I always loved the fact that House didn’t fire the spud launcher at him when the kid was taking verbal shots (pun intended) , but the first mention of 13 and he snapped.
However badly House treats his team, behind their back he is always so protective of them and never thows them under the bus. That's the side that people should have seen, but only Wilson ever did.
Yeah well, if they see that side of him then they won't be able to do their jobs correctly. In matters of life an death there should be no coddling. House, of course takes it to the extreme but the line between subordinate and superior should always be defined clearly. Foreman and Thirteen forgot that and a lot of things got fucked up because of it. So did House and Cuddy and that turned out spectacularly. Point is House can't let his interns recognise him as human because then they would make mistakes.
Everyone saw it in one form or another, and I think everyone except Foreman at least suspected it. Cameron and Chase were definitely cognizant of it, and it's fairly obvious from their interactions. Thirteen was the one that probably got the least of his jokes though, and his relatively rare anger at her was genuinely for her failings than to make some grand point. Even Amber I think understood who House really was deep down, and it was her particular brand of brilliance that she knew to never really call him out on it, but to play the game in a similar way to him. That's what I really like with House, as a character, is that he has this immense depth of passion and caring but that he cannot control it. His sarcasm is as much him and his complex, as it is a sort of defense mechanism. Stacy, Cameron, and Dominika (might have misspelled that) love him because they see that and have access to it, in a way, and why they become such a focal point at their relevant times.
This whole episode was great. House and Thirteen had a very strange and special relationship towards the end of the show. Both were so fucked up, they got along well.
A man thinks House did care about 13, in the end episode, he cut her loose, told her to go enjoy her life. 13 was a much more interesting character than that earlier eye candy that Chase fell for.
Valtteri, totally agree. The high point, for me, was at the beginning, when House was waiting for her in the parking lot upon her release. I forget to breathe when I rewatch that.

@@Droooooo0 in a way it was. Although house is a cold man, deep down the team is more than likely his "family". So he cares for them and he shot Harold in defense of 13. Harold was just talking too much and House wasnt gonna let it slide.
This show is on another level. The actors/actress' are so deep into their character all you see is that character, their life stories, which then hit you on a personal and/or existential level.
I do love the connection these two have. I still wonder if he shot the guy because he was talking bad about thirteen and mentioned on trying to hit on her. I think he cares so much for her that he was even willing to be thrown out of his beloved contest thinghi just to be teaching this guy a lesson on being this respectful on thirteen. Also... What he said in my opinion is stronger than to tell someone "I love you". Thirteen even completely opens to him and he even managed to crack through her defensive shell and I think the fact that she does this and even waited for a response (from HIM) but he was actually so shocked that he was simply out of words. I think "I will kill you" is the greatest and most romantic thing that House ever told someone. And I think House might also be the only one she ever completely opened to with ALL of her fears and emotions.
Love that spud gun 13 made. It looks like something out of sci-fi movie. It doesn't look like something to fire potatoes, it looks like something to fire energy blasts.
I like how the pistol grip on Harold's spud gun is in front of the trigger, making no sense lol. I also like how when 13 joked about sleeping with him to get him to throw the contest, House stopped and seriously considered it as an option because he wants to win that badly lol.
House loved 13 so much. Its pbbly the person he loved the most in the show. I just wish there were a father daughter scene with 13 hugging house telling him he has been like a father to her. She is like the daughter he always wanted or like the female friend he needs to protect.
Love the "Bandito Shoulder Belt" filled with potatoes (instead of bullets). It is hard to believe that actor Hugh Laurie/House is British because his American accent, vernacular, mannerisms, and his ease and comfort with the use of them are so real. Also is evidence that there are great writers on the show.
I love how it’s never questioned that house has a teenaged rival nor that he’d shoot a child with a spud gun. Fantastic character writing.

House ran out of ideas of how to scary his enemy😂😂😂
Yo harold beat house so much he had to resort to shooting him
@Cody Mullen I mean they both took part in the trash talk, it was spud gun contest banter, plus he's a teenager. The shooting was unjustified.
