    Frequently Asked questions:
-Will Hannah get her Trach out? Yes
-Questions about their dad(aka DB): Watch • Video Please don't ask for more details.
    - Where is Hailey when you don't have a night nurse or go to the hospital?
Hailey is always either with grandma or a friend when we don't have a night nurse and go to the hospital. The reason for that is to make things easier on all of us. No one would bring their whole family to emerg if they didn't have to. Having her stay with someone else when we don't have a night nurse just takes off extra stress. She always enjoys her stays with them!

Wow...poor baby! I need to watch this every evening before I put my son to bed. So often moms take for granted how lucky we are to have a healthy child. I need to stop complaining because my almost 3yo still wakes up several times thru the night for whatever reason he does...idk why!
You keep up the good work supermom!

I found your channel because of an ad here on youtube. I spent 2 days binge watching all your videos. I'm 18 years old and live in BC as well. You are such a strong, Beautiful, loving mother and I thoroughly enjoy seeing the videos you put up. I love you, and I love your little girls.

I can't imagine doing all that during the night when I should be sleeping. You're amazing! Also I thought it was crazy how Hannah just stays asleep through all that. Madison would wake right up, but I guess Hannah is just used to it. By the way, I messaged you on here, check your messages!

Wow awesome video! I have watched your channel for over a year now and had no clue you made this video, it just popped up..... I am a home health pediatric night nurse and this pretty much sums up my nights, some pediatrics more critical than others... and then I get home in the AM and send my older ones off to school, stay up all day with my 16 month old, while doing domestic house wife duties....I'm lucky to get 2 hrs of sleep in a day:( ..I love that you have a nice, comfortable set up for your nurses, that really means a lot to us, you'd be surprised how many families that don't even provide a chair lol

    • @msbonnieharris
      @msbonnieharris  8 лет назад +1

+Natasha Ibarra omg that sounds brutal!! You'd be surprised how many nurses expect more and complain :| ohh man.. but ya I've heard of houses like that. I tried to make it as good as possible for them while it still being my home and not all about them haha

I am a pediatric home health RN and I have the privilege of working with similar patients as Hannah. I just so happen to be passing extra time on my night shift and wanted a parents perspective on caring for a child with a trach/vent so I thought I'd see what youtube had to offer. Well....turns out that I have spend most my night watching tons of your video's and I am thrilled to show your story to the families I work with and other training nurses! Also, I just think you should know the incredible amount of strength you have to be raising twins as a single Mom, and one with special needs! Even with the nursing care, I understand how much energy it takes to complete every little task every single day, day in, day out! I hope you have a great support system and are able to get some actual time for yourself...(not work, that doesn't count :) Best wishes to you and both your girls! Looking forward to updates!

I'm Praying for you and your children and for your continued strength.

The people who allocate funding for nursing hours and hire nurses need to see this so they can get an idea of how complex this is. There is a lot at stake if things aren't done properly. I just don't see how it can be safe to care for her all night and then all day too. I know your love for your kids lets you soldier on, but You guys are always in my prayers.

That is so much to keep up with! I think this kind of thing gets stored in a special part of the mommy brain. My daughter had a g-tube and everyone was always surprised at how I kept up with all her feeding info, etc., but it's just what you do when you have a child with extra needs. You are such a strong, wonderful mom. Props to you!
Your binder is so detailed! Did you develop it yourself or is it something the nursing company provides?

How often did this occur that you would not have a night nurse? I am an RN myself, and you are doing such a wonderful job with your girls! Hannah is so sweet. It must have been hard for her to get a restful nights sleep with all the (necessary) interruptions (suctioning, meds, vomiting, feeds, diaper changes etc). Once she became more stable and did not need night care, was it hard for her to sleep through the night since she was used to waking up so much?

Hi, this is the first video I've seen on your channel. Is Hannah special needs? A lot of the stuff you do in this video I do with my aunts and uncles who are adopted special needs kids/adults. FYI, if you put a small amount of Listerine in the bottom of the suctioner, it helps with keeping down any odors and also helps keep it disinfected

Wow Bonnie!!! OMG, that is amazing, all that work! I have found you through the YTMM but haven't seen all your videos yet. And how well does she sleep, with all that going on?! That's great she's able to rest through it for the most part. How many nights do the night nurses come for? Every single night?... Is it subsidised by the government or does your family have to find the money for it?... It looks mighty exhausting and makes me thankful for my mostly healthy babies. You're a very strong mum xo

She sleeps pretty good.. shes use to it
Right now we have 7 nights a week nurses and 4 day shifts.. its all paid through the government because its needed or she would have to live in the hospital
      Thanks!

Understand, as i said, haven't caught up on the full story (and i'm from Australia so i'm not sure of what help you would and wouldn't get). I'm glad the help is sorted through the governement, as you said it allows her to be with the family :)... Still a crazy amount of work to do, you guys are amazing!
