until about 2019. I would say my best time in Darkorbit was in the 2012-2014 range. I'm unsure if I got the years right tho since I was playing on my country's server and we got the updates a bit late I think. There was the Pet, Apis, Zeus, Havoc drone design and LF-4 with Aegis, Spearhead, Citadel and the Hercules design being added later. I remember those days quite fondly. When Goliath and Vengeance designs actually needed the base model to have them, when there were always people in the auction house giving all their credits for those ships in hopes of getting to elite status. Back in my early days, the single scariest thing in Darkorbit was a Venom with full Havoc drones and full LF-4 laser cannons. If you had that at the time, you were basically the best player in the game and the scariest thing on the map. Those were indeed the good days. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I did sink money into this game to get myself better ships. I should have realised how pay to win this game truly was, yet I didn't. When all was said and done, I had a Goliath and a Pet. I used the auction house to buy the rest of what I needed : LF-3s, Iris drones, Goliath designs. I was cruising around with about half Iris drones in a Goliath Enforcer, shooting unfortunate souls in the Lower maps, thinking I was unkillable. I was quickly proven wrong playing Spaceball. And so I continued grinding. I bought myself the "fancy designs" - Sentinel, Spectrum, Solace, Venom and my favourite Diminisher. I don't know why I liked that thing so much, but it looked cool as hell. I almost lost my marbles when I got full LF-3s on my ship and realised I was shooting blue now. Lost countless hours getting Apis and Zeus. The grind didn't stop though. Always on 5-3 collecting Palladium. I was doing Zeta gates to get my Havoc drone designs. After that I began opening booty cashes for LF-4s. I was about a third of the way done with that when they added the Aegis, Spearhead and Citadel. I got the Aegis first but I went back to the Goliath (eventually got the other two as well). Around this time, I managed to aquire the Vengeance Lightning design. That was probably the most fun I had. I became a speed demon haunting enemy maps, shooting down anyone who dared to enter my line of sight. It wasn't the optimal build for sure, but I had fun. After getting destroyed so many times when I started playing, I finally became the hunter. After the LF-4s were finished, I started upgrading. A slow and tedious process, but I did become so much stronger. I think the last thing I did was getting full Hercules designs. Running through the Kappa gate over and over again was boring, but the results were fantastic. Once again, I was at the top of the foodchain, so to speak. Kronos and Hades gates were done as well. I basically achieved everything. I spent a lot of time just hunting players on their own maps in my Lightning, cruising around at breakneck speeds, shooting WIZ missiles at unsuspecting newbies and watching them panic, placing down fireworks near people hunting for Krystallons, golden times indeed. I don't know when the breaking point for most people was exactly. For me, it was with the "upgraded LF-4s" and the Prometheus Laser. I personally couldn't bring myself to grind for lasers all over again. I kind of realised the game was dying at that point. It became too pay to win. My suspicions were confirmed further when I saw the "Starter Packs". New players no longer had a chance to catch up. Even veterans were quitting because of how grindy it all got. Unfortunately at that time, there was truly no going back. The servers were overrun with bots. New players were driven away when they realised how much time they would need to sink to reach even sub-elite loadouts. I kind of stopped playing after that, only occasionally checking back to see the same sad scene of empty sectors and bots as when I left. I don't consider my time on Darkorbit wasted. I enjoyed it, until it got too grindy. I don't blame people for disliking the game now, but I myself try to focus on the fun times I had and the online friends I made. My first galaxy gates, the uneasy peace on the pirate maps, the destruction of clan battle stations, the fights with players, spaceball, invasion. All of it was fun. It did outweigh the grind for me. It was just a game but I can't help but smile thinking about the good times I had while playing it, cruising around in my Lightning. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
well in my days the most scariest thing is goliath with white laser and full drone what i mean is the first client version of goliath its bigger and scary looking rather than newest goli design
2010. was 10 years old, played it the whole time with my older brother and even my dad in DE4. i loved it and i botted because i was darn poor and i wanted to have cool things as well. got banned for it and started in DE6 since the ban without botting and over the years a bit. its sad to see it pretty much dead. DO needed new update and mechanics but not like this i see why no new players come to this game. it was truly amazing untill 2012/2014. i think back of the old days when many players were just waiting on gates let alone how many used to chill at the base. truly a great time. the worst thing what happened would be the complete free ship repairs, but at that time it was already over. no other ships then vengeance/goliath all over the map. there will never be a experience like DO 2010-2011 but atleast i experienced it myself back then. i realy hope they add a old school mode in the game, a server for a DO 2006 or 2010. this would rly give me motivation to play it again and i would not be the only one, im sure many would atleast give it one shot when they hear that (probably) never coming news ^^
This used to be my childhood game. It was such a good game. Had such great potential. Now what? There are so many p2w players. R.I.P Dark Orbit, I hope the devs remove the p2w ships and give the game a bit more events. It's sad to see it go like this.
