Homophobic people really forget that being straight,,,, is a sexuality. It’s not a sexuality under the queer umbrella but it is a sexuality. If a child can understand that mommy and daddy can love each other and get married and have a kid, and understand that a man and woman can love, they can understand sexuality at its absolute basic fundamentals.

As a young queer person who didn’t have any openly gay people in my life and stressed quite a bit about having a “normal” life, hearing a teacher like you mention your wife would have meant the world to me. To see another gay person in a loving relationship, with a job and a family just living life, as you say “just existing”, to then know it was possible for me too, would have brought young me so comfort. I spent so much time as a child/teen worrying I would never be able to lead a happy life because I’m queer and I hope that any young people out there who think the same find your videos so they can know being gay doesn’t mean you can’t have all the same things in life straight people have. @@afaithg30I’m aware that my opinion is the unpopular one here, but they are, in fact, not the same and do not share the same qualities. Marriage is Biblical, and between a man and woman. The original vows were “husband and wife.” Time and loss of Christian value is what changed. While I have friends who happen to be gay, they do not feel inclined to broadcast to an audience of their students, their sexual preference. She has stated that she is aware her students watch her videos and talk about them often. This is an inappropriate topic.
As for the “didn’t you just talk about your husband” comment.. this is a scientific, traditional, Christian value that is what a marriage was designed for. Whether you like it or not, america was founded on those very values. You can choose to not partake in Christianity, but if your claim is that Jesus doesn’t belong in schools, it’s easily refutable that neither does a lack thereof. As you can see from and uprise in constant crises, He is very much needed, yet we seem to find ways to push Him out, while praying for catastrophes to stop affecting our schools and wondering “where He is, if He’s real.” While allowing people to push Him out. Brush Him aside and devalue His word, then wonder why horrible things continue to happen. Maybe invite Him back into our lives and culture and stop setting Him aside for fear of the truth hurting feelings or to get likes on a comment?
That being said, I have friends who are gay, I’m not perfect myself, and its not ok to throw stones, but this is also not something to be taught or highlighted on a channel she has said her students watch. The video is making a point to an audience, too young to understand the basic concepts of reproduction and that marriage was intended for that purpose. You may say “they’re not too young to practice acceptance” to which I would argue, they’re too young to be confused about an adult concept.
Don’t lead people astray. Don’t encourage or enable confusion. Whether you see it or not, that’s what’s being done here. It is a confusion perpetrated by those who want to normalize unnatural concepts for their own personal need to feel normal. That isn’t done in traditional marriages. You see it in untraditional marriages for that very reason. It doesn’t fulfill a need or it wouldn’t matter who accepts it and who doesn’t. It wouldn’t even be a topic of conversation if untraditional marriage filled that void the way traditional does. It would be a non issue, hence, no need to discuss it.

That’s the problem around all religions. Beautiful books and meanings all get twisted to whatever a vast majority want it to be. People parrot that and a viscous cycle ensues. It’s sad how misconstrued everything gets and the damage that goes on to have. Round of applause to you guys for challenging that classmate of yours.

Now mind you of course she never forced the topic or pushed it but she would probably mention her wife ounce a week that. The pride flag was only ever talked about ounce and that was her showing us all the flags around her room. Great teacher totally changed my perspective and that’s how you can be a gay teacher in school and have everybody love you.

@@questions3983That’s not a good thing to assume. LGBTQ+ teens do not come from grooming or indoctrination. It’s not a decision they make.
