I admire your courage. I also did a bit of job hopping, its the trick to double your salary in just a short span of time (1yr+ for each company) our journey are somewhat alike. I started as a full stack web developer on a start up company (only 4 of us were developers)… Fast forward… I transitioned to Cybersecurity, I just felt like I already conquered coding so I jump onto a new boat. But I still code from time to time. Its a passion. Good luck!

After graduating, I went straight to a semiconductor company where I was doing OJT. Thank you 😊 i hope you’ll do more and more vids pa ☺️
thank you so much!! To be honest, it will be considered a red flag "at first." But during the interview, you need to explain the reason why you are job-hopping and whether it is for salary or career improvement. If it is for career improvement, it will be justified by how you performed well during the interview :) you can do it if you're just starting you're career but mostly for seniors and lead or applying for bigger companies, I think it will be a disadvantage :)

It is interesting DyiDyi that you went from a startup to a large company as many do it the opposite way. It seems that you constantly like to challenge yourself by learning new skills and experiencing different environments. Whilst many do constantly develop their programming skillset, some take a step sideways and become project managers/leaders and eventually enter the corporate side of a larger company leaving the technical work behind them. Of course that only works for large companies

If it will help you grow as a developer, I should say go for it. as long as madami kang skills na matutunan, plus factor nalang ung better job offer.

Do i need to learn coding just to be in a UX design job? I got really bored with my graphic design job. Although im doing well i really get bored easily and no task is a challenge anymore
hmm I think at least the basic html , css, media queries. but not the whole coding process. what I've notice working with UI/UX designers is they understand the basics of creating designs in all scenarios. that involves using different devices (mobile to desktop), showing different kinds of success and errors displays and how easier it would be to transistion from one screen to another.
Aaa I'm looking for motivation too huhu nakita ko to but can i ask po? is it good parin po ba mag coding like they said kaya na daw gawin ni AI yung work natin?
goods padin ang coding, right now we use utilities like AI at mas nakakatulong sya na bilisan ung work namin. pero hindi nya parin talaga kaya icode ung isang system na very specific sa needs ng feature. so I think helpful ang AI pero hindi parin nya kayang palitan totally ang programmers :)
hello may future ka! alam mo ba I hate programming. di ako ung nag cocode samin sa mga projects nung college pero ending dito ko napunta haha. so don't worry, mas marami kang matutunan pag nag work ka na :) coding tips? build more projects, fail fast, then try again. walang ibang way para maging mahusay sa isang bagay kundi paulit ulit mo lang syang gawin at iexpose sarili mo sa field na yon :) saka don't be a perfectionist. pag feeling mo medyo na ooverwhelmed ka kasi ang daming pedeng gawin at iimprove sa code, inote mo lang muna. buoin muna ung high level flow ng software then saka iimprove ng paunti unti. then practice mo reverse engineering. ung tipong may buo na na system pero iinvestigate mo pano sya nabuild. be curious, always. promise, sobrang helpful din non lalo kapag nag dedebug ka ng code. tapos patience din. mauumay ka kakatest ng software pero at least masisigurado mo na nabuild mo sya ng maayos :) goodluck!!!
hi pooo! im currently a 2nd year student po, im curious po if mataas po ba yung current job market sa backend developer or devops po? because, i feel po na competitive din yung field na iyon and doubting myself if enough ba skills ko in the future 😦 anyone po may suggestion or recommendation what entry-level job and company should i look for? nodejs po inaaral ko and graphql currently, may basic knowledge din po ako sa mga auths like jwt po
wow as a 2nd year student ang laki na ng advantage mo promise! madaming demand sa backend as far as I can see it habang nag iiscroll ako sa linkedin lol. any skills is enough as long as you aim for 1% growth. don't feel pressured to be a "skilled" developer especially as a beginner. as long as curious ka on how to solve or create projects then nag iimprove ka talaga in the process, I'm sure di ka mauubusan ng opportunities kahit competitive pa ung field :) any company is good as long as mabibigay nila ung skills na gusto mong iimprove. :)
Hi can I ask you a question as a beginner, do you often feel like an imposter feel like you’re not good enough? I hope I can be like you, I really want to become a software engineer but I’m currently struggling with this feeling so bad
yes a lot! until now haha. I feel like whenever someone would ask me on how to explain stuff, I would not be able to answer it in a straight face because I really don't understand it fully. haha. I just try and try to solve the problem and it takes time for me to solve it unlike those programmers who are talented. don't worry, I don't think we are the only one who feel this way. but it is important to just focus on our skills because we always have something unique perspective and skills that we can bring to the team. :)
Hi, I don't have a college degree yet but I've been a call center agent for more than 5 yrs. now. I'm currently studying front end web deb starting with HTML and CSS, I want to switch in the IT Industry, do you think it is possible without a college degree but with certifications/enrolled through bootcamp, or do you suggest getting a degree in Computer studies?
I think it's possible, but it will be hard at first since you need to build credentials through certifications, boot camps, or freelance projects. I'm not sure if boot camp is a waste of money, but without a college degree, I think having both will be an advantage. I know one person who is an undergraduate of accountancy who enrolled in a bootcamp and is now working as a programmer. it will be hard but it is possible :)
Hello i' am curious did you receive any negative impacts from other companies because of the job hopping? I also planned to job hop for better opportunities but was not advised to because they do not hire those that do not last long or have the mindset of leaving the company. 😓
yes I have, especially if you are a senior already. but during the interview, you need to prove that "they need you" more than "you need them". be always ready to justify your reasons why you leave the company and to prove that you earned the skills that they need. :)
sa first job no, kasi nakadesktop. but sa third job, since nakalaptop, yes nagwowork outside of working hours even on weekends. tapos OT-TY nalang sya :( ang hirap mag file ng OT kapag ang reason e "inaaral ko pa" since junior palang. need mag adjust dahil ang taas ng learning curve. until today may times padin na nagwowork outside working hours pero di na kagaya dati. :)
I don't think so, at least in my case. I have experienced interviewing applicants before and what matters to me the most is 1. how passionate they are with coding (based on their attitude like problem solving skills. analytical skills) 2. what actions they did to be able to secure this programmer job (trainings, bootcamp) 3. and making sure that they will have longer stay in the company. technical skills can be trained but soft skills like good attitude towards work, communication and problem solving skills, are hard to find regardless of age ✨
as long as may proven skills at knowledge ka sa programming, Tanggap ka agad.