I remember playing since Old Graphics. I think that's what most people called it. In my opinion, it wasn't bots. Bots have been in the game for years. And while they do make things suck (especially the worst of the bots which were the super cheater players, not the offline collectors), I think what really made the game die off was the company. They didn't seem to care about anything except releasing more and more paid stuff that wasn't even original. Most of the "new" ships and designs were just recolors that couldn't have possibly taken them more than 20 minutes to make. When there was actual new content, it took too long to be released, and it was almost always aimed at UFE players, not for everyone. So if you're someone who wasn't UFE, like myself, you either couldn't even get into the new stuff at all, or you could but you'd have a bad time real fast. I feel bad because I have been playing since the old graphics, but I'm still nowhere near UFE. It's too much pay to win. I've seen people surpass my strength after just 2 days of paying and playing for a few hours. Sure, I could do most of the stuff for free, but I can't play for a dozen hours a day like some people could. I don't think they ever actually added new maps. A few new gates which were just rehashes of old ones. And they took forever dealing with bots, the really bad ones that I mentioned. I lost interest a couple of years ago and pretty much only login to sell cargo and get advent calendar rewards, but I might stop doing that in a few days. I think the last time I seriously tried to sit down and play the game, it was so convoluted and confusing with all the new crap that I just logged off after about 30 minutes. I think I pretty much stopped playing when they finally fused some of the servers, and screwed up all the names. I can't even change mine back to what it always was, and of course their support is completely useless. I might give the game another try sometime soon, but I've pretty much walked away a long time ago.
Damn this brings back memories… I remember Spaceball & being on Teamspeak with the clan coordinating. I miss cubing in upper maps and going hunting with the gang! I remember everyone use to wait for Mega Happy hour to buy uri. It sucks Bigpoint made the game too expensive for the majority. I know guys who spent 5k - 10k yearly on Darkorbit when they were only making 30k annually. Literally blowing their paychecks on the game. 2007 - 2010 was the best time. RIP Darkorbit 🌹
i started playing it in 2014 even that i stopped playing in 2018 these 4 years were the best for me i feel like they are 10 years i met a lot of friends i remember when i'm going returning from school thinking of what i will do today in the game :).
i started playing in 2010 until now. Everyday I just do the daily quest and done(easy uri). I also participate if there were events like trial and vortex of terrors. Proud F2P player
The game was so much fun as a kid on the old client in like 2008. Hanging out in teamspeak going on battles with hundreds of players on each side.. It went down hill once they introduced Galaxy Gates and everyone just started playing for hours by themselves.
Damn, I remember coming home from school and turning on the computer and playing for hours without caring about anything, my friends, the music, the time. I was infinitely grateful for this game that gave me a lot of joy.
