Hi Quackerjack, unfortunately we're not familiar with the Nalgene bottle so I can't give you a very good answer regarding that brand. I've inspected the Dan's Dog Days Vest and it appears that it's designed for a more conventional water bottle and the bottles of water that are approximately 16 oz that you would find in most convenience stores.
