- So this yard was so bad that it actually made the news in 2011. The headline actually said the neighbor felt his life was at risk, he was supposedly concerned about on coming traffic when pulling out of his driveway. We actually thought this yard was abandoned by the looks of it but found out the owner actually lives behind the house in a camper. So I took a stroll back to where he was staying, asked if we could take care of his yard for him and we found out he has been living there for over 20 years. So we decided to help them both out and get this yard back in decent shape, saving the owner from another potential snake bite (he had been bitten multiple times) and teaching the boys with another hard days work. I see so many people cutting grass and cleaning up so many houses like this. The more videos the more good people like you go out and help those in need or those homes abandoned. I wish some of the people with construction and plumbing would donate some time to help get some of these houses back to a live able state. If some of the roofing companies donated the left over materials or even saved them up to do one house a month with volunteers, it would make a huge difference. I am disabled and can not help physically. I do donate personal need items to those in need. Is what i can do to help those down on their luck. Wish there were more good people out there like you and your wonderful boys. Great JOB!

That is a great idea 😊 It seems everybody just stays in their lane and ignore the plight of others. BTW where is the local states with helping out with all of this as well as the local cities

I can't imagine being the type of neighbor that would complain like that instead of just going and getting it done. I might not be able to trim anymore, but as long as I can get my lawn tractor there I'll mow it. Thanks for all you do!
You don't know. I used to try to help out my neighbors when their weeds got to 3 feet tall. I was told no repeatedly. Then , one year he said ok. Next year I moved out, so that stopped.
@@impossibledrms I've done for several of my neighbors until they passed or sold and moved on. Did it for years. Still do whenever I see someone nearby I can get my mower too. I've even mowed city streets if they needed it.

It's a shame in deed. When you help others you are helping yourself. It makes you feel good about yourself and I am sure they wouldn't give a 2nd thought if you needed help if they were able. Give from your heart.
Some people don't want help. They prefer to be left alone.

You can't just assume but you need to ask if they would like help. It's because it's everyone for themselves now days. We don't even know who are neighbors are anymore. We need to engage and help each other. Now it's time!

Definitely sad. I believe he lost electricity in it years ago and it started getting snakes and rodents so it was more safe to stay in the trailer. Thank you!

Another great job! Aww, what a charming gentleman, there's nothing more endearing than a polite tip of the hat. Your bright smiles put one on my face. My grandfather always wore a hat and he would tip it often. He would also pull his car to the side of the road as a funeral passed, step out of the car and take his hat off and cover his heart. I was just a little girl, but felt so proud of him for those little gestures. Couldn't be prouder of you guys.

Great work.My only suggestion is that you want to invest in some bright safety vests when you work near traffic. Take care and good job teaching those boys a strong work ethic. Trust me, they will remember this with fond memories working with Dad.

Great job by you and your boys as usual.You must be very proud of them. They are going to become caring,compassionate,unselfish men.I was raised to help others and raised my 3 daughters and my son the same way.They in turn raised their kids the same way.They are teenagers now but always willing to help with anything even if not asked to.When they come to stay they always help with food prep and sometimes throw me out of the kitchen and cook the whole meal themselves.Then clean up after.(They say its because I’m old now which I deny…..I’m only 72 ☺️,and they should be waiting on me).