The biggest waste of my time. It was fun in the beginning then you realize that you are still a beginner even if you have 8 iris drones, a full packed Goliath with LF-3, SG3N-B02. Then they ad LF-4 with variants and upgrades for them, 2 more drones which you get for donations or for spending way too much time in this game. Suddenly you became just a piece of meat for top players. In this config PvP ends in 2-3 seconds you don't even have the time to switch the configs for shields and the lags are still the problem in this game. I was playing until mid 2011, then at the end of 2020 I have found the login and password in my notebook and gave it a try. ))
I started playing in 2010 with my grandfather. He had a goliath with all LF3 and taught me how to play the game, and everything on how to use the skylab, the auction and etc... I miss those times. I gave my acc away next year before moving countries, i had goliath with some LF3 lasers. I Dont play the game nowadays, my grandfather goes on sometimes, he doesnt play active but he had a top ship and loadout before LF4.... and he was colonel rank on some new server at one point... Sad to see the game go this way, I had fun for some time, especially all the memories of doing quests and failing alpha gate... lol
I remember playing a ton back in 2009-2011. I later quit from just being bored from it and later all the clan mates I met also left the game from real life things. Once I saw how hard it was to be leveling up and gearing up against the max players, it was not worth trying anymore. However I did return sometime later in 2020 and started actually putting money in it, mostly Bonus Box doublers and other subscription packs for like $30. And from there I started getting geared up and following closely for gate rewards and soon became full LF-4 on ship and drones over a few months. However this was also during when those Plasma Lasers and other super OP weapons were craftable and you'd have to spent HOURS just grinding them all and used all plasma lasers to deal incredible amounts of damage. Along with the Cyborg ship still dominating the game (I think), along with a vast amount of new ships with weird abilities and hard to keep up on what's going on. I'm still glad I got to reach my goal of Full LF-4 Iris and Ship, Goliath with some designs and a few special ship designs. Overall became FE, UFE was never a goal, that's for sure. While it was hard to PvP against some players, I've been told by others that I do bring a struggle to them when they pop in out of no where trying to kill me off. Other times I enjoyed playing as a Recon Ship to help out the Outfit squad, usually scanning for targets and really making it difficult for enemy ships to properly counter or ambush them with Moth design when they go run and heal HP. I later resorted to botting as I saw that Bigpoint didn't care for bots as much, as most botters I noticed were Bonus Box bots or Palladium bots, I was among those Palladium Bots; as I knew it wasn't harming anyone and no one wants to spend HOURS farming palladium when you can have a bot program do it for you while you do other important things or other games you want to play. I'll miss Dark Orbit how it was, it brought so many good memories.
i started playing in the end of 2006 and it was awesome. many of the guys i played it back in the days, i'm still hanging out today. we talked about this game like 1 week ago. we all think that the game died in between 2010-2011. as many other people, we think, that the new client in 2010 was the beginning of the end. pay to win dominated this game since 2010(2011) and thats the sad reality. i did put like 10k euros into this game and i'm fine with it, but i'm really not fine with the evolution of it. i think this game had his prime in like 2008 and 2009. they lost so many players in 2010 and even more like me in 2011 they shoud bring back darkorbit like 2009. the old client was legendary and awesome. the months in 2010 where you could choose between the old and the new client were ok, so they should do that again in the end.. gameforge did a great job for years, but fucked up with pay 2 win (and you couldn't play this game without using money since 2010)
man u realise that 10k on a game like this , is the dumbest thing u could actually fucking do in ur life . I did pay some money too but it was like 600-700 euros not fuckin 10k man tf
I dumped a few grand into various accounts. This game is very much pay to win, albeit, if you’re like me you can build to FE in a few days time and build to UFE in a few weeks without a dollar spent.
I played in 2009 with Valkyries wrath and highlander and all the 300 clan. I went to BSGO throughout the 2010s. and then they got rid of BSGO and kept the pay to win darkorbit :(
My first two accs got hacked which was absolutely heartbreaking, someone then offered me their half UFE acc to play on which I built up to UFE until one day I tried to log in and the password was changed, I knew then that it was finally time to say good bye and I knew that if I started another account I’d continue being stuck in the money and time trap of this game. What an incredible game played by some incredible people, I’ll miss this game, played it since 2008 till around 2016, good fucking times man.
Incredible game, incredible memories. The feeling in the times of the old client to meet up in teamspeak with hundreds of people just to fck off the map of the enemys is unspeachable. The moments when it turns out the enemy is in ts and organize a group against us, using smartbombs to disrupt us and then there is a group of hundrets of enemy jumping at the same time throught the portal. Just a beginning of a multiple hour long fight of small groups across the entire map. One of the best memories in my life, of a simple but fun time. I stopped with release of LF4 and this other stuff. I started botting on multiple accounts to have fun with friends on this high equipped accounts but i never fight other players. I miss the people i played with. Most people get older, some people keep beeing young, some got childs, other moved to different countrys and some died, but in the end its life and we can be happy to share this experience. It doesnt matter if you are earth, venus or mars - i dont care... Keep your memories Peace from germany 🇩🇪❤️
Aside premium I manged to grind general without spending further money and botting in like 2011. Since then, the only players at the top are 24/7 bots because the game has been designed to fall down this rabbithole. Quit the game in 2013 and came back every few years to check out whats up, had a lot of good memories within the game. Sucks that it had to die eventually due to greed.