what I've notice working with UI/UX designers is they understand the basics of creating designs in all scenarios. that involves using different devices (mobile to desktop), showing different kinds of success and errors displays and how easier it would be to transistion from one screen to another.
Hello any coding tips? I'm having a hard time with programming po kasi naiisip ko tuloy kung may future paba ako sa course nato (bs it)😔
goodluck!!!
hi pooo! im currently a 2nd year student po, im curious po if mataas po ba yung current job market sa backend developer or devops po? because, i feel po na competitive din yung field na iyon and doubting myself if enough ba skills ko in the future 😦
anyone po may suggestion or recommendation what entry-level job and company should i look for? nodejs po inaaral ko and graphql currently, may basic knowledge din po ako sa mga auths like jwt po
wow as a 2nd year student ang laki na ng advantage mo promise! madaming demand sa backend as far as I can see it habang nag iiscroll ako sa linkedin lol.
any skills is enough as long as you aim for 1% growth. don't feel pressured to be a "skilled" developer especially as a beginner. as long as curious ka on how to solve or create projects then nag iimprove ka talaga in the process, I'm sure di ka mauubusan ng opportunities kahit competitive pa ung field :)
any company is good as long as mabibigay nila ung skills na gusto mong iimprove. :)
thankyousomuch pooo^ ^
kudos
Hi, I don't have a college degree yet but I've been a call center agent for more than 5 yrs. now. I'm currently studying front end web deb starting with HTML and CSS, I want to switch in the IT Industry, do you think it is possible without a college degree but with certifications/enrolled through bootcamp, or do you suggest getting a degree in Computer studies?
dont waste your money on bootcamps but certifications like CCNA can get you somewhere tho
@@bswill5077 thanks for the advice
@@dyidyii Thank youuuu
Hello i' am curious did you receive any negative impacts from other companies because of the job hopping? I also planned to job hop for better opportunities but was not advised to because they do not hire those that do not last long or have the mindset of leaving the company. 😓
yes I have, especially if you are a senior already. but during the interview, you need to prove that "they need you" more than "you need them". be always ready to justify your reasons why you leave the company and to prove that you earned the skills that they need. :)
😍
sana all kamusta po?
I hope i can be like you someday. I hope it's reality not in my dreams 😂

Coool
Nung nag iistart palang po kayo, do you code outside working hours?
sa first job no, kasi nakadesktop. but sa third job, since nakalaptop, yes nagwowork outside of working hours even on weekends. tapos OT-TY nalang sya :( ang hirap mag file ng OT kapag ang reason e "inaaral ko pa" since junior palang. need mag adjust dahil ang taas ng learning curve.
my dream is to live alone

wish i can live alone and code code code.
200k salary oh my gulay.
haha nope! pero kaya mo yan soon :)
@@dyidyii nag 2nd course na ako civil engr. Baka in the future e mix ko nalang 😂
May i know the model of your laptop, ate?
@@dyidyii Thank you so much, ate :)) You will be better and will have peace of mind. :))
Grabe naman yung nagmumura na yon! 😂
salbahe no hahahhaha
Hi.... do you think age is a factor on landing a job as an entry level programmer? Thanks
I don't think so, at least in my case.
I have experienced interviewing applicants before and what matters to me the most is
1. how passionate they are with coding (based on their attitude like problem solving skills. analytical skills)
2. what actions they did to be able to secure this programmer job (trainings, bootcamp)
3. and making sure that they will have longer stay in the company.
technical skills can be trained but soft skills like good attitude towards work, communication and problem solving skills, are hard to find regardless of age ✨
@dyidyii thank you 😄
as long as may proven skills at knowledge ka sa programming, Tanggap ka agad.
