Yes the same with me I thought at first it was George speaking then realised it was David he was a good friend to George I bet they had so good laughs together over the years they knew each other just wish David could get the last documentary about George on the TV I would love to see it and so would many more fans who loved George like to see it thank you David for being a good friend to George he was lucky to have you in his corner RIP George miss you always xxxx
He is more than just a "good friend" - he was GM's manager and is in control of GM's "legacy" in that he, working with GM's estate, manage how GM's work, etc is put forth now that GM has died. This man is a true good friend to GM as is Andrew Ridgeley, neither doing anything for money as GM's previous partner Kenny Goss did who sued GM's family for money after GM died and also took money for interviews and sharing GM's private life with rupert murdoch owned media. I can't imagine how GM's family and friends felt about that disgraceful money grab.
Great interview. Thanks for uploading and thanks to David Austin. The Kirsty Young interview he's mentioned was fab, but what cholked me up is when he said how he'd finally got to the age of 53 and never thought he was good looking and then when he looked back he said, "god i was gorgeous" or words to that effect. I'm so glad that he finally saw it, i mean he was drop dead gorgeous and had a soul to match.
I was think of him saying that in that interview too, its sad he never realised it at the time, to me he was still hot in his 50s beautiful looking man inside and out and his speaking voice was also so sexy.
@@danielle912 David was drop dead gorgeous. Loved Turn to Gold. Used it for my dance exam.. How old is he married & if so who to & does he have kids? What is David doing now. And of course the late George Michael was gorgeous too
Thank you for sharing. Thank you to whomever recorded. Thank you Mr David Austin for your dedication to excellence! I eagerly await Freedom: Director's Cut
Yes he sounds exactly like George. Lol i actually thought it was him for a second until i realized they were talking about George and in the past tense. The title didn't ring a bell. He says his father was an instrument maker and I was like i don't remember this about George.
35 minutes and not one question (and answer) about if David will finally release for the fans all the unreleased concerts (Final, Faith, Cover to Cover) that we see footage in the film.....
i really would not hold my breath for anything to be released. George said himself that his 2009 tour footage would be the only "official " release from him , that no other shows would be released and with David knowing George's wishes, and being left in control of all the musical and business part of his will, i do not see it happening .
@@Whamegafan35 i agree, i would love to see all the material that they have and i am sure there are songs never released. like i said, i don't see it happening, but it would be so nice if David would do something for George's fans .
Gloria Jones I was looking at this on my cell phone and I actually thought it was George because the video was not too clear. Of course I knew it wasn’t him cause Davis was mentioning George’s name. lol
I don’t understand, did George leave his catalogue of music to David? I though his dad and sisters inherited everything? And I read some interview where it said David and George fell out and weren’t on speaking terms?
I think David is a great, respectful guy as a long time friend of GM, as his manager, and manager of his legacy - but, he is an awkward speaker, I find it challenging to get through this - GM spoke so smoothly and articulately so, I'm confused by some people confusing GM and David - Again, it might just me but he is just not a comfortable speaker.
The way Dave Austin speaking in his interview he’s trying to copy George Michael the way he talks it’s like Dave Austin doesn’t have his own personality so sad George was a great man
Just like listening to George speak. They are so similar. Almost like brothers. Big thanks to David Austin for this disclosure 👌

It was truly beautiful and will remain so for us until the end of time!
George was like a breath of fresh air, he was so amazing. I love him so much always.😋❤️💋

OMG!!! AMAZing interview

That’s my reaction exactly, lol!

Great interview David. George would be proud. The few times I met him in Kinsale he was a gentleman. Regards your cousin in Tipperary
He speaks just like George did...
They grew up in the same place.

Yeah that's really a major disappointment, re the Final footage. I was lucky to be there but many were not
Wnat year was this interview

It sounds as if George is speaking really strange
Exactly!

This is very strange.... speaking phrases are identical...

David has the legal right to manage GM's "legacy" so to speak including how his music, etc is marketed in future,
Ωραία φωνή... Τι λέει ποιος ξέρει... 💕

George est inimitable, la finesse et la singularité est complètement absente, bien essayé.

Uh uh?
Not George or David 🤬
It is David Austin... Why do you say "not David" ???