Bigpoint treated this game like a cash grab. I've seen so many people stop playing this game, seen many resort to cheating, and it's more versatile but harder for the newbies to come up
The Goliath ur using gives me vibes from back then ❤️ Rember getting full havoc for the first time.. I was so hyped after that monthly long grind to have all the drones red and a damage boost, shortly after one of my old friends scammed me off my account. Never to seen again. R.I.P. The$econdEpic

I played a lot this game on my teenager days(around 2012-2014), always free to play because yeah teenager in that ages means no money to buy elite equipment, when I was close to finally become FE then Dark orbit pulled out the pirate maps, the lf-4, the new ships (aegis, pusat vengeance, etc) the p.e.t. 10 and I was on the mid game again, I quitted for the second time in my life this game. Then it's 2017, I came back to give a check on the game health and see if it was dead enough to finally become an end game player when a ridiculously well armed player blows me off with two 200k laser bursts, meanwhile my friend who had curiosity for this game jumped in and started spending money to have goli with designs and lf3s and elite shields, in 1 week he catched up with my now 10-year old account (excepting the years I didn't play this is a 2 year old active account), made me rage quit again because of my p2win friend success and that dude blowing me off with that 200k damage. It's so sad the game from my childhood and teenager days has become what it is nowadays, they claim to make the game more tactical and with more skill needed to win battles, but in reality it's not, only people who paid a lot of money can prevail in this game and not be crushed in seconds by other veteran/p2win players. Zero balance, zero help to new players after they lose their pvp inmunity for being newbies, totally dissapointed to this day. That's why long ago I moved to other better games.
I played since the first client in 2008 and transitioned to the second client in 2009 i remember grinding hard searching for uri around the map just to buy vengeance but not for long my vengeance got killed by goli while doing missions then i lost it because i dont have uri to repair the ships then im back using bigboy it was in the middle of 2009 till i stop playing later that years man i really miss this game soo much i want to play it again 😢😢😢
i started in 2008 left in 2012 came back in 2017 left in 2018 the best ever times of this game in my opinion is 2008-2011 or 2012 miss my old friends miss everything this game is my childhod so much memories RIP DO just imagine if they dont put new updates in do and keep the old version only update events and maybe desing shipps and merge servers by time if game would have been the same as 2010 man this game would be the besttt the best
I played when I was a kid during the DO golden age back around 2008/9. I tried revisiting it again earlier this year in March and April and my god was that a mistake. I started a brand new game, and I told myself I'd try to keep playing for exactly one month, until the end of April, and I hit a point where it felt like a chore. It became a slog, and I started to want to just get the day's session over with. I also hit a point where I simply could no longer progress without spending a ridiculous amount of money. Once the month was over I was actually relieved that I could stop playing. I think the worst part is how drastically unbalanced it is towards new/free players. There were so many times I'd be trying to do some mission and out of absolutely nowhere some high tier player would pop out of invisibility and destroy me in about 3 seconds. There wasn't shit I could do. I had no defense against it. I couldn't run or hit back. I'd just die. It's so sad seeing how the devs killed this game I used to love as a kid. I tried coming back for nostalgia and walked away bitter and hateful towards something I used to enjoy.
It's not possible without paying or botting now. It's also not worth it since there's no one left to use your hard earned equipment on. It's sad that by the time i finally became able to properly enjoy this game, it died. I just wasn't up to it as a 12 year old from non english speaking country back then. Still the most fun i had in a game. Elite dangerous is a decent substitute.
did anyone managed to be in the map called "???" ? i remember this map as a legend full of uridium boxes back in the day but extremely unlikely to be there
Wow. I remember me and my sister playing this game back in 2006. We played a ton until 2009 then the new client was unplayable on our Macs making it so we couldn't play the game. To mu recollection bots didn't exist yet. This was also right around the time the Red Goliath had come out. I remember getting it in an auction for 1ep at 3am. Looks like I really missed some of the heyday fun of the 2010-13 era. Don't even remember my account credentials. I think I still had a Defcom, Bigboy, and that Red Goliath. Is it worth starting new again or is it that bad?
