Rainier Beach vs. Garfield in a Metro League showdown. The Fans were turned away at the door because the gymnasium was full. There was electricity throughout the crowd as the home team Garfield trailed 16 to comeback in a 4th Qtr win over last years State Champions.
Rainier Beach Alumni Nate Robinson and Garfield Alumni Desjuan Newton was jawing throughout the entire game. The City is already talking about Game 2 and with Nathan Hale in the mix it looks like the WIAA State 2017 Tournament will even more intense. Stay Tuned...
