Katy and, arguably, Justin have both made their impact on pop culture and music during their primes and they’ve become household names. There current eras flopping doesn’t automatically mean they’ve become irrelevant. Nick has never really made that much of an impact on me with his music (I couldn’t name a single song) but you can’t deny he is still famous, mostly among people who grew up with the Jonas Brothers. It’s just more of a nostalgia-fueled type of fame, rather than it actually being based on his music. Rita is actually very much relevant in many countries outside of the US. I’m aware she has yet to make her big break in the States. But she is very much a contemporary pop star in the UK and the Netherlands. You’re basing that one purely on the American view that it’s the only relevant country in the world.
