The multi-turret tanks work better in games than real-life because the player has instantaneous awareness and ability to command the different turrets to engage different targets at a moments notice. In real life the multi-turret tanks were awful due to them usually not having internal radios and awful situational awareness for the commander and terrible optics for the crew. One wonders though with todays ubiquitous cameras, optics, drones, and comms if perhaps multiple turrets could make a comeback from a design perspective, especially if they are unmanned or using partial AI guidance(think a COD aimbot but with a 30mm chain gun). Maybe 40K's Leman Russ is actually the tank of the future with its side mounts defending from Drones and FPVs.
Ive been playing a german conquest against the americans and with the mace mod and i modified the high resources file so i can have a unit cap of 1200, its fucking insane yet absolutely glorious
The real Men of War 2 would be if they just remade AS2 and didn't turn a game that was pitched as "eastern front" into a feature creep DLC-fest. (and also not require you buy yet another unrelated game for studio money laundering purposes)
