My doctor flew to another city for Christmas break just hours before and I woke in transition. Spent about an hour on the toilet yelling for help while everyone else slept. Then woke my husband to call everyone. My water broke when I climbed in the truck and it was like a comedy with the sound and force, launching me into the back seat and giving me whiplash. At the time I forgot my water breaking naturally was supposed to be the sign that God was blessing me with a natural delivery, instead of a third surgery (I’ve never had my water break naturally). Hubby ran in to grab more towels and I somehow flipped over to get my underwear off and was yelling for him to stop 5 minutes down the road because it felt like baby was coming out. There was no pain after my water broke, just two bubbles, his head and body, as my body ejected him right onto the seat into the towel my husband had waiting. It was amazing and so healing! He did end up in the NICU 12 hours later for undiagnosed breathing issues, but I used past trauma knowledge to advocate for us both, especially since they prevented us from breastfeed for 12 hours due to it being a choking risk) and we found a homeopathic that got him treated and his breathing issues healed over the last 5 months. (Turned out to be some tuberculosis issues from ancestors that can cause DNA issues). We brought him home on Christmas Day.
I like to watch these to see how normal people act, because I was married to a narcissist psychopath for 33 years. It's like coming back to Earth after decades on Mars.