the problem is, you won't catch up with modern UFEs, there is a ton of things to make to raise your damage, and guess what, to get these things you either have to farm for months or pay to get them quickly. If in 2013 the max damage output was around 100k to 200k, now is beyond 500k-700k as shown in minute 12:19 and imagine how much time or money takes to reach to that point, so starting again is not that great idea unless you are willing to do it anyway
2009/10 was incredible, the memories of old wars and friendships i made but have sadly lost over the many many years. I went by the name CHAOTIC, i was a little shit teenager but I was a part of a solid group called OSA and then WAR (WE ARE RELENTLESS).. think it was back when UK1 was a server. Such a fun time in my teen years. Full Iris Goliath :D
Old 2010-2014 DO is gold. The must fun I ever had in a game. I remember the hours grinding aliens with my friends talking shit and all.... they ruined It.They should create like a "Darkorbit 2.0" and learn from their errors
People are upset in the comments but actually it's quite normal that a browser game from 2006 ends up stalling like that. People move on, the game gets old. That's it. If anyhting i think they've released a lot of content that offers interesting progression, even though it's tough
For me was peak game when they put Spectrum diminisher ecc The downhill started with pirates, pet, new gates etc. Too much maps, the game feel alweays empty. Before everybody was in x6 or x7 doing cubikon and kristallon. Much simpler to find people

Legit players turned to bots out of desperation. I just quit. As simple as it was, it was the most fun I ever had in a game.
it all went straight downhill after the lf4 released. 2010 was the best DarkOrbit in my opinion :)
2008 - 2010 was gorgeous :)
Greetings from an old space pilot at VRU, UK Server
2007-2011 best years of dark orbit..
best years, stop.
amazing years...
Damn, you still coming back here recalling the game? And you realize that even if you're eager to play it again you won't experience the same fun like 10-15 years ago
So many players, so much money, such a beautiful game, such a sad story....such a dark future..DARKORBIT
Ah crap, I wish we could all replay those amazing years in this game
Ein Spiel in nur 4 Jahren so zu verkacken ist hard aber Bugpoint kriegt echt alles hin. RIP old Times
2010. was 10 years old, played it the whole time with my older brother and even my dad in DE4. i loved it and i botted because i was darn poor and i wanted to have cool things as well. got banned for it and started in DE6 since the ban without botting and over the years a bit. its sad to see it pretty much dead.
Check out: war universe.
the game is already dead cuz devs was lazy greedy bastards and now is too late to save this game...
well p2w and that no 1 plays without bot
2008 to 2010 was the best moment of the game in my opinion
Yesterday i sold all my equipment to force myself to leave this game. 12 years playing, but this game as no sense anymore
2006 -> 2009 best years for me.
i started playing in 2010 until now. Everyday I just do the daily quest and done(easy uri). I also participate if there were events like trial and vortex of terrors. Proud F2P player
I recommend botting for easy uri. You won't get banned, now it's legal to use them.
I was a good player... I had good friends in this game. Happy to have played.
2010 memories never die
I played 2009 - 2012.. Good Memories...
Hurts to watch old DO videos because the nostalgia is insane, god I miss this game. Hope my original GB1 peeps are doing good
Was in the top 10 in US East 2. This game was my childhood
i started playing in the end of 2006 and it was awesome. many of the guys i played it back in the days, i'm still hanging out today. we talked about this game like 1 week ago. we all think that the game died in between 2010-2011. as many other people, we think, that the new client in 2010 was the beginning of the end. pay to win dominated this game since 2010(2011) and thats the sad reality.
i did put like 10k euros into this game and i'm fine with it, but i'm really not fine with the evolution of it.
i think this game had his prime in like 2008 and 2009. they lost so many players in 2010 and even more like me in 2011
they shoud bring back darkorbit like 2009. the old client was legendary and awesome. the months in 2010 where you could choose between the old and the new client were ok, so they should do that again
in the end.. gameforge did a great job for years, but fucked up with pay 2 win (and you couldn't play this game without using money since 2010)
man u realise that 10k on a game like this , is the dumbest thing u could actually fucking do in ur life . I did pay some money too but it was like 600-700 euros not fuckin 10k man tf
Check out: war universe
bruh imaging paying 10k on a game, that's like the savings of one year working...
