Gangrels was great and The Brood had one of the best entrances of all time. I hate when wrestlers use a generic rock song or generic song in general. A theme song can elevate or make an individual/tag/moment or equally ruin it. The glass breaking before Austin comes out and the Undertakers gong still give me goosebumps every time I hear them.
Jim Johnson is as much a legend as anyone who came through WWE whos considered a legend! He was treated like how Bret Hart Said wrestlers were treated like pieces of meat, hung out to dry and just get rid of them when ur done using them
Ruthless aggression era had the best themes...Edge, Triple H, Batista, Kane, Christian, Randy Orton, Cena, Brock, Benoit, Jericho and Punk all had bangers!!
The Steve Blackman theme that Paul liked actually is a public domain song. Other way around though, they originally used it for a pay per view theme, then gave it to Blackman. They changed Blackman's theme around a time where it seemed that WWE were trying to purge the public domain themes. A theory being that it was because of the songs being used in some other films and people noticing. It's actually not so uncommon to see fans with stories like, "So I was watching this.. adult film, and business is about to pick up, when all of the sudden, Cactus Jack's theme starts playing." And I personally remember hearing a few themes on TV shows back in the day. One I can remember off the top of my head was on one of the pawn shows. Someone brings in this sweet ride, and they show it off in a little montage with Hardcore Holly's theme playing.
I assume this was the case with the Hardy Boyz theme too? Hence why they're allowed to use it on AEW? I also recall an old 1998 Stone Cold vcr which played the Hardyz theme in the background during clips where SCSA was talking.
@@siegfriedc2332 Yeah Hardy Boys theme and Hardcore Holly's theme were public domain. I heard theme as background for the previous days scores on ESPN. I remember it was either NFL or MLB games showing scores and hearing Bob Holly's theme. I think they ended up changing the Hardy Boyz theme a bit after the music was used by ESPN.
I liked the theme song Dan Severn used when he debuted on RAW,this one was slower and had a menacing sound to it prior to the one that's used on WWF Attitude video game for Dr.Death Steve Williams.
At least it was never as bad as WCW, where they just gave everyone (besides nWo members) legally distinct rip-offs of popular songs of the day. Or legally distinct rip-offs of their old WWF entrance songs in the case of guys like Terrance "Hulk Hogan" Bollea, "Macho Man" Randall "Savage" Poffo, and Bret "Hitman" Hart (or as ring announcer Michael Buffer calls him "Bret 'Hitman' Clark"), lol!
@@sofaninja0552 Huh? Randall Savage is Randy Savage's real name and Bret Hart is Bret Hart's real name. *[Edit: Wait, I forgot that Randy's real surname was "Poffo" not Savage lol]*
@@dildonius yeah I was speaking of poffo....imagine is Savage was his real last name. What cournty of origin would that name be from the Eternal Empire of Awesome. Where the head Families have names Like Savage Steel and Thunderpunch lol
@@sofaninja0552 Well Savage IS a real surname. There ARE people out there with the last name "Savage." One of the co-hosts of _MythBusters_ is named Adam Savage. There's actor named Fred Savage who became famous as a child in the 1980s for starring in a sitcom called _The Wonder Years._ And one of the teachers at my old high school had the last name Savage. The name originates from early-medieval England, during the time when The Normans ruled Britain. It derives from the Middle English & Old French words (as the Normans were from Normandy, which is in France) "salvage & sauvage" meaning wild, uncontrolled...or, y'know, _savage._ Also an interesting thing to note about the "Savage" surname (and The Norman Conquest of Britain) is that in 1085, the first Norman King of England - King William I - ordered the creation of what was essentially a medieval version of the modern US Census in order to take stock of the country he'd just conquered - sending people all over Britain to compile a list of all the citizens living there at the time, what they all did for a living, and all sorts of other shit like the number of livestock at each farm. It was completed in 1086 and would eventually became known as "The Domesday Book" - which is the Middle English way of spelling "The Doomsday Book." And the very first person to be listed in The Doomsday Book is a personwhose last name was, in fact, "Savage." So a person named [First Name] *Savage* was the first person to be listed in *The Doomsday Book.* Which, if you ask me, sounds fuckin' *METAL* as fuck.
Drew Mcintyre Broken Dreams, Undertakers Ministry of Darkness theme music, Ken Shamrock music always got me pumped, The Rocks 99/20 theme, Stone Colds NWO, Hollywood Hogan coming out Voodoo Child guitaring the Heavyweight belt
Mines is forever gonna be the undertakers theme from 04 on because its so iconic the 2nd is the rocks holywood theme because it fits him so well and it was cool as shit the 3rd one is btw dx and evolution i cant choose btw those two lmao my 4th is stone cold steve austins 2000-2001 heel theme Disturbed that shit got me hyped lmao my 5th is triple h time to play the game omg i use to do his spit enterance in the shower lmao lol

I complain about the music in today’s wrestling weekly. Thank you for this lmao
@Honest youtubr Nah blame those who give these wrestlers their themes 😂
AEW has good music.
Ruthless aggression era had the best themes...Edge, Triple H, Batista, Kane, Christian, Randy Orton, Cena, Brock, Benoit, Jericho and Punk all had bangers!!
World's Greatest Tag Team as well. I love their theme song.
A lot of generic nu metal. They ruined Kane's music during that era too.
Jeff Hardy and Mark Henry’s themes were good as well.
Because I played Smackdown vs Raw 2006 so much as a kid, Rene's theme is forever stuck in my head.

I always liked Mick Foley's theme with the car crash. It suited him because his matches were car crashes.
Same. He switched to it after his first WWE title win (the one that "put butts in seats")
