Seeing Drew reacting to Norway.exe made me realize how little people learn about most countries. Countries like Germany and Russia get all the coverage, while «less important» countries get little to no coverage on their history as a whole.
As Americans we see countries like Sweden as insignificant and irrelevant countries that have played no major roles on the world stage. Countries we do learn about are obviously going to be our neighbors. As well as civilizations starting in the fertile crescent like Mesopotamia then going west through history to the near east, the Levant and Egypt, then to ancient greece, then to the ancient romans then further west to Spain, France and England, then further west to the new world. (Each section being there own era with their events) Then it brings us to today where it ties in to modern China, and Russia. The only thing we learn if teachers decide to bring it up are the vikings buy even then they mostly skip it. (And honestly we don't even learn about Germany, most of the German stuff we do learn is starting around the 1800s during the Napoleonic Wars , anything before that is stuff like teutorburg forest, and a few key events from the time of the hre, thats it)
@@skatingfreak1670 we learn exactly like you in France except we focus on France. I mean, why would you focus on other countries ? You learn about the history of North America right ?
