Not only does she have talent on and off the ball she brings a kind of energy that is infectious and joyous. I remember her running onto the field in the Olympics when Davidson got injured and it was an immediate jolt of energy. Her self deprecating humor ("I wish that was me") seems to help her team mates relax into game situations, almost like her joking helps to relieve some tensions on the field. IMO this is invaluable - not every team needs this type of player but the USWNT seems to thrive with her around.