I dumped a few grand into various accounts. This game is very much pay to win, albeit, if you’re like me you can build to FE in a few days time and build to UFE in a few weeks without a dollar spent.
I played in 2009 with Valkyries wrath and highlander and all the 300 clan. I went to BSGO throughout the 2010s. and then they got rid of BSGO and kept the pay to win darkorbit :(
Yeah, I just came to check what else Bugpoint were doing, and well... wtf. BSGO was so much better :(. So many fond memories...

It's 2021 and i still play this game
My first two accs got hacked which was absolutely heartbreaking, someone then offered me their half UFE acc to play on which I built up to UFE until one day I tried to log in and the password was changed, I knew then that it was finally time to say good bye and I knew that if I started another account I’d continue being stuck in the money and time trap of this game. What an incredible game played by some incredible people, I’ll miss this game, played it since 2008 till around 2016, good fucking times man.
all began to collapse when LF4 came out
Incredible game, incredible memories.
Keep your memories
Peace from germany 🇩🇪❤️

I miss this game sooooo much
2011 is when i started, this was a game i played hours on growing up lmao sucks how it went down
2006 had no drones
This game had potential. It could beat eve online. Greed killed it.
Started in 2009, still remember the old 2D style but 2011 style is also good, too bad the game isn't nearly as populated as it was.
2012 was the one that I played, It was beautiful and fun.
Same
One of the first Pay Per Win on the videogame history. I played from 2007 to 2010 i think...
2010 - 2012 my favourite, balanced damage, good events, not pay to win yet
Aside premium I manged to grind general without spending further money and botting in like 2011. Since then, the only players at the top are 24/7 bots because the game has been designed to fall down this rabbithole. Quit the game in 2013 and came back every few years to check out whats up, had a lot of good memories within the game. Sucks that it had to die eventually due to greed.
Bigpoint treated this game like a cash grab. I've seen so many people stop playing this game, seen many resort to cheating, and it's more versatile but harder for the newbies to come up
2006-2009 gold times
Man I miss the home invasions so much. The only reason I ever played this game.
The Goliath ur using gives me vibes from back then ❤️
Rember getting full havoc for the first time.. I was so hyped after that monthly long grind to have all the drones red and a damage boost, shortly after one of my old friends scammed me off my account. Never to seen again.

2007-2011 was my best time. Then the game were not fun anymore
2006-2012 or something then this game died
OLD DARK ORBIT ♥
Memories :(
I played since the first client in 2008 and transitioned to the second client in 2009 i remember grinding hard searching for uri around the map just to buy vengeance but not for long my vengeance got killed by goli while doing missions then i lost it because i dont have uri to repair the ships then im back using bigboy it was in the middle of 2009 till i stop playing later that years man i really miss this game soo much i want to play it again 😢😢😢
i started in 2008 left in 2012 came back in 2017 left in 2018 the best ever times of this game in my opinion is 2008-2011 or 2012 miss my old friends miss everything this game is my childhod so much memories RIP DO just imagine if they dont put new updates in do and keep the old version only update events and maybe desing shipps and merge servers by time if game would have been the same as 2010 man this game would be the besttt the best
The 2010 one Was the best game i have ever Played

old client was 🔥🔥🔥 the big goli design was scary then the second client they change everything in 2009 i stop play the game
It is getting better and better man. The problem with the lag is setled so is the problem with the bots.
the problem is, you won't catch up with modern UFEs, there is a ton of things to make to raise your damage, and guess what, to get these things you either have to farm for months or pay to get them quickly. If in 2013 the max damage output was around 100k to 200k, now is beyond 500k-700k as shown in minute 12:19 and imagine how much time or money takes to reach to that point, so starting again is not that great idea unless you are willing to do it anyway

People are upset in the comments but actually it's quite normal that a browser game from 2006 ends up stalling like that. People move on, the game gets old. That's it. If anyhting i think they've released a lot of content that offers interesting progression, even though it's tough