@@Droooooo0 he didn't shoot Harold for himself. He shot him for 13.
@@Droooooo0 Well now Harold will know to taunt a man holding a lethal weapon. That lesson will go a long way
@@Droooooo0 in a way it was. Although house is a cold man, deep down the team is more than likely his "family". So he cares for them and he shot Harold in defense of 13. Harold was just talking too much and House wasnt gonna let it slide.
U couldn't cut it 4 seconds sooner?
I rather they cut it about 3 hours later.
You couldn't stop watching 4 seconds sooner?
Yeah coz now I have to watch the entire show
Harold Lamb has very large nostrils.
Doesn't stop him from being cool
@@bappojujubes981 Are you kidding me with air intakes like that it only helps keep him cool.
@Char Char Binks Uh no. Not if you pay attention to ALL surnames, not just the English ones.
Dwight Schrute would be jealous of him
This show is on another level. The actors/actress' are so deep into their character all you see is that character, their life stories, which then hit you on a personal and/or existential level.
Hats off to the esteemed Dr. Remi Hadley.
JUSTIN CHON??
You don't wake up in the middle of the night & cry over a dead stranger.
Never met me then
*Olivia Wilde is the peak of human beauty.*
House's jacket is a Belstaff - only the cool kids get to wear them - a nice touch that 99% of you will have missed.
Ah when justice comes with no consequences
How is that a justice exactly...
Isn't that just vengeance? Or revenge with extra steps
M Fawwaz N JUSTICE!
This whole thing between House and that kid was so pointless. I love it! 😄
it's better than a war of espionage costing thousands of lives and billions of dollars
Yes, Olivia Wilde is such an absolute Babe..
V-Rex Dood that was awful...
V-Rex not much but it's a step in the right direction..
Love that spud gun 13 made. It looks like something out of sci-fi movie. It doesn't look like something to fire potatoes, it looks like something to fire energy blasts.
I'll just do him and get him to throw the contest
Would you do that?
The instant the kid said "You wouldn't", he sealed his fate. At the very least you're getting kneecapped.
"Officer, get down here, a man has been assaulted with a potato"
3:43 *BOOM* 😄😄😄 And 13's cute little "Nope" as she realised what went wrong! Comedy gold! 😁
They should've made a bonnie and clyde type show with these two.
TOMBSTONE: Killed by a potato.
Thirteen is so incredibly beautiful! She has got such a perfect bone structure!
So does Sophie Lynx. 😉
@@davidbolha thank you
@@icedwhitechocolatemochafra9851 Megan Fox too has a pr0n double - Megan Rain. 😄
I’ve the hots for Olivia Wilde
I like how the pistol grip on Harold's spud gun is in front of the trigger, making no sense lol. I also like how when 13 joked about sleeping with him to get him to throw the contest, House stopped and seriously considered it as an option because he wants to win that badly lol.
House loved 13 so much. Its pbbly the person he loved the most in the show. I just wish there were a father daughter scene with 13 hugging house telling him he has been like a father to her. She is like the daughter he always wanted or like the female friend he needs to protect.
Everything is fun and game until someone get killed by a potato cannon.
"You wouldn't."
For Thirteen? For anyone on his team, he would.
"she killed a man"
*she then proceeds to fall on the ground*
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The irony is that she did kill a man but he did not know it.
@@hadracks She had told him, not The "Who, How, or Why"
13 presents, to me, as the love child of House and Wilson. I think that's why the relationship was so good between them
Confirming that Thirteen is basically House's daughter.
I can't believe I've only just noticed Harold is wearing a bandoleer full of spuds.
4:16 SHE LOOKED AT ME SHE LOOKED AT ME
Her eyes are incredible
Olivia Wilde is so gorgeous. She's perfect, she's really a goddess!
I crack up every time she shoots the window in the truck😂😂😂😂😂
The dramatic blowing of the wind when they meet. Ha ha ha ha!🤣
“You look good, I like that jacket on you”
The fact that he called her Kaczynski when she asked where the fertilizer was 😂 perfect unibomber reference.
Of all those who have been on the team, thirteen was House's favorite.
