This is so true. It's very much near impossible to know precisely if your or someone's feelings are real. Doesn't even relate to the trust you place on the person when you know you can even lie to yourself into believing you do feel such things, therefore it's impossible for you to tell yourself or anyone that you're not really in love. Yeah...even when he was an AI I still reconized him as a person
I love how he never goes for the low-hanging fruit of "pfft, movie magic isn't possible," he explains how it could exist, why it would exist, and/or in what way it exists today.
This dude radiates such happiness. Honestly enjoyed watching him just casually talk about something he enjoys. I wish this dude the best and hope he's chillin in life.
"Wall-E has to figure out what's interesting."
_cuts to Wall-E putting a bra on his eyes_
Mabra woah
well... that _is_ interesting!
Trust me, *its for science*
When he took out the baymax plushy I squealed!!!! He’s sooo adorable
FUN FACT: Chris Atkeson is one of 12 autonomous humanoid AI robots in existence today.
His function to mimic human charm is highly sophisticated compared to the other 11.
He is actually Baymax with an android skin. He left his role as a medical assistant to become a robotics professor so he can follow the footprints of his late father who died in a fire.
He looks so happy even with his resting face 🥰
Robotic Expert: "You can't kill someone with a pool toy"
John Wick: Hold my pencil
It's SO COOL to hear that he was one of the people who directly inspired Baymax!
9:44 Oh my heart.... Bless this man.
The best part is that he plays these videos in class I take and discusses the comments on this video 😂
I wish i had this guy as a teacher... for anything..
Oh really?! That’s awesome haha *waves to professor*
@@stargirl7646 duuude.
You're a lucky guy!
This guy really transmits an impressive passion with each word, I identify a lot with his way of observing the problems and characteristics of the different types of robots and artificial intelligences.
8:10 "You can't kill someone with a pool toy"
I wanna see John Wick do that
chris: You can't kill someone with a pool toy
Jonh Wick: hold my pool toy
GraphicGore that’s counter intuitive
Also he didn’t specify the pool toy, there are PLENTY of pool toys you could kill someone with if you tried hard enough
@@gyzardo3648 pool noodles would be pretty easy, come to think of it
choke em?
"You can't kill someone with a pool toy"
Me:"Give me a pool toy and watch" 😂
The moment this man took out the baymax doll, I wanted to hug him
He looks so chill and happy all the time.
the video: about robots
the comments: mostly about Chris.
Me:watches the first 10 secs
Also me: He has the kindest and cheerful face I've ever seen and the comment section is already glowing.
This is exactly the kind of person who I would imagine could build a friendly robot nurse.
“I don’t know if someone loves me, i just have to go on whether they act like they love me.”
Westworld: "If you can't tell the difference, does it really matter?"
Indeed 😂😂
But the writers ruined it.
I can tell how much he loves his job and robots in general, he’s got a great smile and enthusiasm for it. Honestly, it’s quite infectious. Thanks for the video! 😁
I wish this outstanding human being a long life because he already mastered the happy part.
I maybe wrong, but Baymax didn't scan him chemically, he just has access to his medical records.
He did say they wanted to show here that Baymax could scan patients even to his chemical aspects
@@isabeldrilon While that may be the case, this seems to be more of a Medical Record thing.
@@maloc1824 he might possibly create his own medical analysis and update his patient's records
If that was the case then baymax couldn't have figured out that hiro was allergic to peanuts. Although I do agree that medical records is far more possible irl. It could also be a combination of both medical records and then making decisions based off of other data. Then what you said might be possible. Just my thoughts
You can scan for chemicals, but you cant scan chemically lol. Otherwise doctors could save soooo much time, also my forearms wouldnt bruise everytime i did a blood test lol.
Just looking at his face decreases my anxiety.
This dude seems like he's such a delight to talk to. He strikes me as the kind of guy that you could talk to about anything. Not like a "Not so fresh down there" kind of conversation but more so that you can talk to him about anything, and he would still smile and nod and take pleasure in your passion on the subject even if he has no idea what you're talking about. Or that he would get real excited if you start a conversation with "This is probably a dumb question but..."
This guy is by far the best guest in this series. He’s infectious and an absolute pleasure to watch. Please bring him back for part 3! Or even just bring him on for a guest lecture of his choice! I could watch him for hours.
This is the grandpa I always wanted.
This man is absolutely adorable. He seems so sweet and happy. I just want to hug him! ❤️
Chris look like a Disney character, a jolly one
Oh his a jolly good fello, his a jolly good fello....
I spent this entire video smiling. This guy is just so happy and it's infectious. So is COVID-19 stay indoors people
This guy is like the teacher who actually loves their job and is really good at his because he is good at talking about it and teaching it
2:50 "robots don't talk to each other"
Alexa vs Google vs Siri, just reminding
You made me laugh, good joke.
They're not robots really
@@julian5857 this comment is obviously a joke but we obviously computers don't need to talk in human language. Alexa and others like it do that for our convenience, when you ask Alexa for weather reports, she doesn't say hey Google search up the weather results, there code for that and computer programs exchange that code (information) there dont have to use English or any other language we understand. But yes communication is a requirement for any exchange of information.
@@ezrascarlet5935 but in the star wars universe they absolutely would have to speak to each other as each droid is individually programmed and they dont share any networks; hence, R2 had to deliver a physical drive to obiwan containing the holomessage bc the movies were made prior to public knowledge of the internet since it was still DARPAnet and a defense project
@@CrowGamingVideos the whole point of the video is; this is how it works in reality vs movies, cause in movies I can make up whatever ever rules I want. you had interstellar space-time travel in star wars but still required a droid act as a physical to Obi-Wan in person doesn't = not having networks that the droids can communicate over in the star was the universe. And also we are comparing droids speaking to other droids why are you referencing a droid talking to a human? cause the droid would need to give the information to a human in a way they understand. machines have compilers that can break down individual programmed source code into universal machine language. so what language you make a machine is irrelevant, because with the right compiler it turns into 0's and 1's.
