same thing happened to haru on the show before. people got used to seeing her as mature and well-behaved so the moment she acts like a child, they get judgemental

Seungjae loves both his parents but it is pretty evident he gets jealous/competitive when his mum displays any sign of affection for Jiyong. Oedipal/electra complex is quite natural at this age especially for young children who have a close and insular attachment to one parent and expect all the love to be exclusively centered on them. The intensity should alleviate eventually as the child grows older and his/her social circle grows wider.

That is what I felt on why he was upset, the way the child looks at his mother says it all. But the mother also seems to be super talented.

He still go with his mum to buy birthday surprise for his dad. To me, he is the best that ROS have included. The others beside Sian is boring. Parenting is wat jiyong n his Wife is doing n not just eating, milking and wasting time . Seungjae is still to me v v kind hearted, empathy for insects, animals and elders.
