All I can say is this SNAFU. This year’s Olympic Games showed the world how corrupt, evil, and demonic these games have become. It was just pure luck that Team USA escaped defeat from Team France because had Team France shot a 3-point, the game would have gone into overtime and with the momentum in favor of Team France there is a big chance of Team France beating Team USA as TF has fresher, faster legs because of its young roster and shooting superbly in rainbow country.

Exactly. They already lost to a better team. It's a gold with an asterisk. The expectation was gold. They got the job done with luck.
What they needed to do was market the shit out of Angel and CC because their damn playoffs and chip are in the next 2 months. Get some eyes on their league and bring in global fans. And then they will continue to blame everyone but themselves when nobody tunes in watching their playoffs and chip game.

The disgust which new viewers of the WNBA, brought in by Caitlin Clark, feel towards the old timers on the Olympic team...is indescribable. The legacies of people like Taurasi, for us the new viewers, are forever tainted. She will be, to us, forever the worn out old lady who refused to stand down and let Caitlin Clark get what Taurasi herself got 20 years ago---a chance to play in the Olympics in her rookie year. For that alone, Taurasi's character is stained for all time. What a nasty old timer, who should have quit while she was ahead. It makes a lot of us sick even to hear her name. And all the rest of the old guard huddling around her and defending this year's Olympic selection---just a bunch of old hacks more interested in covering each other's asses than in fielding the most REPRESENTATIVE Olympic team possible. The U.S. team did not WIN that Gold, France lost it, by a couple inches when Gabby's foot slipped forward. In overtime, the worn out old ladies on the U.S. team would never have kept up with the French team's hustle. No way. Pffft.

It isn’t what is is. It’s not just the United States fans that were upset. It was the world that wanted to see the greatest college players to step on the court. It’s shameful that the world did not get a chance to see who will be without question one of the greats if not the greatest player in the WNBA. It was a snub by the WNBA over jealousy & a snub to the entire world not allowing Clark to play. With Clark there arenas would have been sold out and vendors would have made more money they’ve ever had selling just jerseys alone! Jealousy is a destructive powerful shameful emotion that reflects the league who has never made any money in the entire history of the league. First time I’ve ever watched a women’s basketball game and wasn’t disappointed as Clark dropped 40 on LSU. And let Reese know where she can put that finger now who’s rebounding is equal to her missed shots-from under the basket. If she wants to talk the talk she needs to try practicing to improve her 3 ft range! & walk the walk A one dimensional player who’s the most jealous of them all! From what I've seen, the only reasonable explanation is this: 1) Caitlin is a great point guard who has been groomed to direct the offense, and she obviously can direct the offense, but only if her teammates are willing to submit to it; and, 2) you have a bunch of older veterans who resent the fact that they had to come up the hard way, Caitlin's a rookie, and Caitlin's getting paid more than them with her endorsements, etc., which creates friction if not animosity from the older players, and the coaching staff already had enough to deal with - they did not want to manage that issue along with all the others. It's a natural human reaction which in a way constitutes incredible respect for Caitlin. She will have her own multiple gold medals, on that we can rest assured, but I can see why she wasn't chosen. It wasn't fair, but that's life, and I think it's being blown out of proportion by the media for its own self-interest.

Had they lost, the Caitlin Clark issue would have been even more controversial. I think Clark should have been on the team and Diana Taurasi should have been left home. Taurasi's poor Olympic play confirmed it. Taurasi has had a Hall of Fame career but her time has come. Besides, she already has multiple Olympic Gold Medals. Caitlin Clark should have been on the team. Angel Reese should also have been on the Olympic team.

DT is still a good player even at 42. I think she paid her dues, and this Olympics was a way to thank her for her service. She now has 5 Gold Medals. That's hard to do for any Olympian. I don't feel bad for Caitlin. I feel sad for the WNBA, which kind of shot itself in the foot in terms of having a golden opportunity [pun intended] of taking their league to the rest of the world on the biggest stage. Caitlin is just getting started, and I don't see how she won't be one of the greatest GOAT of the WNBA. She's our Golden Girl, for sure. I'm not sure she'll be able to last as long as the original iron-maiden Diana T and get 5 Gold Medals because the rest of the planet is starting to catch up slowly but surely. And THAT is actually a good thing for competition and good for getting world-wide attention for the women's game. EVERYBODY will want to see Caitlin light up the nets from the logo! Now that the Olympic Games have ended, we can relax and ride the Caitlin wave for a few more seasons, and pray to God that she doesn't ever have a debilitating injury. She's tough and I think she's also physically durable, as she is also proficient in several sports. No more Taurasi-bashing, OK. Just a whole lot of Caitlin Fan Fever [see how I did that]!
